‘Crossfire Hurricane’: An FBI Insider Story On James Comey And How He Targeted Trump

Josh Campbell, who worked as special assistant to former FBI director James Comey, is clearly not a fan of Donald Trump. In latest book ‘Crossfire Hurricane’, however, he takes the readers behind the scenes of the earliest days of the Russia investigation—codenamed ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ by the FBI.

Only a handful of people knew about the Christopher ‘Steele dossier’ back then, they were a selected team close to James Comey, and they knew, based on the evidence, that the dossier was unverified.

Campbell reveals fresh new details about the meeting his boss [Comey] had with President Donald Trump at Trump Tower on January 6, 2017.

On our drive to Trump Tower, I asked the agent seated up front to slow our roll, and he eventually found an open space a few blocks away where we could pull over and wait for the others to catch up. “Do you have the laptop?” Comey inquired, the third time he had asked me that day. “Check,” I replied, pointing to the vehicle behind us, where an FBI communications specialist sat with a secure bag containing a laptop computer that was certified for the transmission of information classified as Top Secret.

Schiff Shafts Biden

Congressman Adam Schiff (to experience the deep void, look into his eyes) has fallen into a trap in which he aims at the president and wounds his party’s front-runner, Joe Biden, instead.

It’s not my imagination. MSN’s Chris Hayes tweets: “ I am watching this something turn into a story about Biden and am going to pass out.”

Let’s go to the old journalism rule, that a story should tell readers who, what, where, and sometimes why to see what’s news and what’s nonsense.

The Washington Post printed on its front page a story that the president made a call and a promise in it to an unspecified foreign leader, which so disturbed someone, he reported it. The story was sketchy, to say the least. Peter Suderman captured it precisely in a tweet:

So, a thing happened, and Trump was involved, and apparently so was a foreign leader, and someone in the natsec field became upset. But it's not clear what happened, or who the foreign leader was, or who is upset, or why?

Snapping at the hook, no less than three Democratic congressmen have opened separate investigations into whether the President is conspiring with Ukraine for favorable election results -- Adam Schiff, Elijah Cummings, and Eliot Engel.

Let’s walk back the cat, look at the latest reports and we’ll see how their desperate efforts to rid themselves of the President who’s almost certain to win a second term boomerang on Joe Biden.

The identity of the person the press claims is a whistleblower is unknown as yet. He, as the Other McCain notes, is almost certainly “a Democrat operative [snip] a perfect example of the ‘Deep State’ problem that Trump’s supporters have been talking about for three years. The bureaucrats seem to believe they should have more influence on U.S. policy than the President himself, if the President doesn’t share their world view.”

As the President observed earlier, all his conversations with foreign leaders are surely listened in on by various members of the intelligence community here and abroad, so the report of a “whistleblower” having access to secretive conversations seems utter bunk. Acting Director of...

Thousands march against African migrant centre in Irish town

Thousands gathered in a silent march on Saturday to highlight their objection to a migrant centre housing Africans in Oughterard, in Galway county, Ireland.

Galway county councillor Tom Welby called on Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Minister for Justice Charlie Flanagan to “come west” to Oughterard to face angry ordinary citizens. The Taoiseach is the prime minister and head of government of Ireland.

Some 1500 people participated in a march through the town, to express opposition to a migrant centre opening at the former Connemara Gateway Hotel. Welby led the march from the village’s Roman Catholic church and finished at the former hotel.

Many young families wearing yellow safety vests also participated, carrying banners stating “Oughterard says NO”.

The march took place a day after the Taoiseach called on Noel Grealish to “withdraw” and clarify his claim at a meeting in Oughterard last week that African asylum seekers are economic migrants coming to Ireland to “sponge” off taxpayers, the Irish Times reported.

Welby however said people in Oughterard were “not upset” at what Grealish had said. “They are upset that he is being asked to apologise,” according to Welby, who chaired a meeting of citizens attended by an estimated 800 people last Wednesday.

“The media is focusing on one word, as in ‘sponge’,” Welby said. “If Noel Grealish had used the word ‘avail of’ [taxpayers], no one would be talking about it,” the councillor pointed out.

“This is a 60-bed hotel, and we are hearing figures of 200 to 250 people being housed here…that is a 20 per cent increase in the population of Oughterard overnight,”he said....

CNN is working to cover its own fake news story about the whistleblower that they believe heard President Donald Trump ask the Ukrainian president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.

In a story that CNN published on the controversy on Saturday it admitted that the whistleblower did not hear anything.

“The whistleblower didn’t have direct knowledge of the communications, an official briefed on the matter told CNN,” CNN said.

“Instead, the whistleblower’s concerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work, and those details have played a role in the administration’s determination that the complaint didn’t fit the reporting requirements under the intelligence whistleblower law, the official said,” it said.

That is a mega change from the story that the whistleblower heard the president ask for the Ukraine to investigate Biden.

For the past 48 hours CNN has pushed every conspiracy theory one could imagine about the report that they have not seen.

And Rep. Adam Schiff was in front of cameras talking about the president asking for foreign interference in the 2020 election, as he did with Russiagate.

There has not been any apology from CNN for promoting this story and for promoting more fake news against President Trump.

They suggested that the president could have held the $250 million in aid from the Ukraine if they did not investigate Biden.

And the whistleblower did not hear a word of it. It is a bust the same way the Russia story was a bust and no one has apologized.

The news comes after the Ukraine Foreign Minister said that President Trump did not do what the media has accused him of.
