While having dinner, what appeared to be a drug-addled gentleman walked by our table, and my daughter whispered to me that these towns are struggling badly with opioid addiction.
This is not surprising. While the towns have plenty of charm, all of them are struggling economically due to the absence of industry. Driving through gutted out main streets, it is easy to imagine how these towns bustled in years past. It is hard not to be left with a sense of anger and sorrow.
Even as Democrats failed Americans living in the inner-city areas, politicians from both parties failed the people in these rural towns, viewing them as collateral damage in their globalization crusade.
Candidate and then president Donald Trump spoke to the problem ravaging small towns across America, particularly in the rust belt. Instead of telling these Americans that they needed to accept their sad lot in life, he fought for them as he sought to bring industry back. He is having some real success. Even this week, the president was able to point to Navistar, Apple, Hyundai Motor Group, and Aptiv as having plans to bring jobs back to America. Juan Carlos Morales-Pedraza, a 33-year-old Ecuadorian national who’d been deported in 2010 but snuck back into the U.S., abducted the girl this past April and transported her to Ohio “with the intent that she engage in sexual activity,” U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said.
A superseding indictment returned by a grand jury in U.S. District Court in Newark charges Morales-Pedraza with kidnapping, illegal transportation of a minor and illegally re-entering the country as a removed alien, Carpenito said Tuesday.
U.S. District Judge Stanley R. Chesler ordered the he remain held without bond after Morales-Pedraza entered a not-guilty plea during his first court appearance on Tuesday.
A state trooper pulled over Morales-Pedraza’s 2013 Nissan Sentra on westbound Route 80 in Lucas County on April 16 for failing to yield, the Ohio Highway Patrol said at the time.

Experts Warn We Have Only 12 Years Left Until They Change The Timeline On Global Warming Again
WORLD—Climate experts have solemnly warned that we only have twelve years left until they change the dates on global warming again.
"If we don't take action, then in 12 years we will have to explain why the world hasn't ended and come up with a new number," one UN scientist warned. "This is a very serious threat, and we urge everyone to hand control of the economy to the government immediately before we have no more time left to change the timeline again."
The scientific consensus is that roughly 10-12 years from now, the world will be flooded with new doomsday predictions. This can all be avoided if we overhaul the economy and become socialists, according to non-political, unbiased sciencey type guys.
