Ninety miles from the South Eastern tip of the United States, Liberty has no stead. In order for Liberty to exist and thrive, Tyranny must be identified, recognized, confronted and extinguished.

The FBI’s Newest Crime Report Has Bad News for Gun Control Advocates
The Trump presidency has been one of records – record low unemployment, record gains in the stock market, record economic optimism, record regulatory cuts, and now in crime reduction.
The FBI’s crime report for the year 2018 has been released, and it shows that America is becoming safer. It also found that in a year where gun control again became an issue brought to the forefront politically, gun violence declined overall, especially among the most politicized weapons.
According to the report, violent decline declined from 3.3% from 2017 to 369 offenses per 100,000 people, while property crimes fell 6.3% to 2,200 per 100,000. This marked the sixteenth consecutive year that both types of crime fell. An additional 39 agencies reported crime to the FBI from 2017, to 18,586 total. Of note, total losses from property crime totaled $16.4 billion, or only roughly $50 per American, which admittedly was far smaller than I expected.
Most relevant, firearm homicides fell 7% from 10,982 in 2017 to 10,265 in 2018.
When isolated by type of firearm, firearm violence fell the most in 2018 among the types of weapons that were demonized most in the media – rifles. Rifle homicides fell 26% from 403 to 297.
Rifles were a relatively unpopular method to commit homicide with, as they always have been historically. While they always are mentioned in the news when they’re used to kill multiple people at once, they compose a sliver of total murders. Knives and other cutting instruments killed over five times as many people, or 1,515. Blunt objects (such as clubs and hammers) killed 443, while fists killed 668.
What this latest FBI crime report proves is that America is continuously becoming a safer country without interruption. From 1993-2010 firearm homicides were cut in half, and they’ve only continued to fall since.

Mitt Romney Cozies Up to Pelosi on Impeachment
RUSH: Here’s Matthew. Matthew in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Great to have you on the program. Hi.
CALLER: It’s great to be here, Rush. I’ve been listening to you for four years and I finally hit the Rush Limbaugh Show jackpot and got through. If I could sum up the Democrats’ approach to impeachment, the phrase I would use is, “The surgery is successful, but the patient has died because no matter what they do or how they do it, even if it passes in the House, when it goes to the Senate, the majority Republican Senate is not gonna pass impeachment.”
And then my question is that if in 2020 Republicans sweep and get the House, the Senate, and presidency, what are the next four years gonna look like under Trump, who has no handcuffs. He doesn’t have to be diplomatic and work for reelection, he’s got the last four years, what do you think that looks like?
RUSH: Let me take the first observation you made, Matthew. You said that even if the Democrats vote articles of impeachment out of the House, meaning that there would be a trial in the Senate, then there’s no way Trump’s gonna be found guilty. The Republicans control the Senate. They’re not going to ever convict Trump.
I want to tell you, Matthew, that yesterday and today Senator Mitt Romney, Republican, Utah, had phone calls or meetings, whatever, with Pelosi and assured her there was Republican support to remove Trump. Romney is a Never Trumper, and, if he can, he will get rid of Trump. I don’t think that means that Romney has enough Republicans to actually convict. Romney is just staking a claim to a political position. Romney thinks it’s in his best political interests for everybody to think he hates Trump. That’s how he thinks he’s going to politically benefit, whatever his next ambitions are.
See, Romney’s one of these RINOs, a mainstream Republican who’s almost afraid to be a Republican and thinks he’s gotta apologize for Republicans and who they are and conservatives and who they are. He’s one of these guys that wants to go out and try to make sure that whenever the Democrats want to attack Republicans, they leave him alone ’cause he’s actually reasonable and all.
This is the guy — and I want everybody to remember this — this is the guy that Harry Reid said in 2012 that a friend told him Romney hadn’t paid his taxes in 10 years. The media said to Harry Reid, “Well, what who’s your friend? We need to ask somebody about this, where’s your proof?” And Harry Reid said, “You’re asking the wrong guy. You need to go ask Romney why he hasn’t paid his taxes in 10 years.”
So they did. And so it became an ongoing part of Romney’s presidential campaign that he is alleged to not have paid taxes in 10 years. Everybody knew it was bogus but they ran with it anyway. Romney’s cozying up to these people? Mitt Romney was also the target of dirty Democrat ads claiming that an employee of his wife died because Romney was so cold-hearted he didn’t extend health care to the guy’s wife. And so the guy’s wife died and Romney didn’t care. And Romney is cozying up to these guys?
And can we forget, they said Mitt Romney hates animals. Family vacation, put the dog on the top of the station wagon. Then when Romney was trying to prove that he was not involved in a War on...

10Anachronistic Artillery
Divers from the Royal Navy had to dispose of a German World War II bomb they found in the wreck of a 17th century warship.England was bombed heavily during the war and it is not uncommon for intact explosive devices to still be discovered to this day.The location of this ordnance, however, took everyone by surprise. Historical divers stumbled upon it while exploring the shipwreck of the London, a vessel that sunk in 1665 and is currently sitting at the bottom of the Thames near Southend Pier in Essex. They immediately alerted the navy who discovered that the unexploded device was actually one of the largest pieces of ordnance used by the Luftwaffe—a parachute ground mine which contained almost 700 kilograms (1,540 lbs) of Hexamite or the equivalent of 767 kilograms (1,690 lbs) of TNT. Disposing of the bomb safely proved to be a challenge considering there was zero visibility and a powerful tidal flow to deal with. An eight-man team of Royal Navy divers took 27 hours and 20 dives to tow the mine and detonate it at a disposal site in Shoeburyness.[1]
9A Wrong Turn To Victory
A nine-year-old boy accidentally took part in a race for adults and won the whole thing.Last weekend, the Francis Franny Flyer event took place in Sartell, Minnesota. It is a 10-kilometer (6.2 mi) race with a separate 5-kilometer (3.1 mi) circuit for children that join up at the halfway point. Fourth-grader Kade Lovell from St. Cloud, Minnesota, loves to run and has set the record for the 5K event in his age group last year. Understandably, his mother was expecting him to win or, at least, be at the front of the pack. So when all the young racers started finishing and Kade wasn’t there, she got worried. What if he got lost or injured or, maybe, even kidnapped? As it turned out, Kade was fine. He had not only finished his race, but he took a wrong turn and ended up in the adult rally. According to him, a lady told him to “keep going straight” so he did. He ended up winning the adult race with a time of 48 minutes, a whole minute faster than second place.[2]
8Nigel Night
It was a celebration of everything “Nigel” at a pub in Worcestershire, England, where there was a “Nigel Night” party in honor of the quintessentially British name which is quickly declining in popularity.Records show that only eight Nigels were born in England and Wales in 2018. This shocked Nigel Smith, owner of the Fleece Inn, who decided that he wanted to do something to celebrate the “dying breed” of Nigels. He hosted a party on Saturday where 432 Nigels showed up, ranging in age from seven months to 80 years old. They came from far and wide, including Australia, New Zealand, California, and Texas. The event grew so large that there wasn’t enough room in Smith’s pub and he had to set up a marquee tent outside. Other people were also allowed to attend, despite their lack of “Nigel-ness”.The night’s entertainment included a comedian and two singers called Nigel, a special brew named Nige-ale, and an emotional moment where a woman proposed to her Nigel on stage.[3]
7For Your Viewing Pleasure
Hackers have been busy last weekend breaking into devices to show porn in places where you don’t usually see porn. We have not one, but two cases in different parts of the world: one in New Zealand and the other in the United States.First, there was the flagship store for sports company Asics in Auckland. The shop has outdoor screens above the entrance that normally play promotional videos. However, on Saturday night, someone gained access and played pornography on them for nine hours until staff arrived the next morning. According to a security officer, some people were shocked and offended, but others simply stopped and watched for a while before moving on.A similar thing happened in Auburn Hills, Michigan, except the raunchy content was displayed on an electronic billboard for motorists traveling along Interstate 75 to enjoy. Unfortunately, this adult entertainment only lasted for 30 minutes before it was taken down. Police have footage of two hooded men breaking into a small on-site building where the laptop connected to the billboard was stored.[4]
