Joe Biden Would Ban All Online Gun and Ammunition Sales as President
This would prove hugely destructive to America’s Second Amendment community.
Joe Biden’s gun policy page on his campaign website states that he would ban all online gun and ammunition sales as President, a draconian policy that has largely gone unnoticed thus far in a Democratic primary that has seen serious candidates calling for the mandatory confiscation of semiautomatic rifles.
The proposition is in the middle of his lengthy gun control policy platform, which features calls to outright ban the sale of new semiautomatic rifles and hold gun manufacturers liable for crimes committed with the use of their products.

Buying a gun online is substantively similar to actually buying a gun in person. Online vendors are required to transfer the firearm to a registered Federal Firearms License holder, who conducts the same federal background check that would be carried out for any other sale for a price. Federal firearms licensees are almost always gun retailers themselves, making the process not too different at all from a fully in-person sale.
Outright banning online gun and ammunition sales would wholly segregate the nation’s law-abiding firearms community for participating in the world of e-commerce. E-commerce giants such as Amazon and Ebay already restrict the sales of guns and ammo on their platforms, a move that actually enables a diverse online community of retailers to take up a stake in the industry.
Simply eliminating online sales overnight would destroy countless profitable small businesses, putting up to tens of thousands of people out of their jobs. It would drive up prices for America’s hunting, sporting and self-defense enthusiasm, forcing them to limit their options for a retail market that massive corporations are already seeking to restrict even further.

In the prior controversy in April 2019, Williams declared that “all self-identified white people (no exceptions) are invested in and collude with systematic white racism/white supremacy” and other racially charged comments. He declared “it is past time for the racially oppressed to do what people who believe themselves to be ‘white’ will not do, put end to the vectors of their destructive mythology of whiteness and their white supremacy system. #LetThemFuckingDie.” He was denounced for suggesting that the victims of the massacre at a congressional baseball game should have been allowed to just die and he called white people “inhuman a**holes.”
In his new opinion piece entitled “I tweeted ‘whiteness is terrorism’ and was condemned for it. Here’s why I’m right,” Williams writes that white is not a race but a socially constructed category designed to oppress minorities. He also denounced the concept of individualism in this context:
But white supremacy is not merely confined to openly bigoted whites but also people who see themselves as individuals, rather than a member of a socially constructed racial group and system. Individualism denies the very existence of systemic white racism by reducing it to individual hate and discrimination. People immersed in individualism claim innocence or refuse to consider how the cultural environment of white supremacy we inhabit shapes our racial identities and world views and further informs how we perceive and interact with others within a hierarchical racial order. To overcome this obstacle, it is imperative that people who imagine themselves as white, grasp how their socialization into whiteness guarantees their participation in everyday systemic white racism.

Whiteness by its very definition and operation as a key element of white supremacy kills; it is mental and physical terrorism. To end the white terrorism that is directed at racially oppressed people here and in other nations, it is essential that self-identified whites and their whiteness collaborators among the racially oppressed confront their white problem head-on, unencumbered by racial comfort. Such comfortableness enables folks immersed in whiteness to disregard their complicity in systemic white racism, forestalling the destruction of white supremacy.
I actually found the opinion piece to be thought-provoking even though I disagreed with it. My concern is that, if you flip the racial references from black to white, there would be little question that an academic would be fired at Trinity. Potential Biden Cabinet list circulates; who’s who of past Dem losers will likely motivate Trump voters
A new “Axios on HBO” column by Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen offers a peak behind the curtain of what a Joe Biden administration might look like, and it’s sure to provide additional motivation to those on the right to ensure that President Donald Trump is reelected.
On the other hand, some may suggest that this is part of an ongoing effort to project Biden as the winner of the Democratic primary, in hopes of avoiding socialist Bernie Sanders being the party’s nominee.
According to VandeHei and Allen, who cite the prerequisite top anonymous sources, Biden confidants are privately discussing potential leaders and Cabinet members for his White House.
Heading up that list is reportedly “the need to name a woman or African American — perhaps both — as vice president.” A requirement that may quietly say all that needs to be said about the inroads Trump has made in the black community.
With some critics suggest senility may be slowly overtaking 77-year-old Biden, who he selects as vie president is all the more crucial — and with names such as failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams being bandied about, it’s enough to make Americans shudder.
Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., is also named as a possibility here — given her recent sucking up to Biden, Harris maybe the favorite here. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is another name mentioned.
The column suggested that Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., whose support was critical to Biden winning South Carolina, may have the final say on who the VP nominee is.
On the other hand, there’s some who think Hillary Clinton may be that person.
In light of the concerns about Biden’s state of mind, conservative actor James Woods tweeted he will select Clinton to be his vice-president, only to “gracefully resign as his dementia worsens and… Voila! #MadamePresident at last!”
But that’s just the beginning of what a Biden administration is expected to look like.
VandeHei and Allen write that Biden’s advisers described a “Return to Normal plan” that will counter Trump’s “unorthodox, improvisational style,” saying Biden plans to surround himself with known, trusted people — trusted on the left, of course.
