New York Woman Gets 13 Years For Funding ISIS With Bitcoin

Zoobia Shahnaz was sentenced to 13 years’ imprisonment by United States District Judge Joanna Seybert for providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization, specifically more than $150,000 to the Islamic State, and attempting to travel to Syria to join ISIS. Shahnaz pleaded guilty in November 2018.

Between March 2017 and July 2017, Shahnaz defrauded numerous financial institutions to obtain money for ISIS, including a loan for approximately $22,500. Shahnaz also fraudulently obtained more than a dozen credit cards and used them to purchase approximately $62,000 in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies online. Shahnaz then made multiple wire transfers totaling more than $150,000 to individuals and entities in Pakistan, China and Turkey that were fronts for ISIS.

Shahnaz accessed ISIS violent jihad-related websites and message boards, and social media and messaging pages of known ISIS recruiters, facilitators and financiers. She also performed numerous internet searches for information that would facilitate her entry into Syria. Court-authorized search warrants executed at Shahnaz’s residence on Long Island resulted in the seizure of terrorist and jihad-related propaganda, including a photograph of a suicide belt of explosives and a night vision scope.

Greta Thunberg Condemns Coronavirus For Causing Apocalypse 10 Years Early

STOCKHOLM—Greta Thunberg has come out to condemn the coronavirus outbreak, saying the virus callously ended the world ten years before climate change even had the chance to.

As Thunberg is known for her fiery speeches and doomsday predictions about climate change, she began to worry that the spread of this virus would take the spotlight off her and her brave efforts and instead cause the world to worry about an actual, immediate crisis.

Finland’s left-wing, feminist-led government has expressed an intention to subvert Greece’s sovereignty and support the invasion of Europe by helping illegal migrants from Turkey claim asylum.

When Turkish PM Recep Erdogan announced at the end of last month that his country would facilitate the passage of potentially hundreds of thousands of migrants into Europe, the situation on the Greek border quickly flared into a crisis. Mainstream reports have revealed the Turkish military is offering transportation to migrants, as well as arming them and even attacking Greek border guards.

With tens of thousands of Muslim migrants massing at the border to Europe and attempting to force entry, promising a repeat of the disastrous refugee crisis of 2015-2016, even the EU was forced to contend with the situation and sent border patrol reinforcement to Greece. Patriotic Eastern European nations, in particular Poland and Austria, also sent muscular support with the intention of helping Greece keep defend their borders.

However, the feminist-led government of Finland has taken a different approach, stating that its own personnel, rather than turning people away, will help them claim asylum, in a series of confusing statements given by its cabinet ministers.

Maria Ohisalo, the Interior Minister and Green Party member, said that Finland would “support Greece” by “abiding by international obligations” which include both secure borders and a “right to apply for asylum,” despite ostensibly recognizing “Turkey’s attempts to use people as political pawns.”

George Washington and America’s Ides of March

He secured a future for his country emulating Cincinnatus, not Julius Caesar.
March was an important month for George Washington. He resisted the opportunity to become a military dictator in March. And he rode away from America’s presidency in March.

A man of action rather than ideas, the Virginia planter turned continental military commander turned national politician probably did more than any other person to make the United States. It was no easy task. And his most important act was perhaps the simplest: leaving office.

Looking back, we can see that his record was hardly pure. A troubled slave-owner, he disliked but did not challenge the institution. His generalship originally expected too much of poorly trained men, but his leadership helped sustain the fight. As president he underestimated the divisions among a people reluctantly living under a much-criticized Constitution. Yet he was the indispensable man, the chief executive most likely to be accepted as legitimate by all. Without him it is hard to imagine America having been born or survived.

Yet he walked away from the pinnacle of power.

More than once Washington could have been king, in form if not title. In 1783 after active hostilities had ended anger burst forth from soldiers long unpaid and taken for granted. Encamped at Newburgh, New York after the war’s effective end, they clamored for action against the Congress (serving under the Articles of Confederation). The threat was serious: Previously a memo on the subject had been sent to the legislature by several officers, warning that “any further experiments on their patience may have fatal effects.”

The national government, one in name only, had no money. Congress had no means to raise funds, instead depending on the states, which proved recalcitrant. So nothing was done, stoking soldiers’ anger. There is disagreement over whether the ultimate objective was to stage a coup or force action by appearing ready to stage a coup.

Washington forthrightly refused to direct the army against the civilian authorities. But in mid-March at Newburgh two anonymous letters circulated advocating that an ultimatum be sent to the Congress, claiming Washington’s support, and calling for a meeting of field officers. It was later learned that the documents were penned by an aide to the ambitious and vainglorious Horatio Gates, though the latter’s role is uncertain.

Washington took control, unexpectedly attending and addressing the gathering on March 15. He skillfully manipulated men hardened in battle with his famed Newburgh Address. He denounced the initial “anonymous summons” that brought the officers together: “How inconsistent with the rules of propriety, how unmilitary and how subversive of all order and discipline, let the good sense of the army decide.”

Recognizing that his leadership had been questioned, he observed: “But as I was among the first who embarked in the cause of our common country; as I have never left your side one moment, but when called from you on public duty; as I have been the constant companion and witness of your distresses, and not among the last to feel and acknowledge your merits; as I have ever considered my own military reputation as inseparably connected with that of the army; as my heart has ever expanded with joy, when I have heard its praises, and my indignation has arisen when the mouth of detraction has been opened against it, it can scarcely be supposed, at this late stage of the war, that I am indifferent to its interests.”

Then he cited the larger cause, criticizing “This dreadful alternative of either deserting our country in the extremist hour of her distress, or turning our arms against it, which is the apparent object, unless Congress can be compelled into instant compliance, has something so shocking in it, that humanity revolts at the idea.” After stating his belief that the Congress would do justice to their claims, he closed with a call on them:

How The EU’s Open Borders Created A Coronavirus Nightmare For All Of Europe

There are a couple of critically important points coming from the information below.

The first is how right President Trump was to quickly block travel from China at the outset of the coronavirus outbreak. The media attacked him for doing so but now, in hindsight, it’s undeniable how right he was and how wrong were his detractors. That travel ban bought the United States time to prepare – preparations that are now fully underway and resulting in coronavirus numbers far lower than they would have otherwise been.

Second, is how vulnerable the EU’s open border policies made those European nations to an impending health crisis. Hopefully, once this health scare passes, as it will, leaders in Europe and around the world will have taken note and then move to do something about it.

Switzerland: 256.2

Spain: 167.8

What do they all have in common? They are participating members of the EU’s open borders policy.

This revealing trend of stronger border security vs lower coronavirus transmission rates is further proven by Japan which has especially strong border security/immigration policies. Currently Japan’s transmission rate per million is just 6.6.

Putting it another way, Italy has a transmission rate that is nearly 70x greater than Japan and 40x greater than the United States.

President Trump said he is seriously considering a pardon for former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.
