Floodlit in the hazy distance The star of this unearthly show Venting vapors, like the breath Of a sleeping white dragon...

Lit up with anticipation
We arrive at the launching site
The sky is still dark, nearing dawn
On the Florida coastline

Circling choppers slash the night
With roving searchlight beams
This magic day when super-science
Mingles with the bright stuff of dreams

Floodlit in the hazy distance
The star of this unearthly show
Venting vapors, like the breath
Of a sleeping white dragon

Crackling speakers, voices tense
Resume the final count
All systems check, T-minus-nine
As the sun and the drama start to mount
The air is charged, a humid, motionless mass
The crowds and the cameras
The cars full of spectators pass

Excitement so thick, you could cut it with a knife
Technology high, on the leading edge of life
The earth beneath us starts to tremble
With the spreading of a low…

Comparing The Floyd Riots To The Boston Tea Party Insults Actual Patriots

The Boston Tea Party patriots who protested British oppression have nothing in common with rioters who ravage American cities for personal gain.

One of the most galling and misleading arguments tossed around following the death of George Floyd is an attempt to draw a parallel between the carnage sweeping the nation and the Boston Tea Party.

In this clumsy effort, “riot” has become just the latest word twisted for political purposes. Merriam-Webster defines “riot” as:

A violent public disorder; specifically: a tumultuous disturbance of the public peace by three or more persons assembled together and acting with a common intent.

It takes an impressive level of historical illiteracy to describe the Boston Tea Party as a “riot.” And while the spread of bad history is always lamentable, when agitators warp events like the original Tea Party to justify setting fire to American cities the deception becomes dangerous.

True Defenders of Liberty

On December 16, 1773, some 30 to 130 members of the patriot group known as the Sons of Liberty—some dressed as Mohawk warriors—boarded three British shipping vessels docked at Griffin’s Wharf and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston harbor.

Though many witnessed the event’s aftermath, it was a moonlit, covert act completed in three hours. No harm came to the ships and crews of the Beaver, Dartmouth, and Eleanor. No violence or confrontations of any kind took place between the British soldiers, colonial patriots, or Tory loyalists that night.

The justifiable motives of the event were, namely, the oppressive Townshend Acts and the Tea Act of 1773. More broadly, it was part of the growing frustration of American colonists being taxed without representation.

The colonials were under the correct impression that the 1689 English Bill of Rights recognized certain fundamental rights granted to all Englishmen. In response to the denial of these rights, the colonists struck back at the...

Refugee Rights Activist Arrested in NYC; Alleged to Have Thrown Incendiary Device at Police Car

Urooj Rahman prepares to throw a Molotov cocktail. Gee I wonder where she learned her bomb making skills.

One of the lawyers charged with hurling Molotov cocktails at a police cruiser is a 32-year-old Princeton educated lawyer and his partner in (alleged) crime is a 31-year-old “human rights” lawyer and activist who worked on refugee issues in Turkey.

Here is a bit of the news from the NY Post:
Accused Molotov cocktail hurler is Ivy League-educated lawyer, community board member

A Ivy League-educated lawyer and member of a Brooklyn community board was among those arrested for hurling a Molotov cocktail at a marked NYPD vehicle amid George Floyd protests, it was revealed Sunday.Colinford King Mattis at his graduation from NYU law school.

Colinford Mattis, 32, was allegedly behind the wheel of a tan minivan as his passenger, fellow attorney Urooj Rahman, allegedly hurled the incendiary at an empty NYPD vehicle outside the 88th Precinct station house in Fort Greene early on Saturday.

Mattis, a graduate of Princeton University and New York University law school, is an associate at corporate Manhattan firm Pryor Cashman.

Rahman, 31, meanwhile, is also registered as an attorney in New York state, who was admitted to the bar in June 2019 after graduating from Fordham University School of Law. It was not immediately clear on Sunday whether she was affiliated with any law firm.

It’s unclear how she and Mattis know each other.

The Brooklyn residents are federally charged with causing damage by fire and explosives to a police vehicle, during demonstrations over the...

Watch: Rioters Beat Man in Santa Monica Streets After Defending a Pushed over Cyclist

Rioters in Santa Monica on Sunday beat up a man carrying a hockey stick to defend a woman cyclist who was pushed over, according to a video posted to social media.

Several men approached the man with the hockey stick as he tried to fight them off. Shoving him to the ground, the group began kicking him and beating him in the street.

Rioting and looting continued at Santa Monica stores in broad daylight on Sunday afternoon immediately after a peaceful protest in the area.

Several stores had the windows smashed as some looters ran inside, grabbed items, and...

Trump announces designation of Antifa as a terrorist organization

President Donald Trump today announced that the federal government is designating Antifa as a terrorist organization.

The move comes after the radical-left coalition is believed to have instigated looting, property destruction, and physical violence all across the country in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd while he was in the custody of the Minneapolis police.

This formal designation will allow the feds, including the FBI, to devote their massive national security resources to investigate and neutralize the nihilistic group.

Ironically in the extreme, the group that derived its name as an anti-fascist movement has consistently behaved in a very fascistic manner and, over the past few days, contaminated peaceful protests by those who seek justice in the Floyd police misconduct case.

Last July, Trump tweeted that he was considering naming Antifa, which he described as “gutless Radical Left Wack Jobs who go around hitting (only non-fighters) people over the heads with baseball bats,” as a terrorist entity.

The president apparently decided the time is now.

Yesterday, during his Cape Canaveral speech, President Trump declared that “The violence and vandalism is being led by Antifa and other radical left-wing groups who are terrorizing the innocent, destroying jobs, hurting businesses and burning down buildings…my administration will stop mob violence and we’ll stop it cold.”

The decision by Trump was perhaps telegraphed, to some degree, by U.S. Attorney General William Barr who said yesterday that “groups of outside radicals and agitators are exploiting the situation to pursue their own separate and violent agenda. In many places, it appears the violence is planned, organized, and driven by anarchistic and far-left extremists, using Antifa-like tactics, many of whom travel from...
