How Affirmative Action Screwed Up Michelle Obama

In 1985, Michelle Obama presented her senior thesis in the sociology department of Princeton University. Although Michelle drew no such conclusion, the thesis is a stunning indictment of affirmative action. Those who benefited from it, Michelle most notably, may never recover from its sting.

Her thesis reads like a cry for help. "I have found that at Princeton no matter how matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me," she writes, "I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as I really don't belong."

She didn't. Michelle should never have been admitted to Princeton. Thanks to the "numerous opportunities" presented by affirmative action, however, Princeton is where she found herself. "Told by counselors that her SAT scores and her grades weren't good enough for an Ivy League school," writes biographer Christopher Andersen, "Michelle applied to Princeton and Harvard anyway." Sympathetic biographer Liza Mundy writes, "Michelle frequently deplores the modern reliance on test scores, describing herself as a person who did not test well."

She did not write well, either. She even typed badly. Mundy charitably describes the thesis as "dense and turgid." The less charitable Christopher Hitchens observed, "To describe [the thesis] as hard to read would be a mistake; the thesis cannot be 'read' at all, in the strict sense of the verb. This is because it wasn't written in any known language."

Hitchens exaggerates only a little. The following summary statement by Michelle captures her unfamiliarity with many of the rules of grammar and most of logic:
The study inquires about the respondents' motivations to benefit him/herself, and the following social groups: the family, the Black community, the White community, God and church, The U.S. society, the non-White races of the world, and the human species as a whole.
The design of the thesis is a disaster, but the idea behind it is not a bad one. Michelle wanted to gauge the attitudes of black Princeton alumni on a range of variables. She sent her survey to 400 alumni; 89 responded, 60 percent of whom were male, 80 percent of whom were between the ages of 25 and 34.

The survey is a stark exercise in black and white. Michelle never uses the phrase "African-American." It had apparently not yet entered the lexicon. Nor does she retreat to phrases like "people of color" or "minority groups." In her world, there are only black people and white people.

White people intimidate her, as they appear to do to many of the alumni. Although most of the survey results are either impossible to decipher or irrelevant, one set of data is worth attention. The alumni were asked whether they felt comfortable around whites.

On the question of social comfort, 17 percent of the respondents claimed to have been comfortable with whites before Princeton, 6 percent while at Princeton, and 2 percent post-Princeton.

On the question of intellectual comfort, 24 percent of the respondents claimed to have been comfortable with whites before Princeton, 8 percent while at Princeton, and 8 percent post-Princeton. As Michelle notes, black students were forced "to compete intellectually with whites." For those like herself who didn't test well, the competition had to deliver a body blow to the old self-esteem.

"Blacks may be more comfortable with Whites," Michelle hypothesizes, "as a result of a greater amount of exposure to whites in an academic setting while at Princeton." This was standard academic cant then. It still is today. In fact, the exact opposite happened. On the question of general comfort, 13 percent of the respondents claimed to have been comfortable with whites before Princeton, 4 percent while at Princeton, and only 1 percent post-Princeton. Michelle had stumbled upon a seriously inconvenient truth.

Michelle was not among the one percent. As a senior at Princeton, for instance, she imagines herself going forward "on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant." In a sense, she never let herself.

Having learned little from her Princeton experience, Michelle applied to Harvard Law and was admitted for the same reason her husband would later be...

US College Entrance Exam Board Gets Chinese Communist Party Cash To Push Propaganda

COLLEGE BOARD, THE ORGANIZATION WHICH OVERSEES COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMS IN THE UNITED STATES, IS HELPING TO EMBED CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY-FUNDED CONFUCIUS INSTITUTES IN AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOLS, GRANTING THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT THE ABILITY TO DICTATE WHAT IS TAUGHT IN CLASSROOMS, THE NATIONAL PULSE CAN REVEAL.

The organization, which has existed for over 120 years, has partnered with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) groups, including the notorious propaganda front known as Hanban, or Confucius Institutes, on conferences, delegations to China, and curricula decisions.

The National Pulse can today reveal that College Board, which receives hundreds of millions of dollars from the U.S. Department of Education, offers a “Chinese Guest Teacher Program” for K-12 institutions in partnership with the Confucius Institutes, the CCP-funded, controversial operation that purports to be a language and culture initiative. Every year, the program “serves hundreds of K–12 schools and districts nationwide and reaches tens of thousands of U.S. students.”

In reality, Confucius Institutes launder propaganda for the Chinese government, and in the words of the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, are replete with “undisclosed ties to Chinese institutions, and conflicted loyalties.”

Confucius Institutes have also been linked with intellectual property theft, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

Despite this, College Board President David Coleman has extolled the virtues of Hanban, the colloquial Chinese abbreviation for the Confucius Institutes, with his comments amplified by Chinese state media:
“Hanban is just like the sun. It lights the path to develop Chinese teaching in the US. The College Board is the moon. I am so honored to reflect the light that we’ve gotten from Hanban.”

The Guest Teacher Program also notes that Confucius Institute teachers “assist in curriculum development,” bridging the gap between Chinese propaganda and American schools.

Confucius Institute teachers are encouraged to use textbooks written by a part of the Chinese Communist Party called the...

Video: Marxist BLM Protest Leader Calls For Black Militia, Revolution

“The police is no different from the KKK”.

The true face of the organised Black Lives Matter movement reared its head during a protest in London this past weekend, as a protest leader called for an end to capitalism, and the creation of a “black militia” to foment a revolution.

In video obtained by Breitbart News, protesters are seen in marxist paramilitary garb, complete with berets, with the ringleader barking proclamations about how racism “thrives on capitalism”.

Amid chants of “take it to the streets… fuck the police” and “no justice, no peace”, the activist claimed that “The police is no different from the KKK. They stand around and protect statues and buildings instead of people.”

In a further bizarre declaration the woman also decreed that “They need to join the local council and litter pick too.”

After calling for the formation of a “Black Militia”, the woman claimed that “I’m not saying it because I want people to fear and think we’re coming violent.”

“What we’re saying is: you push we push, you fight we fight. Peace is not peace until you recognise our life, and we’re not gonna lay down anymore,” she added, further proclaiming that there is “one solution: revolution!”

The activist also denied that the BLM movement is anti-semitic for supporting a free Palestine, but commanded “Don’t let no Jewish man create a way to be unheard, to make you unheard. Silence is violence, if we keep silent we are also a part of...

Nike Among Global Brands That Use Uyghur Muslims Forced Slave Labor In China...

Uyghur Muslims at a factory in China.

The Chinese government is forcing thousands of its Uyghur Muslim citizens to work as “forced labour” in hundreds of factories across Chinese cities, according to a report published by an Australian think tank in March this year.

The report released by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) titled “Uyghurs for Sale” stated that big, well-known global companies in the field of clothing, technology and automotive sectors like Abercrombie & Fitch, Amazon, GAP, H&M, Nike, Jack & Jones, Sharp, Siemens, Skechers, ASUS, Apple, Samsung, Huawei, BMW, Volkswagen, Sony, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma, Victoria’s Secret, Vivo, among others, are using Uyghur Muslims as “forced labour” in their factories in China.

According to the report, these minority labour forces in China are being supplied in a systematic way under the revived and exploitative government-led labour transfer scheme to Chinese factories outside the Xinjiang province in China where this community of Muslims live.

“The ASPI has identified 27 factories in nine Chinese provinces that are using Uyghur labour transferred from Xinjiang since 2017. Those factories claim to be part of the supply chain of 83 well-known global brands. Between 2017 and 2019, we estimate that at least 80,000 Uyghurs were transferred out of Xinjiang and assigned to factories through labour transfer programmes under a Central government policy known as ‘Xinjiang Aid’,” the report said.

The factories in which these Uyghur Muslims are made to work form a major chunk of the supply chain of these big brands. For example, in January 2020, around 600 ethnic minority workers from Xinjiang were employed at Qingdao Taekwang Shoes Co. Ltd, which makes shoes for the American company Nike. The workforce in this factory are mostly Uyghur women from Hotan and Kashgar towns in China, which are remote parts of southern Xinjiang that the Chinese government has described as “backward” and “disturbed by religious extremism”.

The report also mentions that it had investigated into the Haoyuanpeng Clothing Manufacturing Co. Ltd, which has a strategic partnership with global companies like the Italian-South Korean fashion label Fila, German sportswear companies Adidas and Puma and Nike for manufacturing clothes and...

NBA Store Allows ‘Defund Police,’ ‘Beware of Jews’ on Custom Jerseys, But Not ‘Free Hong Kong’

In keeping with league policy on political statements, the official online store of the NBA does not permit fans to order a custom jersey with the phrase "Free Hong Kong" printed on the back.

"Free Hong Kong" is one of the many phrases banned under the NBA's new jersey policy, which allows players to display certain political messages such as "Black Lives Matter," but prohibits messages critical of the Chinese regime.

Typing "Free Hong Kong" into the text box on the NBA store's custom jersey page returns the following message: "We are unable to customize this item with the text you have entered. Please try a different entry."

Here are some of the phrases that don't receive such a warning:

  • F—K HONG KONG
  • DEFUND POLICE
  • ABOLISH COPS
  • BEWARE OF JEWS
  • SNEAKY JEWS
  • BAN GYPSIES
  • XI FOR LIFE
