Biden: Voters ‘Don’t Deserve’ To Know Whether I’ll Pack The Court

Joe Biden said voters “don’t deserve” to know whether he will pack the Supreme Court if he and vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris are elected in just a few weeks.

“Sir, I’ve got to ask you about packing the courts,” said 13 Action News Anchor Ross DiMattei during a campaign stop in Las Vegas. “I know that you said yesterday that you aren’t going to answer the question until after the election, but this is the number one thing I’ve been asked about from viewers in the past couple of days.”

“Well, you’ve been asked by the viewers who are probably Republicans who don’t want me continuing to talk about what they’re doing to the court right now,” Biden deflected, mirroring the media’s “Republicans pounce” tactic to make the conversation about the GOP instead of his refusal to answer the legitimate question.

“Well, sir, don’t the voters deserve to know where you stand…” DiMattei asked before Biden cut him off.

“No, they don’t deserve — I’m not going to play his game,” Biden said.

These comments from Biden follow the former vice president’s recent refusals to say whether he would increase the number of justices on the Supreme Court to add additional leftist activist justices.

Just one day before, during a campaign stop in Phoenix on Thursday, Biden told reporters voters would have to elect him to the presidency before he would announce his plans regarding court-packing.

The Second Act Will Be Worse Than the First: Lockdowns Are Not the Answer

In the first presidential “debate” (I use that word creatively), Joe Biden hinted that he would order a national lockdown in order to “defeat” the covid-19 virus, and there certainly seems to be a consensus in the media and among political elites that if there is another “outbreak” of covid, then the “shelter in place” order will be the law of the land.

Many businesses certainly are making plans for such an order, this time not wanting to be caught unprepared as they were last March:

Grocery stores and food companies are preparing for a possible surge in sales amid a new rise in Covid-19 cases and the impending holiday rush.

Supermarkets are stockpiling groceries and storing them early to prepare for the fall and winter months, when some health experts warn the country could see another widespread outbreak of virus cases and new restrictions. Food companies are accelerating production of their most popular items, and leaders across the industry are saying they won't be caught unprepared in the face of another pandemic surge.

One hardly can blame business owners and managers for wanting to be ahead of the curve, as progressive governments at all levels have been merciless to businesses and employees, driving thousands of firms into bankruptcy and leaving millions of people unemployed. Furthermore, given the overt hostility that progressives have toward private enterprise in the first place, politicians will take shortages and empty shelves as “proof” that private enterprise is in league with the devil to subvert the social order and act accordingly to punish these miscreants.

With Biden well ahead in the presidential polls and with it becoming increasingly likely that he will win the election next month, people should take seriously his calls for another series of lockdowns next winter should the coronavirus spread (in his words). There obviously is much to dissect in those few words, but the simple approach should be as follows: there is no evidence that would necessitate such a drastic move and another lockdown would create even more devastation than has...

BREAKING: One Shot and Killed at Dueling Black Lives Matter and Pro-Police Protests in Denver

An unidentified suspect shot and killed another person at dueling rallies with Black Lives Matter and pro-police protesters in Denver on Saturday. As of Saturday night, the Denver police had two suspects in custody.

“A man participating in what was billed as a ‘Patriot Rally’ that also included a presence of self-described BLM-Antifa protesters, sprayed mace at another man and that man shot him with a handgun,” The Denver Post reported. “Ambulances responded to the scene.”

Police reported that two suspects are in custody and officers are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

“Further investigation has determined the suspect is a private security guard with no affiliation with Antifa. Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” the police added.

“There was a verbal altercation that transpired. A firearm was discharged,” Joe Montoya, chief of investigations at Denver Police, said in a video statement. “An individual was shot and later pronounced deceased. There were two guns recovered at the scene.”

Twitter user Rusty 5D captured footage of the shooting. In the video, the apparent victim argues with a man in a “Black Guns Matter” t-shirt.

Many have reported that an antifa protester shot a pro-police protester. The police have insisted that the political affiliations of both the shooter and the victim remain unknown.

Black Lives Matter and antifa organized a “Black Lives Matter Anti-Fascist Soup Drive” on Facebook. The event involved groups such as the Denver Communists, Colorado Socialist Revolution, Anon Resistance Movement, W.I.T.C.H. Denver, H.O.E.S. (Help on Every Street), and Front Range Mutual Aid Network, Fox News reported.

Pro-police groups organized a “Patriot Muster” on the other side of the protests.

“We scheduled our action after learning that the militia-fascists had called a ‘patriot muster’ against the Black Lives Matter movement, anti-fascists and Marxists,” a representative for Denver Communists told the local outlet Westword. “That’s us — guilty as charged and happy to oblige with our presence.”

The NeverTrump movement among putatively faithful Christians is running on fumes. All the legitimate doubts we (I included) once had about President Trump’s pro-life intentions, or respect for the limits of his office? They’ve proven groundless.

There is now no honest reason for any Christian or conservative to say it would be better if Joe Biden won. Much less that he carried behind him a string of newly minted far-left U.S. senators. That would happen, of course. And then they would pack the courts, add frivolous new states like Washington, D.C. to gain more senators, and abolish the filibuster so their party could rule essentially by decree.

There is nothing Donald Trump has ever done to make us deserve that. Nor Richard Nixon. Indeed, no Republican president has ever been so bad that he would have deserved replacement by Biden. Few Democrats have been bad enough, in fact. Maybe Woodrow Wilson. To find a major American politician whose views or character were bad enough to look even worse than Biden, you’d really have to reach back to the Confederacy.

And not even to the mixed-bag Jefferson Davis. You’d need to fasten on Confederate Vice President Alexander Stevens. He cited proto-Darwinist pseudo-science and twisted Bible verses to claim that black people are inherently inferior, and must be forever slaves. That’s somebody I might vote for Biden to stop. Though to be honest, I’d probably just write in Kanye West.

The only Republicans who still want to see Biden win at this point are those who value their control over the GOP more highly than they do America’s best interests. Or the lives of unborn children. Or the safety of Christians. People who saw the GOP, and the U.S. in fact, as means to an end— especially the prosecution of pointless, aggressive wars in the Middle East that leave Christians persecuted.
