A violent criminal from Libya, who has long since been banned from being in Hamburg and known to the police, murdered a schoolgirl Viktoria L., known as Vika, on Sunday in the bicycle cellar of an apartment building on Rahel-Varnhagen-Weg in Hamburg.

The 26-year-old Libyan had notified the rescue workers of the fire brigade and led the paramedics to “an injured person” after they had arrived in the basement. The result then confirmed the initial suspicion of a killing: the 20-year-old student was apparently suffocated. The arrested black man, who had already appeared in the past “for drug and theft offenses”, appeared before a judge who ordered him to be held in custody on suspicion of manslaughter.
The young woman had filed a stalking report against unknown persons with the police in December. The 26-year-old Sharif A., who, according to German tabloid Bild, came to Hamburg in 2016 as a “refugee” and was then “redistributed” to Plauen in the Voltland district, had permanently “stalked” the student.
