Disgraced Daszak Defended Fauci-Funded Gain-Of-Function Coronavirus Manipulation With ‘Pandemic Potential’.

The now disgraced COVID origin investigator Peter Daszak – whose “EcoHealth Alliance” funneled U.S. taxpayer cash to the Wuhan Institute of Virology – defended SARS gain-of-function experiments that potentially rendered the virus “capable of directly infecting humans” in a Nature article unearthed from November 2015. The National Pulse is publishing this information for the first time, shortly after Daszak was recused from the COVID-19 origin commission convened by the Lancet medical journal.

Quoted in an article entitled Engineered Bat Virus Stirs Debate Over Risky Research, Daszak defended the publication of the study in question: A SARS-like Cluster Of Circulating Bat Coronaviruses Shows Potential For Human Emergence.

“Lab-made coronavirus related to SARS can infect human cells,” Nature summarized, which counted funding from Mr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) and included collaboration with two researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The article recounts how the experiment “triggered renewed debate over whether engineering lab variants of viruses with possible pandemic potential is worth the risks.”
Gain of Function.

While noting how a virus from horseshoe bats in China was manipulated to “infect human airway cells” and “mimic human disease,” Nature posits that the study qualified as gain-of-function research.

“The argument is essentially a rerun of the debate over whether to allow lab research that increases the virulence, ease of spread or host range of dangerous pathogens — what is known as ‘gain-of-function’ research,” the article explains.

“The latest study was already under way before the US moratorium [on gain-of-function] began, and the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) allowed it to proceed while it was under review by the agency, says Ralph Baric, an infectious-disease researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a co-author of the study.”

Nature’s admission that the Fauci-funded study qualified as gain-of-function research is at odds with the NIAID Director’s comments from a recent exchange with Senator Rand Paul.

“For years, Dr. Ralph Baric, a virologist in the U.S., has been collaborating with Dr. Shi Zhengli of the Wuhan Virology Institute, sharing his discoveries about how to create super viruses. This gain-of-function research has been funded by the NIH,” Senator Paul outlined before Fauci claimed the theory was “entirely and completely incorrect.”

Authored by Fauci-funded researcher Dr. Ralph Baric, the gain-of-function study lists two additional Wuhan Institute of Virology researchers, including...

Bill Barr: Public Schools Are Becoming Unconstitutional ‘Secular-Progressive Madrassas’

'It may no longer be fair, practical, or even constitutional to provide publicly-funded education solely through the vehicle of state-operated schools,' the two-time U.S. attorney general contends.

“The greatest threat to religious liberty in America today,” said former U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr in a recent speech, is “the increasingly militant and extreme secular-progressive climate of our state-run education system.”

Barr, whose high-profile career has demonstrated a deep commitment to the U.S. Constitution as written and intended, spoke to the religious liberty legal defense organization Alliance Defending Freedom. The legal lion put together a strong argument that a half-century of Supreme Court decisions combined with the left’s long march through American institutions have pushed U.S. public schools so far from religious neutrality that many now comprise a government-established preference for the atheist religion. Government preferences for some religious views over others are unconstitutional under the First Amendment.

“The heavy-handed enforcement of secular-progressive orthodoxy through government-run schools is totally incompatible with traditional Christianity and other major religious traditions in our country. In light of this development, we must confront the reality that it may no longer be fair, practical, or even constitutional to provide publicly-funded education solely through the vehicle of state-operated schools,” he said.

Government Schools the No. 1 Anti-Religious Force

While many American adults believe U.S. public schools keep religion out of the classroom, that era ended with their childhoods, Barr says. Too many Americans are dangerously unaware that today’s public schools forcefully instruct children in specific religious and political beliefs that openly undermine Christianity and, therefore, the private self-government necessary to preserve the United States’ foundational natural rights regime.

The evidence for this is strong, both in data and personal testimony. “[Ex]pansions in government service provision and especially increasingly secularized government control of education… can account for virtually the entire increase in...

IRS Denies Tax Exempt Status for Christian Group, Claiming Bible is too Similar to Republican Beliefs

The IRS Is Once Again Weaponized By The Left As A Political Cudgel Against The Right.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is facing backlash for its recent decision against a Christian nonprofit organization, denying it tax-exempt status because it considers the Bible to be too closely linked to the Republican Party, Breitbart reports.

The group in question, Christians Engaged, describes its primary purpose as being “to awaken, motivate, and empower ordinary believers in Jesus Christ.” The organization encourages its followers to “pray for our nation and our elected officials regularly, vote in every election to impact our culture, and engage our hearts in some forms of political education or activism for the furtherance of our nation.”

Christians Engaged first applied to become a 501(c)(3) in 2019, but was rejected last month. The rejection letter from the IRS was signed by Exempt Organizations Director Stephen Martin, who explained his reasoning as the following: “Specifically, you [Christians Engaged] educate Christians on what the Bible says in areas where they can be instrumental…The Bible teachings are typically affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates. This disqualifies you from exemption under IRC Section 501(c)(3).”

The nonprofit is being represented in their appeal to the IRS by the First Liberty Institute, which sent an appeal to the IRS on June 16th. The appeal declares that “from its religious perspective, Christians Engaged provides nonpartisan religious and civic education, focusing on encouraging and educating Christians to be civically engaged as a part of their...
