Tlaib and Omar called out by imam for not condemning Palestinian rocket barrage on Israel

Shia Muslim Imam Mohamad Tawhidi criticized Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib for refusing to condemn Palestinian terror groups for the onslaught of more than 700 rockets fired into Israel this weekend that killed at least four Israelis and wounded dozens.

The Iranian-born Tawhidi, known as the “Imam of Peace,” is President of the Islamic Association of South Australia. “Remember that time [Omar] and [Tlaib] condemned Hamas’ terrorism?” Tawhidi tweeted. “Neither do I.”
Omar and Tlaib became the first U.S. Muslim congresswomen after the 2018 elections, and both have invited a great deal of controversy with vile comments regarding Jews and Israel.

Tawhidi has targeted the two several times who he has called “absolute frauds and Islamists,” according to The Jerusalem Post, and who “promote hatred against the Jewish people.”

“Ilhan does not believe that the Jewish people or the Jewish nation has the right to exist,” he said. “Shame on her and shame on those who voted for her and are staying silent. We must do everything that we can to promote peace, and make sure that the American government does not allow these people a platform.”

Instead of condemnation for the Hamas and Islamic Jihad groups who are responsible for the rocket fire from Gaza, Tlaib actually chose to instead slam the New York Times for their coverage of the airstrikes.
