California Legalized Theft. Everyone’s Packages Were Stolen.
Porch piracy is what happens when stealing isn’t against the law.
California legalized theft with Proposition 47. Since then pharmacies and small businesses have been forced to shut down by a wave of shoplifters with nothing to fear from the law.
But it’s not just stores that are reeling from the crime wave unleashed by criminal justice reform.
Proposition 47 was passed in 2014. LAPD crime data shows that package thefts shot up from 500 to 700 between 2014 to 2015. By 2016, they rose to 1,000, and 1,200 in 2017.
In Sawtelle, home to Little Tokyo and a historic Japanese neighborhood, package theft went from practically zero to a record high in only a few years after Democrats legalized stealing.
Legalizing theft didn’t just hit stores, but led to an epidemic of ‘porch piracy’.
In Los Angeles, brazen criminals took to driving behind delivery trucks and stealing the packages as soon as they were delivered. Others dressed up in Amazon uniforms.
But nowhere was the problem as bad as in the pro-crime metropolis of San Francisco.
Porch piracy has been growing across America alongside the Black Lives Matter riots and the election of Democrat mayors, council members, and prosecutors who support criminals.
In 2018, less than a third of people responding to a survey said that they had been ripped off, but by 2020, the number had shot up all the way to 43%. One survey estimated that porch pirates had been responsible for over $5 billion in thefts in cities across the country.
But San Francisco has topped the nation in package thefts for two years straight.
It’s no coincidence that California, which has led the way in legalizing crime, accounts for...
Toyota Vows to Stop Donating to Republicans Who Questioned 2020 Election Results After Pressure From Sexual Predator Tainted Group...
Automobile manufacturer Toyota released a statement declaring that it would no longer donate to the campaigns of any Republican members of Congress who objected to the controversial results of the 2020 election, as reported by USA Today.
Edward Lewis, a spokesman for Toyota Motor Corp, gave a statement via email to The Detroit News claiming that “Toyota is committed to supporting and promoting actions that further our democracy,” without expanding on what exactly is meant by the word “democracy.” He then goes on to say that “our company has long-standing relationships with Members of Congress across the political spectrum, especially those representing our U.S. operations.”
Admitting to the financial concerns behind their decision, Lewis said that “[our] PAC decision to support select Members of Congress who contested the [2020 election] results troubled some stakeholders. We are actively listening to our stakeholders and, at this time, we have decided to stop contributing to those members of Congress who contested the certification of certain states in the 2020 election.”
The decision reflects a stark reversal for Toyota, which reaffirmed as recently as April that it would continue donating to certain members of Congress regardless of how they voted in the electoral certification process. Over 140 Republicans in Congress, across both houses, voted against certifying at least some of the electoral college results, pointing to widespread and credible accusations of voter fraud in the key swing states, which may have been enough to swing the election away from President Donald Trump and in favor of Democrat Joe Biden.
As a result, Toyota came under fire by several radical groups, including the Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), and the far-left Lincoln Project. CREW issued a statement saying that certain companies “have had to choose whether to do their part to uphold our democracy by turning off the flow of corporate donations to these members…or to continue to support them in order to seek political influence.”
In one ad released by the Lincoln Project against Toyota, the group – which has been struggling with numerous scandals, including the revelation that one of its founding members, John Weaver, was secretly a serial sexual predator – claimed without evidence that “Toyota vehicles feature…more White nationalism than you might’ve expected.” After Toyota backed down, the Lincoln Project said on Twitter that it hoped...
Corporate America Is China’s Newest Weapon
This won’t come as a surprise to anyone: China’s ultimate strategic goal is becoming the world’s preeminent superpower – economically, militarily, diplomatically and technologically. It’s also no secret that the Chinese government actively works to shape our public opinion. This is just one part of their larger strategy to undermine U.S. national and economic security. But this might surprise you: American companies are deeply entangled in this effort, wittingly and unwittingly.
That’s why my Republican colleagues on the House Intelligence Committee and myself launched an investigation into the extent of China’s malign influence activities against corporate America. The aim of our investigation is to raise public awareness of China’s grip on American corporations, and, more importantly, answer some critical questions.
How are U.S. companies vulnerable to Chinese theft? How does China influence U.S. businesses and to what end? What role does China play in our supply chain and what vulnerabilities does this create? This investigation is ongoing, but one answer is already clear: China is using corporate America to influence our government and public opinion. The preliminary findings confirm many of our fears.
U.S. businesses are being manipulated into sharing key technologies with China. This allows Beijing access to sensitive intellectual property, which benefits China-based firms at the expense of our own industry. This effort is only accelerated by the fact that CCP members serve as board members and senior executives in many U.S. firms. These individuals are in a unique position to advance China’s initiatives in acquiring technology and penetrating U.S. markets.
China is also exploiting U.S. financial services. The CCP is using American investment managers and banks to gain opportunities for strategic investments in U.S. startups, innovative technologies, biosciences, and manufacturing. Tapping into our market not only raises their funds but increases their international credibility. This is largely done through “passive” investments in our big banks, which allows China to hide some of its activities on U.S. markets from our government.
The CCP’s grip on U.S. business gives them political leverage on our own soil, too. China is influencing American industry and financial leaders to pressure local, state, and federal executives and legislators to take actions that benefit Beijing. If their demands aren’t met, they threaten to cancel contracts with U.S. firms and withdraw their access to...
Viral video showing young boy pulling up an American flag from a lawn and throwing it the ground as woman with him looks on and does nothing sparks outrage
- The clip of the unnamed child was posted online by Ricky Lee on July 8
- It showed a little boy on a scooter stopping to rip up the American flag
- He pulled it from the lawn then threw it on the ground and scooted away
- A woman, believed to be his mother, looked on and did nothing
- Lee captioned the footage: 'The Brainwashing of America is almost complete'
- The clip was then tweeted by journalist Marie Oakes and went viral
- It was unclear where it was filmed: some questioned the authenticity of the clip
The footage, from an unknown location, was first posted online on July 8 by Ricky Lee, who shares pro-Trump memes with his 5,000 followers.
It shows a little boy on his scooter passing an American flag flying in a lawn. He stops, goes back, then pulls up the flag and throws it onto the sidewalk. A woman on a bicycle, possibly his mother, stops and looks on, then the pair ride off.
It was then picked up by journalist Marie Oakes, senior editor of Canadian and U.S. news site Westphalian Times.
'Children are being raised to desecrate the flag,' she wrote.

She was unable to identify the child, but the footage went viral and sparked a strong response.
'If my kid did that he would be apologizing and then mowing that family’s grass the rest of the year,' said one woman.
One man remarked: 'This is sad. We would never have thought to do that as kids in the 60s. It was certainly a different time.'
Another said: 'Honest question: How can a country succeed if their citizens are being raised to hate it?'
One woman, with the Twitter handle 'Freedom is Beautiful', said the child needed to be taught a lesson.
'If caught and found guilty of trespassing, vandalism etc, the punishment should be going to a cemetery and planting flags on the graves of veterans and hopefully understand that the flag represents the vet's sacrifices, giving her the freedom to ride her bike down the street.'
Another woman added: 'They are also being raised to destroy the property of others. This kid needs some good parenting.'
Some, however, questioned the authenticity of the clip, and the strange angle of the security camera footage.
'Totally a not staged video,' said Zeke Gonzalez.
He added: 'I'm 100% convinced it was staged.'
