BLM Aftermath: Firefighters in Portland Will Now Be Equipped with Bulletproof Vests as Violent Crime Surges
In a city aflame with crime, firefighters will get new protection against being singed with the violence Democrats have been unable to control.
Firefighters in Portland, Oregon, will soon have the option of wearing bulletproof vests when responding to calls, according to Oregon Live.
The decision reflects a “changing landscape” in which firefighters often brave a gauntlet of hostility when they respond to a call, Portland Fire & Rescue spokesman Terry Foster said.
“First responders, as they go in, we can become targets,” said Alan Ferschweiler, president of the Portland Firefighters Association, according to KGW-TV.
The city will order 200 vests and is working out the rules governing when they are to be worn in addition to the heavy load of gear firefighters already wear, which includes their turnout gear, boots, a helmet, an air tank and other items.

Isaac McLennan, vice president of the Portland Fire Fighters’ Association, noted a 2018 case in which a man shot at first responders after allegedly setting a building on fire as a way to ambush them.
Since then, the city has changed for the worse.
Portland has suffered more than 870 shootings to date with 283 people injured and 46 others killed, Democrat Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said Sept. 15, according to KGW-TV.
Through all of 2020, there were 891 shootings with 57 homicides, which was the highest number of killings since 1994. Portland has had 62 homicides so far in...
Pompeo: ‘Kids All Across America Are Going to Die’ as Result of Biden Admin Failure to Secure Border
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo issued a stark warning on Sunday if the Biden administration fails to shore up the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Pompeo said Sunday on New York WABC 770 AM radio’s “The Cats Roundtable” that “kids across America are going to die as a result” of the Biden administration’s failure to secure the border.
“This issue of securing America’s borders is real. Our administration took it seriously,” Pompeo told host John Catsimatidis. “We certainly worked to build out the wall, but we also made sure that we knew who was coming in and out of our country. This administration has essentially given up. They have adopted the posture of the progressive left, which is near open borders.”
“Huge amounts of drugs are seeping into our country. It’s going to kill Americans. This is a humanitarian crisis and a national security crisis,” he continued.
Pompeo added, “When you have these porous borders, these cartels figured out how to make money. They figured out how to get it not only how to get into Texas, California and Arizona, but all across our country and build out networks. Our local law enforcement, our sheriff’s offices are under enormous pressure because of these drugs. And you know, kids all across America are going to die as a result of the failure of...

US Air Force doctor warns pilots of ‘sudden cardiac death’ after jabs
The affidavit of Lieutenant Colonel Theresa Long is also part of a federal lawsuit against the US Army's forced vaccination regime.
A US Army aviation doctor, Lt. Col. Theresa Long, recently warned military pilots of the risk of injecting gene preparations against Covid-19. The senior flight surgeon with specialized training in infectious diseases, warned that side effects could cause pilots to die in mid-flight. She was trained by the Combat Readiness Center as an aviation safety officer.
The American Military News as well as The Washington Times reported that Long has filed an affidavit against the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for active-duty military personnel. In the affidavit, the physician underscored that pilots had a high risk of heart muscle inflammation or myocarditis, associated with “sudden cardiac death”.
Long has been responsible for certifying the fitness of at least 4 000 US Air Force pilots with the 1st Aviation Brigade in Alabama. Her declaration was submitted under the “Military Whistleblower Protection Act” as part of a pending federal lawsuit against the military’s “unethical” mandatory vaccination scheme.
According to Long, the Department of Defense has shunned its own protocols by not requiring an MRI scan of each airman after vaccination. “The majority of young new Army aviators are in their early twenties. We know there is a risk of myocarditis with each mRNA vaccination,” she said.
“Due to the ammunition that our flight crews carry with them, as well as the operational areas over inhabited areas, sudden cardiac death is an extraordinarily high risk for the crews themselves and for others,” Long told American Military News.
In May, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recognized the risk of heart infections such as myocarditis and pericarditis in connection with the two Covid “vaccines” from Pfizer and Moderna. The CDC website continues to warn against myocarditis and pericarditis as possible side effects of...
Professor suspended for refusing to give Black students easier final exams sues UCLA
A UCLA professor who was briefly suspended after declining a request that Black students get easier final exams after George Floyd’s death sued the school Wednesday, accusing it of defamation and loss of financial opportunities.
Gordon Klein, a lecturer at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management who has taught there for decades, filed the lawsuit in state court against the school’s dean, Antonio Bernardo, the University of California Board of Regents, and a host of unnamed “co-conspirators.”
“I did this because the school has continued to retaliate against me, and other scholars are facing retaliation, and I thought it was important for someone to step up and say, ‘enough,’” Mr. Klein told The Washington Times. “I have the legal skills and training to do so, so I’m stepping up.”
Mr. Bernardo and the others effectively organized a smear campaign against Mr. Klein after he turned down a “non-Black” student’s request that Black students in his class be given “no harm” final exams because of emotional turmoil Floyd’s death may have caused, the lawsuit alleges.
Through a spokeswoman, Mr. Bernardo declined to comment on the suit.
UCLA said it “has general procedures and principles that uphold freedom of expression and freedom of intellectual inquiry while also facilitating a learning, working, and living environment that is free from discrimination, harassment or retaliation.”
Following Floyd’s killing by a Minneapolis policeman in May 2020, an organized campaign began at UCLA known as “Letter Writing for Finals Accomodations for Black Students,” in which professors were urged to offer what amounted to preferential treatment to...
