Sweden, Denmark Suspend Use of Moderna Vaccine for Young People Following Heart Inflammation Cases
Both Sweden and Denmark are suspending the use of Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine among young people, with Denmark restricting its use for those under the age of 18 and Sweden ceasing to recommend it for individuals born after the year 1991.
Sweden’s health agency had revealed Wednesday that it had been observing an increase in incidence of Myocarditis, or heart inflammation, among youth who had been vaccinated with the Moderna shot.
“The connection is especially clear when it comes to Moderna’s vaccine Spikevax, especially after the second dose,” said Sweden’s health agency of vaccine-induced myocarditis.
The Scandinavian nations are both recommending that young people, especially men, under the age of 30 receive Pfizer’s Comirnaty coronavirus vaccine instead. The Moderna vaccine is the third most popular in Europe, eclipsed by Pfizer and the AstraZeneca vaccine. Finland is expected to make a decision on a potential freeze on the Moderna vaccine for young people on Thursday, potentially becoming the third nation to pause its use for youth.
European health agencies have shown more willingness to scrutinize and investigate side effects of coronavirus vaccines, with Slovenia suspending use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine following the death of a 20-year old woman from jab complications.
Young people are extremely unlikely to incur a serious case of covid, with their immune system’s natural response strong enough to stave off the disease. Studies have indicated that they’re more likely to be sent to the hospital by vaccine complications than by the actual virus, but western governments merely go on demanding...
Republican Lawmakers Demolish Democrats’ ‘Big Lie’ That Arizona Audit Proved Biden Won the Election
Ever since the final report of the Arizona audit was released last month, Democrats and their allies in the corporate media have pushed a false narrative alleging that the results of the Maricopa County recount proved that Joe Biden won because he received more votes than former President Donald Trump.
During a House Oversight and Reform Committee held a hearing examining the Arizona’s election audit on Thursday, Republicans on the committee decisively shot down that persistent lie.
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) demolished the false narrative during an exchange with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.).
Raskin demanded to know if Biggs accepted the results of the audit, claiming that “it showed that Joe Biden won, and indeed with more votes than—”
“That is not what the audit concluded Mr. Raskin, you know better than that,” Biggs interjected. “Have you read the whole audit, or [did you just] cherry-pick the line which talks about the recount versus the tabulation machine? That, we would have expected to be very similar, and it was,” he explained.
In an attempt to pigeonhole Biggs as 2020 election conspiracy theorist, Raskin again asked if he believed Joe Biden won the election in Arizona.
“We don’t know!” Biggs exclaimed in response. “Because as the audit demonstrates very clearly Mr. Raskin, there are a lot of issues with this election that took place.
In an attempt to smear Trump supporters as Nazis, Democrats and their media allies have repeatedly characterized allegations of fraud in the 2020 election as “the Big Lie,” in reference to a German expression that was coined by Adolf Hitler to describe the use of a lie so colossal, no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.”
The Arizona Republican threw the term back in the Democrats’ faces. “Speaking of ‘the Big Lie,’ you can continue to perpetuate it as long as you want!” he said.
Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.) explained why it was nonsensical to claim that the results of the recount confirmed that Biden won.
“We can take $100 in $1 bills and count it as many times as we want, the count will remain the same: 100,” Clyde said. “But if many of those bills are counterfeit you may have 100 pieces of paper in your pocket, but you sure don’t have $100 dollars in legal tender. That’s the real issue hear today, it’s not just the count, it’s the counting of...
Durham Investigates Pentagon Contractors Who Helped Clinton Campaign Plot Russia Hoax
Prosecutors are investigating whether cybersecurity contractors abused security clearances to feed the FBI false information linking Donald Trump to Russia.
Cybersecurity experts who held lucrative Pentagon and homeland security contracts and high-level security clearances are under investigation for potentially abusing their government privileges to aid a 2016 Clinton campaign plot to falsely link Donald Trump to Russia and trigger an FBI investigation of him and his campaign, according to several sources familiar with the work of Special Counsel John Durham.
Durham is investigating whether they were involved in a scheme to misuse sensitive, nonpublic internet data, which they had access to through their government contracts, to dredge up derogatory information on Trump on behalf of the Clinton campaign in 2016 and again in 2017, sources say — political dirt that sent FBI investigators on a wild goose chase. Prosecutors are also investigating whether some of the data presented to the FBI was faked or forged.
These sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive law enforcement matter, said Durham’s investigators have subpoenaed the contractors to turn over documents and testify before a federal grand jury hearing the case. The investigators are exploring potential criminal charges including giving false information to federal agents and defrauding the government, the sources said.
The campaign plot was outlined by Durham last month in a 27-page indictment charging former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann with making a false report to the FBI. The document cites eight individuals who allegedly conspired with Sussmann, but does not identify them by name.
The sources familiar with the probe have confirmed that the leader of the team of contractors was Rodney L. Joffe, who has regularly advised the Biden White House on cybersecurity and infrastructure policies. Until last month he was the chief cybersecurity officer at Washington tech contractor Neustar Inc., which federal civil court records show was a longtime client of Sussmann at Perkins Coie, a prominent Democratic law firm recently subpoenaed by Durham. Joffe, 66, has not been charged with a crime.
Neustar has removed Joffe’s blog posts from its website. “He no longer works for...
Global Food Prices Increased in September, Reached Decade High
Global food prices have reached a decade high and increased for the second month in a row in September, according to a Thursday report from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The FAO Food Price Index (FFPI), which measures the monthly change in international prices of a basket of food commodities, averaged 130.0 points in September 2021 — that rate is 32.1 points higher than the same month last year and up 1.5 points from August. The FFPI has not reached these levels since 2011 when it hit 131.9.
The increase was largely spurred by “tightening supply conditions and robust demand for staples such as wheat and palm oil,” the FAO reported.
Vegetable oil prices have skyrocketed, brought on by robust global demand combined with “persisting migrant labor shortages” in Malaysia. The overall FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index averaged 168.6 points in September, which is about 60 percent above its year-earlier level and is up 2.9 points (or 1.7 percent) from August.
The FAO Cereal Price Index averaged 132.5 points in September, up 2.6 points (2.0 percent) from August and 28.5 points (27.3 percent) above its level from the same month last year.
“Among the major cereals, world wheat prices increased the most in September, up almost 4 percent month-on-month and as much as 41 percent year-on-year,” according to the report, which blamed tightening export availabilities and high demand on...
Huge explosion rips through Siberian gas processing center & sparks blaze on key export route to China amid growing fuel shortages
A fire has broken out at a Siberian gas refinery, sending emergency services scrambling to fight the blaze and potentially damaging energy processing equipment, as Russia steps up its output to meet a growing demand from China.
On Friday, a colossal blast tore through the facility in the Amur region, a key waypoint on the ‘Power of Siberia’ pipeline, which supplies both the Russian Far East, as well as China.
Beijing has requested emergency support from Moscow in recent days as it struggles to tackle an energy crisis, with several regions having faced blackouts and dwindling reserves of coal, which powers more than half of its national grid. Authorities say that the blaze started after plant equipment decompressed, and has since been brought under control.
Nobody has been injured. Dramatic footage from the scene shows fires burning on the exterior of the plant, casting a plume of smoke into the sky...
