Britt Hume Drops a Truth Bomb on Dems Dropping Mask Mandates: ‘It’s Not the Science That’s Changed, It’s the Politics’

During a segment on his show last night Tucker Carlson asked Britt Hume if he thought it odd that so many Democrat leaders have changed or modified their state’s mask mandated seemingly all at once.

“Yeah, it’s not the science that has changed, it’s the politics, and the political winds are killing them so strongly that I think the democratic politicians can see that what has happened, they want out from under these mask mandates. Parents are up in arms about them and understandably so,” Hume said.

“Coupled with this whole issue has been that the science that backs up masks for everybody has never been very strong. Only a couple of studies, and they were basically inconclusive at best.”

“But there really is no science at all of any legitimacy that says that it is a good idea and necessary for children, who are the least vulnerable population in the country, to wear masks,” Hume added. “And yet it has gone on all this time. There was a refusal to recognize the harms being done to children. We kept hearing planned assurances that kids are adaptable and adjustable and everything is going to be fine, and now of course, people are saying it is not working out that way, that there are serious problems, so the mask mandates are now on the way out.”

Tucker Carlson then laid the blame for the damage done to our society from mandates and lockdowns where it belongs, with Democrats, and asked Hume if he thought changing course will save the Dems in November.

“I don’t see how,” Hume replied. “The problem of course is what happened, what the Democrats did is they decided that the only experts and the only expert advice that matters was that coming from the epidemiologists. The epidemiologists basically have one job: to fight the disease. But the side effects, the collateral damage, that is not their responsibility.”

“Epidemiologists aren’t responsible for the U.S. economy, children’s education, children’s mental health, not responsible for cancer screenings that got missed because people could not go out and all the rest of it. Mistake that was made was making them the only advice that was really listened to for a long time time, and there is a poll out now about whether to move on or not. The Capitol Police have been fully weaponized against Republicans

If you visited D.C. in the days before COVID and January 6 madness, and wandered around (or got permission to go into) the Capitol, you saw Capitol Police officers on duty. They were doing pretty much what all police officers do, which is to stand guard at vulnerable spots, making sure no one did anything naughty (e.g., graffiti) or downright dangerous (e.g., gun or knife attacks). However, beginning with January 6, 2021, it became apparent that Nancy Pelosi's Capitol Police officers have a different mandate: defend the Democrat party hold on power.

On January 6, the Capitol Police failed to protect the Capitol. We know this because Capitol Police chief Steven Sund, after being fired on January 7, 2021, explained that he had requested backup from the National Guard, which never arrived, and that his people just weren't ready. Trump stated that he had requested that 10,000 National Guard troops be deployed to the Capitol before January 6 to provide protection for his rally. According to him, congressional leaders said no. What really happened remains a mystery despite the "investigation" by the January 6 Committee. You'd think they would have figured that one out.

Also bizarrely, on January 6, someone (the Capitol Police?) opened from the inside the Capitol's 20,000-pound doors, which are secured by powerful magnetic locks. We then saw footage of the same Capitol Police graciously welcoming people inside, which led many innocents to believe they had the perfect right to be inside the People's House.

For those of us (like me), who think January 6 was an entrapment scheme, it would appear that the Capitol Police were part of the plan.

And if you're inclined to distrust the Capitol Police, you're not going to like hearing what happened last November to Congressman Troy Nehls, a Republican from Texas who has locked horns with Nancy Pelosi.
