Michigan elections official charged with ballot tampering

An elections official and former township clerk in Michigan has been charged with ballot tampering and misconduct in office relating to the August 2020 primary.

The Michigan Attorney General's Office says that Kathy Funk, who had been working as the Flint Township clerk, "purposely broke a seal" on a ballot container, according to a press release on Friday. Funk allegedly broke the seal so that, under Section 168. 871 of Michigan election laws, the ballots inside could not be counted in a recount.

"Election officials must uphold the integrity of their positions," Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a statement posted to Twitter.

Funk, as the township clerk, was responsible for overseeing the August 2020 election and was seeking another term as clerk, according to Michigan Live. Funk went on to receive 2,698 votes over her opponent Manya Triplett, who received 2,619, according to official Michigan election results.

Triplett said that she had asked that a recount take place after noticing some suspicious activity at the township's election hall, according to Michigan Live.

Nessel said, "Those who abuse that commitment undermine the very foundation of our democracy," adding that her department is "committed to prosecuting election violations, regardless of the political" affiliation.

Under Section 168.871 of Michigan law, "the board of canvassers conducting a recount" is to recount "all ballots of a precinct using an electronic voting system" unless one or more possible circumstances arise, according to the Michigan Legislature's website.

Certain possible circumstances that would lead to ballots not being recounted include "the seal on the transfer case or other ballot container" being broken or having a different number than recorded in the poll record book, the amount of ballots needing recounting and the amount issued on election day not...

Clinton-Backed Haiti Pastor Indicted on Child Sex Charges. Corrigan Clay and Shelly Jean received visits from Bill Clinton, as well as support from the Clinton Foundation.

Corrigan Clay – a U.S. pastor who moved to Haiti and adopted two orphans – has been arrested on child sex abuse charges against one of his children. Corrigan is the co-founder of the “Apparent Project”, a non-profit charity organization established by his ex-partner Shelley Jean. The group has been visited and supported by former U.S. President Bill Clinton, who is also believed to have helped fund another of the pair’s entities, Papillion Enterprise, through Clinton Foundation grants.

In January 2021, child welfare authorities in Florida alleged that 43-year-old James Corrigan Clay, pastor, and philanthropist, had “abused” and “sexually assaulted” one of his underage children whom he had raised with ex-partner Shelley Jean. Clay was arrested March 10th this year by federal agents, according to an unsealed indictment first released on Thursday by The Daily Beast.

Both families of Shelley Jean and Corrigan Clay have declined to take any public stance regarding the sexual assault of one of their co-parented children. This has included Shelly Jean herself who, in 2021, was said to have hidden behind justice system instructions, avoiding any indication to whether she was aware of such ongoings between Clay and their underage adopted children prior to his arrest. Despite declining to make a direct statement on the sexual assault charges, Jean assured that the children have only lived with her since her learning of the incidents, according to the Haiti-based Ayibo Post.

Prior to this, Clay, Jean, and CEO Marilyn Monaghan founded Apparent Project, designed to “establish childcare for working parents, quality early education, and job skills that provide opportunities for the poor in Haiti.” As with Papillion Enterprise, the Apparent Project has been visited and supported by former president Bill Clinton, alongside various other celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Kim Kardashian, displayed in a now-deleted blog post from Clay in 2012:

“Donna Karan, The Gap, Macy’s, Chan Luu, and Disney have marketed our jewelry, and our celebrity clients have included Bill Clinton, Oprah, Rainn Wilson, Olivia Wilde, Maria Bello, Petra Nemcova, Ben Stiller, and Kim Kardashian.”

Clay’s now-deleted post also included a letter, dated 2016, from a deprived seventeen-year-old Haitian girl expressing her desire to “make love” with him in order to aid her sister with access to medical surgery. Though Clay had expressed in his blog post that he helped the teenage girl without the requirement of sexual deeds, he further admitted to lingering on her proposal due to personal loneliness.

The Clinton Foundation has long-boasted of its ties to Papillion and related groups over the past decade. It was announced in 2016 that Papillion had “grown from less than...

Pfizer CEO Calls for Another Booster Shot for all Americans

On Sunday, the chief executive officer of Pfizer said that Americans should be prepared to receive a second booster shot of the Coronavirus vaccine, which would mark the fourth overall shot that has been forced on the American public.

As reported by Politico, Albert Bourla made his remarks in an interview with CBS’ Margaret Brennan, where he said that his company was preparing to submit “a significant package of data about the need for a fourth dose” to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

“The protection that you are getting from the third [shot], it is good enough, actually quite good for hospitalizations and deaths,” Bourla said. “It’s not that good against infections, but doesn’t last very long. But we are just submitting those data to the FDA, and then we will see what the experts also will say outside Pfizer.”

The Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19, which requires two different shots, was first approved in late 2020. A third shot produced by the same company, known as a booster, was authorized by the FDA in September. However, there had been contradicting rhetoric from the Biden White House and the private sector; when Pfizer first recommended the original booster shot, the Biden Administration initially disagreed with the idea of a booster before reversing course and approving it.

“I think right now we need to be very well-coordinated — CDC, FDA and the industry — so that we are all providing to the American people and to the world a cohesive picture rather than confusion,” Bourla continued. But he emphasized his belief that the United States needs to “very diligently stay ahead of the virus,” even though the height of the pandemic appears to have passed.

Bourla also promised during the interview that if the second booster is approved, then “we can go back to, really, the way we used to live.”

The coronavirus has spiked twice under Biden’s watch: First in early- and mid-2021 due to the rise of the India Variant, also known as the Delta Variant. Then, just as Delta seemed to subside, a new variant known as the South Africa Variant, or the Omicron Variant, peaked in early 2022.

Despite the Biden Administration’s insistence of strict measures such as further lockdowns and vaccine requirements, such policies have become so widely unpopular that the vast majority of states have begun lifting nearly all restrictions. Biden’s attempt to force a vaccine mandate on...

Since It Is So Likely That Your Children Will Meet Cruel Enemies...

He was the wizard of a thousand kings
And I chanced to meet him one night wandering
He told me tales and he drank my wine
Me and my magic man kind of feeling fine

He had a cloak of gold
And eyes of fire
And as he spoke I felt a deep desire
To free the world of its fear and pain
And help the people to feel free again
