‘Trying To Silence Conservative Voices’: Hispanic Orgs Fight Back Against Soros Funded Latino Media Company
Hispanic organizations are mounting the fight against a $60 million cash deal funded by a finance firm associated with Billionaire investor George Soros and other prominent Democrats to purchase 18 radio stations from the Spanish language multimedia conglomerate, TelevisaUnivision.
Pending Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval, Stephanie Valencia, a former Obama administration staffer, and Jess Morales Rocketto will launch the Latino Media Network. The deal will mark the largest single acquisition of radio stations by a Latino-based company which Hispanics say is a move to attack their free speech. One of the 18 AM and FM channels that Latino Media Network will acquire in the deal is one of Miami, Florida’s top Cuban radio stations, Radio Mambí. Radio Mambí’s audience voiced their concerns over Soros funding the station’s purchase on host Ninoska Perez‘s Monday afternoon radio show, reported the Miami Herald.
“People who listen to this station must realize that this purchase is an attempt by the Democratic Party and President Biden to silence us,” one listener said, according to the outlet. “We must come up with a Plan B.”
Latino Partnership For Conservative Principles President Alfonso Aguilar told the Daily Caller his organization is working to fight against the “heavy-handed effort” by Democrats “to silence their opposition, Conservative voices.”
“Every time they talk about this effort to buy these stations, they particularly single out Radio Mambí, like it’s a victory,” said Aguilar. “It’s an institution in Southern Florida with a loyal audience of not only Cuban Americans but Venezuelans, Nicaraguans–people who fled socialist regimes.”
Latino Partnership For Conservative Principles will partner with other major Hispanic advocacy groups to help promote emerging Conservative outlets that can reach large segments of the Hispanic population with good quality content to combat the Democrats’ plan to...

New Study Concludes Lockdowns Caused AT LEAST 170,000+ Excess Deaths In U.S.
Research finds a 26 percent spike in non-Covid excess deaths among working age Americans in 2020 and 2021
Yet another study has concluded that restrictive lockdowns contributed to a massive spike in excess deaths, with a 26% jump in mortality rate for working-age adults in America.
The study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) found that there were conservatively 170,000+ non-Covid excess deaths in the U.S. through 2020 and 2021.
The study notes that the real number is likely closer to 200,000 because over 70,000 so called “unmeasured Covid deaths,” that is people who may have died only with the virus and not from it, were not taken into account.
The researchers wrote that “Summing our estimates across causes and age groups, we estimate 171,000 excess non-Covid deaths through the end of 2021 plus 72,000 unmeasured Covid deaths. The Economist has assembled national-level mortality data from around the world and obtains a similar U.S. estimate, which is 199,000 (including any unmeasured Covid) or about 60 persons per 100,000 population (Global Change Data Lab 2022).”
They added that “While Covid deaths overwhelmingly afflict senior citizens, absolute numbers of non-Covid excess deaths are similar for each of the 18-44, 45-64, and over-65 age groups, with essentially no aggregate excess deaths of children. Mortality from all causes during the pandemic was elevated 26 percent for working-age adults (18-64), as compared to 18 percent for the elderly.”
The level of excess deaths dovetails with findings from other studies across the globe that found everywhere that locked down experienced a similar spike in mortality rates.
The NBER researchers state that “For the European Union as a whole, the estimate is near-identical at 64 non-Covid excess deaths per 100K.”
They also point out that “In contrast, the estimate for Sweden is -33, meaning that non-Covid causes of death were somewhat low during the pandemic.”
“We suspect that some of the international differences are due to the standard used to designate a death as Covid, but perhaps also Sweden’s result is related to minimizing the disruption of its citizen’s normal lifestyles,” the researchers add.
In other words, Sweden did not lock down and also did not experience an increase in non-COVID mortality rates.
Figures released by the World Health Organization last month show that Sweden had fewer COVID deaths per capita than much of Europe despite refusing to enforce strict lockdowns and mask mandates like numerous other nearby countries.
“In 2020 and 2021, the country had an average excess death rate of 56 per 100,000 – compared to 109 in the UK, 111 in Spain, 116 in Germany and 133 in Italy,” reported the Telegraph.

Scholars spend $500K in taxpayer funds to deconstruct whiteness in physics
ANALYSIS: The unbearable whiteness of physics
Deconstructing whiteness in an introductory physics classroom may seem like a nonsensical goal, but according to a pair of critical whiteness scholars from Seattle Pacific University, this endeavor is actually an important step toward the larger undertaking of freeing students and professors alike from the weighty fetters of whiteness.
Funded through a $495,847 National Science Foundation grant, researchers Amy Robertson and W. Tali Hairston aim “to develop a knowledge base that could lead to awareness of how power relations may be embedded in the way physics is taught and learned.”
The two record introductory physics classes and interview participants, then analyze them using a critical whiteness theory lens “to show how privilege operates in undergraduate physics teaching and learning.”
In one study funded through the grant, Robertson and a colleague from SPU examined the demographic characteristics of students in introductory physics classes at six universities to see which groups were over- or underrepresented.
In another, Hairston and two of his colleagues recorded nearly two weeks of footage from introductory physics classes at three universities, then analyzed a single, seemingly uneventful episode in which a group of students completed a hands-on, in-class assignment dealing with mass and acceleration.
The scholars carefully evaluated the footage for instances of marginalization through displays of “certain characteristics that U.S. culture typically associates with white masculine behavior, including control, independence, and decisiveness.”
Yet, to date, the most notable study born from the Robertson and Hairston NSF-funded collaboration is “Observing whiteness in introductory physics: A case study,” recently published in the prominent physics education journal Physical Review Physics Education Research.
For this study, the two researchers viewed and analyzed six-and-a-half minutes of footage from an introductory physics course, then interviewed the key players involved.
According to Robertson and Hairston’s description of those six-and-a-half minutes, a biracial but culturally white female physics professor gave an assignment to a group of students comprised of a male student of Middle Eastern descent, a female Hispanic student, and a white female student.
That assignment was to draw an energy interaction diagram on a whiteboard within a limited amount of time. During that limited amount of time, the male student of Middle Eastern descent, referred to by the pseudonym Drake, took charge, proceeding to work on the assignment while the two female students, referred to by the pseudonyms Paris and Gail, attempted to make sense of some of the relevant instructions and concepts, making some contributions of their own along the way.
Nothing about the described interaction would seem that out of place in a physics class. No one ostensibly behaved in a disrespectful or offensive manner. No one was recorded using a slur or telling an off-color joke. Yet, as banal as the episode may have seemed, according to the trained-eyes of Robertson and Hairston, the episode was actually riddled with blinding whiteness from...
