One of the nation’s largest vertically integrated chicken producers will be shutting down one of its plants in Campbell County, Tennessee.

George’s Inc. announced it would be closing its Caryville food processing plant, WVLT-TV reported.

The move would jeopardize the livelihoods of around 200 of the company’s employees during a time of record-high inflation and soaring gas prices, according to the news station.

Campbell County Mayor E.L Morton told WLVT-TV that he was working to ensure the plant would remain open, so the closure would not hurt employees’ livelihoods.

“I have contacted the Tennessee Economic and Community Development staff to request assistance in keeping the plant open or facilitating a sale to another operator,” Morton said. “I have requested Governor Lee’s assistance as well.”

“My primary concern is for the welfare of the dedicated workers who have been the backbone of this operation. Our prayers go out to them, as well as our very best efforts to keep them employed in Campbell County,” Morton said.

George’s had purchased the plant from Oklahoma City-based Lopez Foods in 2017, according to TalkBusiness.

Before the sale, the plant had employed 285 employees. It produced fully-cooked pork, beef and turkey products that were then delivered to the retail, food service and convenience store sectors until George’s took over, according to TalkBusiness.

If you find yourself confused about the mixed guidance when it comes to Covid-19 vaccines and safety concerns, you’re not alone.

While the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is marketing widespread use of the emergency-use vaccines in the U.S. for both old and young alike, many other countries are limiting Covid-19 vaccine use. Health officials around the world are giving varying advice on safety issues as Covid-19 vaccines are given to more people, and more information can be collected.

Activists call for sex strike over Roe v. Wade ruling; Twitter reacts with mockery and scorn

The overturn of Roe v. Wade has led to temper tantrums in the streets and on Twitter with perhaps none more ridiculous than activist women who didn’t get their way calling for abstinence in the form of a nationwide sex strike to protest the Supreme Court’s landmark decision.

On Friday, after just short of its 50th anniversary, Roe itself was aborted by conservative justices in a 6-3 ruling that was foretold by the shocking leak of a draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito last month, leading to an organized harassment campaign during which angry mobs harassed judges and their families in their homes in a clear violation of federal law and a man who traveled from California to assassinate Justice Brett Kavanaugh got cold feet at the last minute.

The historic ruling was a long in the making counterpunch to the left’s hostile takeover of America, sending shockwaves through the ranks of the “woke” from the White House, to Congress to the social media mosh pit of Twitter, a magnet for the most emotionally unstable leftist personalities in the country.

And they swarmed after the court’s decision, pouring out every ounce of the ugliness and sorrow from very the depths of their barren souls, sending #sexstrike and #abstinence trending.

“To the men of America, we are not your incubators. You may just find yourselves in the midst of a national sex strike — or worse,” wrote one unhinged user who suggested the poisoning of men in general. “If you try to send us back to the kitchen, You may want to check to make sure that the rat poison is where you last left it.”

Another user wrote, “women should go on a sex strike. if women should take responsibility for our actions and accept the consequences, and the only way to be sure we won’t end up ruining our entire life is abstinence, men should be equally willing to not have sex until they want a baby too, right?”

Another user believes that a sex strike will be the magic bullet, “We need to protest by cutting off all sex married or not! Men will fight for our reproductive rights if they stop getting any! The only 100% effective birth control method is abstinance, let the men understand what that means!!”

Others also expressed their enthusiasm that such a protest would actually work in the real world outside of Twitter — Caution: Adult Language

However, many Twitter users showered the sex strike with the mockery and scorn that it is fully deserving of.

The idea of a sex strike isn’t exactly original – because with the loony left, nothing ever is – and was the originally the brainstorm of aging, faded B-list actress turned activist:
