Mandela Barnes: ‘God, Country, and Guns’ Rhetoric as Dangerous as ISIS Terrorists

Wisconsin Dem praised Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei and Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad

Wisconsin Democratic Senate candidate Mandela Barnes said people who support "God, country, and guns" are espousing the same "dangerous" rhetoric as members of the terrorist group ISIS.

Barnes made the comments in a Twitter post in November 2015, two days after terrorists carried out a string of coordinated attacks in France that killed 130 people. ISIS—which claimed at the time that it had established a caliphate in parts of Iraq and Syria—took credit for the attacks.

"There are people in the legislature who feel a caliphate threat is real in America," said Barnes in a Nov. 16, 2015, post. "I try to remind them of their theocratic votes."

"God, country, and guns is as dangerous of a rhetoric here as it is over there," added Barnes.

The comments could fuel concerns over Barnes's fiery and often controversial social media posts. His opponent, Republican senator Ron Johnson, has slammed Barnes over posts praising Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei and defending Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, which were first reported by the Washington Free Beacon.

Barnes did not respond to a request for comment.

In other posts publicized by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Barnes said he "really could not care less about a Second Amendment ‘right'" to bear arms and mocked House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R., La.) for supporting gun rights after the Republican got shot by a deranged Bernie Sanders supporter in 2017.

He also slammed George Washington as a slave owner after another Twitter user called Washington "one of the top presidents."

"Yeah. I mean, if slave owning is your thing, have at it!" wrote Barnes.

Barnes has tried to distance himself from last year's "defund the police" and "Abolish ICE" movements despite taking funding from those groups and making social media posts that indicate he supported those campaigns. The Johnson campaign has highlighted the Democrat's long history of far-left positions, including his support for ending cash bail, his argument that the United States must "stymie capitalism" to address climate change, and...

America’s Woke Military Has Never Been This Weak

But Biden’s National Security Strategy says diversity is our strength.

For the first time the Heritage Foundation’s index of American military strength has ranked us as ‘weak’. The index warns that the Army “remains ‘weak’ in capacity with only 62 percent of the force it should have”. And even the Army has admitted that it has missed its recruiting target by 10,000 personnel which is expected to climb to over 20,000 by the end of the next fiscal year.

As Heritage and the Wall Street Journal note, “From 2005 to 2020, the U.S. fleet grew to 296 warships from 291, while China’s navy grew to 360 from 216.” The Navy however is focused on inclusion and diversity. The situation at the Air Force is much worse with the Heritage report warning that “the munitions stockpile” would probably “not support a peer-level fight that lasted more than a few weeks”. But the Air Force is also focused on diversity and inclusion.

The Navy is rated as very weak in capacity and weak in readiness. The Air Force ranks as very weak due to “problems with pilot production and retention, an extraordinarily small amount of time in the cockpit for pilots, and a fleet of aircraft that continues to age”. The Heritage index warns that “there is little doubt that it would struggle in war with a peer competitor”.

The Space Force is described as weak because “there is little evidence that the USSF has improved its readiness to provide nearly real-time support to operational and tactical levels of force operations or that it is ready in any way to execute defensive and offensive counterspace operations.”

Only the Marine Corps is rated as strong. Even our nuclear capabilities are slipping with “Russia and China are aggressively expanding the types and quantities of nuclear weapons in their inventories. Nearly all components of the nuclear enterprise are at a tipping point with respect to replacement or modernization and have no margin left for delays in schedule.”

It’s no coincidence that the ‘wokest’ service branches also show up as the weakest.

The takeaway from the Heritage report that “the current U.S. military force is at significant risk of not being able to meet the demands of a single major regional conflict while also attending to various presence and engagement activities” should be a grave warning and a wake up call.

Anyone worried about these numbers will find scant comfort in Biden’s new National Security Strategy released earlier in October. The NSS is supposed to define an administration’s vision. And Biden’s NSS is depressingly faithful to the woke obsessions that have...

In Orlando, Jaw-dropping Allegations of Systemic Ballot Harvesting in Black Neighborhoods

Florida’s new Office of Election Crimes and Security (OECS) has collected enough evidence of jaw-dropping systemic ballot harvesting in the Orlando area to recommend state law enforcement open a full criminal investigation. Ballot harvesting — the collection and casting of third-party ballots — can lead to fraud and is illegal in Florida.

Investigative news site Just The News obtained a statement from the OECS, confirming the department’s investigation:
“The Florida Department of State, Office of Election Crimes and Security (OECS) was made aware of this issue around September 1, 2022,” the department said. “After further inquiry, OECS received additional information related to the allegation on October 17, 2022, and performed a preliminary investigation.

“Since OECS is an investigative entity and does not [have] authority to make arrests, the office forwarded the complaint to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for possible violation of section 104.0616, Florida Statutes,” it added.
Just The News reports that the OECS investigation was launched after Cynthia Harris, a former candidate for Orange County Commissioner, filed a sworn affidavit with the Florida Secretary of State’s office. In her affidavit, Harris described a long-standing, systemic ballot-harvesting operation in the Orlando area’s African-American communities. On Wednesday night, Harris appeared on Just the News, No Noise to discuss the electoral exploitation of black communities that she says has been going on for years.

“So what happens is, in our community, when absentee ballots are mailed, you, the candidate, or any political party can find out when the absentee ballots are mailed and to whom. What happens is these ballot harvesters, they know which batch has gone out, they go to the door and they ask you for your absentee ballot,” said Harris. “Well, in communities that don’t look like me [aka white communities], no one does this,” noted Harris, who is black. “But in our community, it’s kind of like an accepted practice that the man is coming by to pick up my absentee ballot, or the lady is coming to pick up my absentee ballot.”

Just The News reports that Harris “even recorded a ballot broker coming to her home in 2017 to collect her ballot, and obtained the script that harvester was given by her bosses to make the pitch for a voter to turn over their ballot.” Harris, a Democrat, alleges that the entire operation is funded by progressive organizations:
[Harris] filed a sworn affidavit in late August with the Secretary of State’s office alleging that illegal operations to collect third-party ballots have been going on for years in the Orlando area where voting activists are paid $10 for each ballot they collect.

She described an intricate system funded by liberal leaning organizations that dispatch ballot brokers into black communities to pressure voters to turn over their ballots. The $10 fee per ballot is divvied up among the parties who help complete the harvesting.
There is so much more in the report from Just The News that at this point I’m just going to send you there if you want to keep reading. But suffice it to say that, in her affidavit, Harris served up plenty of what sure sounds like actionable information and evidence.

Harris had long been frustrated with the alleged underhanded system in place in her community, but her motivation to finally come forward likely stems from her own experience with wonky ballot counting last summer. Harris ran in the primary for Orange County Commissioner and came in second place on election night, pleased to have made it to the runoff stage. But during a recount, Harris told Just The News, her tally dropped by 14 votes, and she was declared the third-place winner. Her experience parallels what Republicans across the country have...
