Kevin McCarthy is ‘Controlled Opposition’

David Giglio, host of “America First Live” and Vice President of the Republican National Hispanic Assembly (RNHA) of Madera County, California, blasted Kevin McCarthy (D-CA) as the establishment-backed choice for the next U.S. Speaker of the House in a statement on Saturday and criticized the lackluster performance of the GOP in the recent elections.

“I don’t care who endorses him, Kevin McCarthy is controlled opposition and has no business being Speaker of the House,” Giglio said. “You thought Paul Ryan was bad, Kevin will be worse. A McCarthy Speakership would be disastrous for the GOP’s long term future.”

Peter Duke, professional photographer and publisher of The Duke Report, spoke with The National File on Tuesday about the statement made by Giglio.

“Controlled opposition is somebody who presents themselves as one side of politics and they’re actually on the other side, usually to obtain information and control,” Duke explained. “Calling someone controlled opposition in current congress is like yelling ‘Fire!’ when you’re standing in a forest fire. They’re all owned. The thing is, Kevin McCarthy cannot get elected to that job [as Speaker of the House] unless a bunch of other people are paid off too. Its basically like an organized graft system.”

In a response to social and political commentator, Rick Myles, Giglio also pointed out the fact that McCarthy is on the Foreign Affairs Committee for the World Economic Forum (WEF), the powerful nongovernmental organization (NGO) founded by German economist Klaus Schwab.

“The speaker election is a no win situation. Either it’s Uni-party McCarthy or it will be someone installed by an unholy alliance of the Democrats and 6-10 RINOs. Possibly Paul Ryan or some other similar WEF associated character,” Myles asserted.

“Kevin McCarthy is part of the WEF lol. There’s other options. [It] just takes courage,” Giglio replied.

On Tuesday, Giglio followed up his statement about the House Minority Leader with another one that included Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“The GOP just surrendered their biggest bargaining chip, the power of the purse, for the next 10 months,” Giglio said. “They even voted to bar CBP funds from being used to improve Border Security.”

“GOP Leader and Leader McConnell are failures,” Gilgio added.

The political analyst also called out McCarthy for his failure to denounce the kangaroo-court-esque January 6 committee.

“How come [McCarthy] has nothing to say about the sham [J6 Committee] recommending a slew of BS ‘trumped up [pun intended] charges against President Trump? It’s time for Trump to realize that Kevin doesn’t actually...

House GOP locates emails, texts showing Pelosi office directly involved in failed Jan. 6 security

Democrat leadership blamed for "knee-jerk reaction" and failing to equip police in security staffer's email after tragedy.

House Republicans have gathered a trove of text and email messages revealing that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office was directly involved in the creation and editing of the Capitol security plan that failed during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot and that security officials later declared they had been "denied again and again" the resources needed to protect one of the nation’s most important homes of democracy.

The internal communications were made public Wednesday in a report compiled by Republican Reps. Rodney Davis, Jim Banks, Troy Nehls, Jim Jordan and Kelly Armstrong that encompasses the results of months of investigation they did of evidence that had been ignored by the Democrat-led Jan. 6 committee. The lawmakers were authorized by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to do their own probe.

The report concludes the Capitol was left vulnerable on Jan. 6 as a result of failures by the Democratic leadership in the House and law enforcement leaders in the Capitol Police who allowed concerns about the "optics" of having armed officers and National Guardsmen visible to the public to override the need for enhanced security.

"Leadership and law enforcement failures within the U.S. Capitol left the complex vulnerable on January 6, 2021," the report concluded. "The Democrat-led investigation in the House of Representatives, however, has disregarded those institutional failings that exposed the Capitol to violence that day."

The report corroborated prior reporting by Just the News that Capitol Police began receiving specific warnings in mid-December that there could be significant violence planned against the Capitol and lawmakers by protesters planning to attend the certification of the 2020 election results.

"Prior to that day, the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) had obtained sufficient information from an array of channels to anticipate and prepare for the violence that occurred," the report determined.

Banks said the GOP report helps counter a Democrat narrative that ignored security failures by police and political leadership.

"Our report exposes the partisanship, incompetence and indifference that led to the disaster on January 6 and it the leading role Speaker Pelosi and her office played in the security failure at the Capitol," he said. "Unlike the sham January 6th Committee, House Republicans produced a useful report that will keep our Capitol and USCP officers safe with no subpoena power and no budget."

Capitol Police said Wednesday they have been working to address the many failures the GOP report and other investigations have brought to light.

"For nearly two years our officers, officials and civilian employees have been working around the clock to address many of these findings and similar findings from a series of post January 6 reviews," the department said in a statement. "We value everyone's input and we are confident the U.S. Capitol complex is more secure because of the hard work of our brave men and women and because of the resources provided by the Congress to turn recommendations into results."

But even as the department made the pledge to fix things, new failures were being unmasked. In an interview with CNN, Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger acknowledged his department hadn't checked security at Pelosi's home for four years before the attack earlier this fall on her husband. He vowed his department would do a better job dealing with...

38 percent of students at US liberal arts colleges identify as LGBTQ

The data indicated that the student population of several liberal arts colleges could actually be majority LGBTQ.

A recent study conducted by the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology has revealed that 38 percent of students attending liberal arts colleges in the United States identify as LGBTQ.

The data, CSPI suggested, indicate that the student population of several liberal arts colleges could actually be majority LGBTQ.

According to the study, of the over 150 schools surveyed, the twenty-three liberal arts colleges showed the highest proportion of LGBTQ-identifying students, with Ivy League institutions coming in second with 27 percent.

Three schools in particular, Oberlin, Wellesley, and Smith College, were estimated to have the highest proportion of LGBTQ students at 51, 61, and 70 percent, respectively.

CSPI argued that the overrepresentation of LGBTQ students at liberal arts colleges was "linked to the strongly liberal ideology at these colleges," pointing out that 37 percent of "very liberal" students identified as LGBTQ compared to just 5 percent of their "very conservative" counterparts.

It was also suggested that gender played a role; 56 percent of students at liberal arts colleges are female, and females are more likely to identify as LGBTQ.

According to the study, 28 percent of all female respondents said they identified as LGBTQ compared to just 16 percent of males.

Illustrating this point further is the fact that the school with the highest proportion of LGBTQ students, Smith College, is a private liberal arts women's college in Massachusetts.

While many conservative and Christian institutions, such as Brigham Young University in Utah, showed a considerably lower than average share of LGBTQ students, it was noted that at no school did they make up less than 10 percent of the student population.

As CSPI reports, the share of LGBTQ students has risen dramatically in recent years, due in large part to the fact that the incoming students, largely Gen Z, are far more likely to identify as something other than heterosexual and cisgender.

They point out that such students "appear to be self-selecting into elite higher education institutions in somewhat larger numbers compared to...
