David D. Burstein is one of the young rising stars of progressivism, as a glance at his personal website reveals. Praise from the likes of Howard Dean, Judy Woodruff of PBS, and David Gergen reveal him to be an anointed one, predicting that Millennials will bring a glorious new era in his book Fast Future: How the Millennial Generation is Shaping Our World.
But last night, Burstein took on Tucker Carlson, defending a program at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, that offers credit for a program that focuses on what it alleges are traits of "dominant white culture" that include "superficiality" and "extreme exportation of labor and resources for profit." My impression is that he had never encountered someone willing to press him to go beyond his talking points.
Carlson went for the jugular and kept pressing Burstein, who defended these negative generalizations about white people, if he was willing to make a negative generalization about any other demographic group in America. Apparently realizing he was trapped because of the utter taboo on P.C. white males criticizing nonwhites in any way, but admitting that only whites can be negatively stereotyped would discredit him and the program he was defending, Burstein emitted word clouds of rhetoric.
It was a pleasure to watch.

This quote is attributed to Sir Walter Scott, a Scottish historian and novelist. Too bad he wasn’t available for a sermon at the royal wedding this past weekend, rather than social justice preacher Bishop Michael Curry. The House of Windsor certainly wove a tangled web over the decades.
The Deep State has been weaving its own tangled web of Russian collusion for the past two years beginning with Russia supposedly hacking the 2016 election, creating the electoral outcome they desired. It has since morphed into Trump colluding with the Russians, despite zero proof on the one-year anniversary of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s free-for-all investigation by his merry band of partisan Democrats.
It’s now to the point that Mueller’s team is investigating anyone in Trump’s circle who ever ate a bowl of borscht or drank a sip of Russian vodka. At a time when this couldn’t get any more ridiculous, look no further than the Washington Post for a version of “can you top this?”
A few days ago, the WaPo published an opinion piece entitled, “The FBI didn’t use an informant to go after Trump. They used one to protect him.”
Sure, they did. I can’t wait to read from the WaPo how Iran wants nukes to “protect” Israel or that that sanctuary cities are for the “protection” of legal, law-abiding residents of those cities.
The Trump piece was written by Asha Rangappa, a former FBI agent and Yale graduate. That’s two strikes against her already. The Clintons are Yale graduates and James Comey is a former FBI agent. I rest my case.
Her piece comes on the heels of revelations that the FBI had an “informant” spying on Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. Remember that Watergate was about a bungled burglary of DNC headquarters. Having a mole within the DNC would have been beyond Nixon’s wildest dreams. Yet this is just what the FBI did to...
Nunes: DOJ or FBI Is Leaking About Informant, So ‘Show Us the Information’
“They continue to leak out things about this informant,” Nunes told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo on Sunday.
“And we don't know if there's one informant or more informants, because there's so much out there now, it's really getting tough to follow, and all we're asking is, give us the documentation that you used to start this investigation."
Nunes noted that the Steele dossier -- opposition research paid for by the DNC and the Clinton campaign -- was used to get a FISA warrant to surveil Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. "So we're trying to get to the bottom of, you know, what else was used in that FISA, because you have many people in the Department of Justice who claim that we're wrong (that the Steele dossier was the sole basis for the warrant). So, if we're wrong, show us the information,” Nunes said.
Former FBI Director Jim Comey recently told Fox News's Bret Baier that the FISA warrant did not depend solely on the unverified, salacious Steele dossier. Comey said he recollects that the FISA warrant stemmed from a "broader mosaic of facts that were laid before the FISA judge."
“Yeah, we're looking for the pieces of Mr. Comey and the FBI's mosaic," Nunes said. "We have a right to get the information, if James Comey and many others…people that are currently at the Department of Justice today continue to say there is nothing to see here. Well, if there's nothing to see here, show us the documents that we're asking for. And they refuse to do it.”
Nunes said someone at the Justice Department or FBI continues to "leak" following Nunes' and Rep. Trey Gowdy’s recent meeting at the Justice Department to discuss the documents they want to see.
"We're not going to go to another meeting where we don't get documents and then the meeting leaks out,” Nunes said. “And this should make people very suspicious. They were trying to get Mr. Gowdy and I to go on Friday to the Department of Justice for supposedly another briefing. We said, look, unless we're going to get documents -- we found out Thursday night they were not going to provide documents -- so therefore, we're not going to go.
“Now, if you look what happened on Friday night -- probably the mother of all leaks of all time to two major newspapers that came out late Friday night. Now, Had Mr. Gowdy and I went to that meeting, you can bet they would have tried to pin that on....
Israeli's Deadly Air Force Has Been Destroying Syria's Russian-Built Air Defense Systems
In addition to numerous Iranian logistical bases and staging areas, the Israeli jets also fired on Syrian air defenses that attempted to engage them, destroying five Syrian missile batteries. These reportedly included older, fixed S-75 and S-200 batteries, as well as more modern, self-propelled Buk-M2E and Pantsir-S1 systems. No Israeli jets were shot down.
The destruction of the Pantsir-S1 (NATO codename SA-22), which you can see in this video, has aroused interest because it is a relatively up-to-date short-range air defense system. While Israeli fighters likely attacked it from beyond its retaliation range, the Pantsir is supposedly capable of shooting down cruise missiles—precisely the type of weapon used to destroy it.
In the video, the vehicle crew do not appear to react to the incoming guided munition, let alone shoot at it with its close-defense automatic cannon. While this would seem to be a failure of its infrared, optical and radar sensors, some Russian commentators have suggested the crew failed to be on alert despite the mass of Israeli airstrikes taking place, or that the vehicle had run out of ammunition—which seems unlikely.
The performance on May 9 was par for the course for Syrian Air Defense Force. Despite having well over eight hundred Soviet and Russian-built surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs) bound together into an integrated air-defense network supported by dozens of radars, Syrian SAMs have only shot down a single Israeli jet over years of air attacks, and failed to intercept mass cruise missile strikes on two occasions.
Admittedly, years of civil war have caused the loss of numerous fixed air-defense assets and sapped morale, logistics and training standards. Report: Muslims Forced to Eat Pork, Drink Alcohol As Punishment in China's Islamic 'Re-Education' Camps

Former inmates have told of the horror after being detained in China's indoctrination camps for Muslims, where they were physically and mentally tortured.
Around 900,000 to one million Muslims are estimated to have been detained in such re-education camps in China's western province of Xinjiang as Beijing tries to clamp down on potential separatist movements.
Omir Bekali and Kayrat Samarkand, both former detainees, have told the Washington Post that these former prisoners have been forced to eat pork and drink alcohol, forbidden in Islam, as punishment.
Hour upon hour, day upon day, Bekali and other detainees in these new indoctrination camps had to disavow their Islamic beliefs, criticise themselves and their loved ones and give thanks to the ruling Communist Party.
When Bekali, a Kazakh Muslim, refused to follow orders each day, he was forced to stand at a wall for five hours at a time. A week later, he was sent to solitary confinement, where he was deprived of food for 24 hours. After 20 days in the heavily guarded camp, he wanted to kill himself.
'The psychological pressure is enormous, when you have to criticise yourself, denounce your thinking - your own ethnic group,' said Bekali in a separate interview with AP as he broke down in tears while describing the camp.

CNN's Ana Navarro Called Donald Trump an 'Animal' In 2016
Basically, we now have a media that condemns those who describe murdering rapists as animals, but welcomes and promotes those who describe a Republican presidential candidate as an “animal.”
On October 9, 2016, just weeks prior to Trump’s upset presidential victory, Navarro, who CNN still falsely advertises as a Republican, tweeted the following from her verified Twitter account, “Should Donald Trump drop out of the race? Yes. He should drop out of the human race. He is an animal. Apologies to animals.”

Watching our esteemed establishment media this week, as they fell all over themselves sputtering fake news and faux outrage over President Trump’s “animal” remarks was, in a word, a hoot. First, we were treated to the obligatory and predictable lies, with story after story spreading the false claim that Trump had described all immigrants as “animals.”
Then, after that lie had been spread around the world, the truth finally got its shoes on when the media was forced to acknowledge Trump was referring only to a vicious gang of unrepentant rapists and murderers.
Nevertheless, even after these retractions, we were still treated to any number of sanctimonious riffs from the media about how it is still wrong to “dehumanize” a gang of organized rapists and murderers as “animals.”
In fact, over his “animal” remark, Navarro herself compared to Trump to the Nazis. “Trump is in very bad company,” Navarro tweeted. “Nazis referred to Jews as “rats”. Slave-owners viewed slaves as sub-human animals.” She did the same on CNN’s basement-rated New Day.
And so, once again, our media not only revealed themselves to be liars and hypocrites, but con artists who fabricate the rules as they go along. If it is handy at the time to beat Trump over the head with a just-invented rule about the use of the word “animals,” that is what the media do.
But if it helpful to the media’s cause to describe a Republican presidential candidate as an “animal,” that is not only okay, it is rewarded with glossy profiles in the New York Times, applauded with tongue baths in the New Yorker, encouraged with fawning attention in the Washington Post, and paid for by...
President Orders DOJ Probe of Its Spying on His 2016 Campaign
“I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes — and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!” Trump tweeted Sunday.
The New York Times reported Thursday that the FBI under former President Barack Obama’s administration had a spy watching the inner workings of Trump’s campaign.
Deep in the story, The Times reported that “at least one government informant met several times with Mr. [Carter] Page and [George] Papadopoulos,” two of Trump’s former campaign advisers.

Despite easing down, sporadic protests have been ongoing across Iran and have been widely energized by words and support from President Donald Trump – and the hope for more substantial support. Despite its vast oil and gas resources, the Iranian economy is in shambles.
More than three decades of rule by the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) has not only failed to achieve the security and well-being of its people, it has ensnared the nation in a stifling theocracy where the rights of the governed are routinely violated for the benefit of the governing.
The revolution of 1979 that brought down Mohammad Reza Shah in the hope of instituting a democratic government was quickly usurped by a religious autocracy.
For the past 40 years, the Islamic Republic’s response to the legitimate peaceful protests and demands of the people has been an iron fist in the form of heartless beatings of the demonstrators -- both men and women -- there have been arrests, torture, and rape of some in secretive compounds, and even shooting the unarmed in the streets, a standard stock of dictatorships, yet the surest way of swelling and solidifying the ranks of the dissenters.

BRUTAL SERIAL RAPIST IN ILLINOIS IS ILLEGAL ALIEN…PRESS IGNORES
Utilizing the services of a courtroom interpreter, Miguel Luna, now 37, pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual assault for raping women on the I&M Canal path near Joliet. Judge David Carlson set sentencing for July 16. Luna lived in the 1400 block of Winifred Street in Joliet at the time of his crimes, according to the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Luna has remained in the Will County jail since May 22, 2016. He is being held without any bail.
Will County State’s Attorney spokesman Chuck Pelkie said Luna was accused of assaulting three women on the I&M trail, but charges in one of those case were dropped in exchange for his guilty plea. “The third victim, … recently died, and the charges related to her case were dropped in exchange for his guilty plea in the other two cases,” Pelkie said in a statement Thursday. “It is important to note that the investigation into the third victim’s case is what led police to identify Luna as the attacker in all three sexual assaults.”
According to prosecutors, Luna attacked his first victim on Sept. 6, 2015 between Brandon Road and Larkin Avenue. He jumped off a bike, tackled the woman from behind, dragged her into the woods, and tied her up. He raped his victim during the more than 90 minutes he held her captive, prosecutors said.
Then Luna struck again around 8 a.m. May 21, 2016. That victim was running along the Frontage Road near Interstate 55. That morning, Luna wore sunglasses, a ski mask, surgical gloves as he grabbed the woman from behind and put her into a choke hold, prosecutors say. Luna raped her under the I-55 viaduct.

11 Animalistic Crimes Committed Against Americans by MS-13 Gang
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi slammed Trump’s attack on MS-13 gang members, saying, “Does he not believe in the spark of divinity, the dignity and worth of every person?”
Multiple media pundits, including the Washington Post‘s Jennifer Rubin,defended MS-13 gang members against Trump’s “animals” remark, calling the statement “disgusting” and attacking Evangelical Trump supporters. 1. MS-13 Pimp Ordered Baseball Bat Beating of Underage ‘Prostitute’
Prosecutors in Montgomery County, Maryland, charged a known MS-13 leader for ordering the beating of a 15-year-old girl with a baseball bat who had been forced into prostitution. Two other Salvadoran nationals are also named in the case.
Law enforcement officials said that Miguel Angel “Noctorno” Ayala-Rivera, a 24-year-old MS-13 member who illegally entered the U.S. from El Salvador, ordered his fellow gang members to beat a 15-year-old girl with a baseball bat. “Noctorno” reportedly pimped out the victim along with other underage girls, Breitbart Texas reported.
2. MS-13 Gang Beheaded Victim — Cut out His Heart, Say Maryland Police
A gang of 10 MS-13 members brutally murdered a Maryland man by stabbing more him than 100 times, beheading and dismembering him, and cutting out his heart, Maryland detectives say. The victim has yet to be positively identified and police are asking for help from the community, Breitbart Texas reported.
Court documents obtained by ABC 7 News in Washington, D.C., reveal the brutal details of the ambush and murder allegedly carried out by an informant and nine other MS-13 members. The attack is believed to have been carried out by the gang in early spring this year, officers write in the Statement of Charges.
3. MS-13 Gang Members Beat, Stab New York Teen Girls to Death
A number of MS-13 Gang members, some of which are illegal immigrants, were indicted in federal court for their involvement in the slayings of two New York teenagers.
Some 13 MS-13 gang members, 10 being illegal immigrants, were indicted for murder charges against Nisa Mickens and Kayla Cuevas, as well as five other individuals who were allegedly murdered by the criminal organization, Breitbart Texas reported.

New York Attorney Robert Capers said the MS-13 gang members noticed the two teenage girls while they were looking for rival gang members to spar with. The gang members had previously known Cuevas from a past altercation and called their gang leader for approval to kill the girls.
Capers told the media that the two girls were killed by MS-13 gang members “swinging baseball bats and machetes” at them, pointing out that both were running for their lives.
4. MS-13 Gang Members Beat Maryland Woman to Death
Five illegal aliens who are part of the MS-13 gang were charged in connection with the brutal murder of a Maryland woman who was beaten to death and buried in June and unearthed in September, Breitbart Texas reported.
Maryland authorities discovered the body of 21-year-old Jenni B. Rivera in a shallow grave on the outskirts of Annapolis, the Baltimore Sun reported. The victim was allegedly lured to her death and then beaten by Ervin Figueroa, Brenda Argueta, Ronald Mendez Sosa, Darvin Guerra-Zacarias, and Francisco Ramirez-Pena – all five members of the MS-13 who have immigration detainers on them. Each had varying degrees of participation, with two carrying out the actual murder.
5. ‘See You in Hell,’ Convicted Female MS-13 Gang Member Told Victim
A female MS-13 gang member told her victim she would see you in hell before stabbing her 15-year-old victim 13 times. The now-convicted killer confessed to police that she killed the victim in revenge for the girl sleeping with her boyfriend, Breitbart Texas reported.
Venus Romero Iraheta pleaded guilty this week in a Virginia court on charges of first-degree murder, abduction, and criminal street gang participation, Fox 26 reported. Even though the killer was 17 at the time of the murder, the state tried her as an adult. She faces a maximum penalty of life in prison plus 20 years.
6. Four NY Teens Brutally Beaten to Death by MS-13 Gang
Investigators identified the victims on Friday as Michael Lopez Banegas, 20, Jefferson Villalobos, 18, Jorge Tigre, 18, and Justin Llivicura, 16, Breitbart Texasreported.
The bodies were found Wednesday near a soccer field inside Recreation Village Town Park located on Long Island.
Authorities said the murders, which represent one incident, are consistent with MS-13, which is known to have a strong presence in the area.
Referring to just one of the victims, Suffolk County Police Commissioner Timothy D. Sini said, “He was beaten to death. Brutally. It wasn’t like they shot him and left it. They beat him to death brutally.”
