Judge Orders Hillary Clinton Deposition in Judicial Watch Lawsuit

A federal judge on Monday ordered former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to give a deposition under oath over a years-old lawsuit filed by the conservative group Judicial Watch regarding her role in the response to the 2012 attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya.

U.S. District Court Royce Lamberth, a Reagan appointee, said in court filings that written answers provided by Clinton to questions from Judicial Watch were "incomplete, unhelpful, or cursory, at best."

"As extensive as the existing record is, it does not sufficiently explain Secretary Clinton’s state of mind when she decided it would be an acceptable practice to set up and use a private server to conduct State Department business," Lamberth wrote in his order. "Simply put, her responses left many more questions than answers."

"Even years after the FBI investigation, the slow trickle of new emails has yet to be explained," the judge added, referring to the rate at which emails from Clinton's private email server have since been released.

The order is the first requiring Clinton to testify under oath in person on the subject of the 2012 attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi and the Obama administration's response at the time, when Clinton was head of the State Department.

Susan Rice Lies Again -- Obama and Soleimani

Susan Rice was a little less ubiquitous this time around than during her infamous five-talk-show world tour repeating the lie that the Benghazi terrorist attack was the fault of an inflammatory video and not due to the criminal negligence of President Barack Hussein Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. But there she was again on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Comedy Hour” defending her former boss, this time against charges that President Trump cleaned up more of Obama’s Iran mess by terminating the life and reign of terror of Iranian Gen. and Quds Force Commander Qassem Soleimani:

The Obama administration wasn’t presented with the opportunity to take out Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who was killed by a U.S. airstrike in Baghdad early Friday, former national security adviser Susan Rice said Friday night.

“Had we been presented such an opportunity, what we would have done is weigh very carefully and very deliberately the risks versus the potential rewards,” Rice told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow….

Rice questioned whether Trump made the right decision.

“So, if in fact the administration can be believed that there was indeed strong intelligence of an imminent threat against the United States that’s being carried out by Soleimani and related militia then the question becomes [was] there more than one way to address that threat?” she told Maddow. “Was the only way to deal with it to kill Soleimani? Certainly, given his history and track record, he deserves his just rewards but the question is does that serve our interests? Does that make us more secure?”

Uh, yes it does, Susan. The Trump administration is certainly more believable than you and the Obama administration was in explaining why four Americans were abandoned to die in Benghazi, including Amb. Christopher Stevens. Because Trump killed Soleimani, the American embassy did not turn into another Obama-Clinton-Rice Benghazi tragedy.

The “reward” is that Soleimani can no longer ply his murderous trade and the families of the 600-plus Americans killed by his explosively-formed-penetrators can take some solace in his occupation of a special place in Hell. Those maimed by this butcher can take heart in that not enough pieces of him were found to have an open casket. And what were the risks? That those shouting “Death to America!” might try to kill us?

According to a 2018 report in the Daily Beast, Obama launched 186 drone strikes in Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan during just his first two years in office. If he wanted to, he could have found and killed him. He killed Osama bin Laden, and took credit for it, even though the legwork was done by the preceding Bush administration. Osama bin Laden was killed while Obama was president, not because he was president

Obama didn’t want to kill Soleimani. He wanted the nuclear deal sellout with Iran, and killing Iran’s Quds Force commanding general would not have advance the deal. Better for Obama to release $150 billion to the Iranians and fly in some $1.8 billion in cash and drop it on an Iranian tarmac in the middle of the night. Quid pro quo, anyone? Obama not only didn’t pursue Soleimani as a matter of policy, he provided Soleimani and Iran with a terrorist-and-weapons slush fund to...

Add Iran’s Leadership to the Ash Heap of History

Addressing the British Parliament in 1982, President Ronald Reagan outlined a plan for placing the Soviet Union and Marxism-Leninism on the “ash heap of history.”

It is an objective President Donald Trump might pursue against the mullahs in Iran, who are subsidizing terrorism in the Middle East and threatening to export it elsewhere.

The latest military and verbal volleys between the United States and Iran started when a branch of the Hezbollah terrorist group (called “militants” by some reporters) attacked the American Embassy in Baghdad.

Unlike the 2012 terrorist assaults in Benghazi, Libya, during which U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, Information Officer Sean Smith, and two CIA operatives, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, both former Navy SEALs, were killed, while President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton did little, Trump sent in the Marines who repelled the terrorists.

The Baghdad incident followed U.S. airstrikes that killed 25 militia members, who the U.S. had claimed were responsible for the death of an American contractor. Following the repulsion of the embassy attackers, new U.S. airstrikes near Baghdad International Airport killed Qassim Suleimani, leader of Iran’s elite Quds Force.

This prompted a response from Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who said Iran and other “free nations in the region” will take revenge on the United States. The only “free nation” in the region is Israel, which Iran has promised to destroy.

In terms of a focused verbal response, it is hard to beat what Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., said:

The Media's Worst Year

There were certainly a lot of candidates for the biggest story of 2019, from the red-hot economy to the Mueller mumblings to the president’s record pace in reshaping the judiciary. But, my vote for the biggest story of 2019 is the complete collapse of media credibility along with its continued poisonous influence.

The media sold its soul to the Democrats long ago, but 2019 was its worst year on record. Consider a few of the worst offenses.

Exhibit A

A Washington Post headline declared that slain ISIS leader and hardened terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghadi an “austere religious scholar.” Nothing to see here other than another charming chap in horn-rimmed glasses. They simply did not have it in them to celebrate a major U.S. achievement that reflected positively on the president they hate.

Showing that they never learn from their mistakes, this week’s headline from the same paper declared that the world’s worst terrorist, Qasem Soleimani, who ran Iran’s terrorist and intelligence networks with the blood of scores of Americans on his hands, was Iran’s “most revered military leader.”

The media are going to need to open a reverential hall of fame to celebrate the likes of al-Baghadi, Soleimani, and the “peaceful protestors” who tried to Benghazi the embassy in Iraq. CNN, for its part, is doing its usual effort to paint this in the most anti-Trump light, with an entire story dedicated to the fact that President Donald Trump dined on ice cream when news of the strike broke, perhaps with a side of Chianti.

Exhibit B

Consider the following indisputable fact – Iranian terror leader General Qassim Soleimani planned and financed the 2012 attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya that led to the deaths of four Americans, including the first U.S. ambassador killed in the line of duty in more than four decades.

Now consider the next indisputable fact – then President Barack Obama rewarded Iran for this attack with billions of dollars, handed over much of Iraq to them, and gave them a green-light nuclear development program.

And now the next indisputable fact – current President Donald Trump, after getting confirmation of Soleimani’s role in the most recent attacks against U.S. personnel in the Middle East as well as imminent future attacks, didn’t reward Soleimani and the militant Iranian regime he was a part of. No, instead President Trump ordered the air strike that killed Soleimani.

That’s quite a remarkable difference between two American presidents separated by just a single election. Some might call it the difference between “America Last” in the case of Mr. Obama, and “America First” in the case of President Trump. Check out the information below and then decide for yourself:

Ted Cruz Torches MSNBC Host Joy Reid After It Appeared She Was Rooting For Another Benghazi

It is a sad day in America when the people of one Party appear to actually be rooting for the deaths of United States personnel in order to advance a political narrative.

Watching on Twitter in the hours of the siege on the American embassy in Iraq you would have been hard pressed to figure out who the Democrats were rooting for.

In many cases it really appeared to this writer that many of them were actively cheering on the terrorists, hoping for another Benghazi so they could blame President Donald trump.

Chief among them was MSNBC anchor Joy Ann Reid who tweeted “As Trump’s Benghazi unfolds in Iraq…” as he shared a tweet from a self-proclaimed bot.

Reid was swiftly wrecked by supporters of President Trump, including Texas Sen. Ted Cruz who was irate at the host.

“What’s wrong with you? Is partisan hatred really that deep? We root for American soldiers, not against them,” he said.

“It is sad that they wanted it to be another Benghazi. But what they got was a lesson in how a president prevents Benghazi,” I said.

Of course, the big difference between how former President Obama handled Benghazi and President Trump handled Iraq was summed up best by others.

“Unlike Benghazi: – No one at our embassy was killed – Our embassy wasn’t overrun- Trump didn’t sit on his hands and fail to send help like...

It doesn’t seem possible that we’re still writing about Benghazi SO MANY years after the fact, but considering many Americans feel no real justice has been served we imagine we’ll continue to see it popping up. Especially when Hillary Clinton isn’t bright enough to wander back off into the woods …

The email from Sullivan to Clinton is dated September 29, 2012, eighteen days after the attacks. It refers to the controversy over Obama official Susan Rice, who had appeared on TV network Sunday talk shows presenting the incorrect talking points that blamed a “spontaneous” mob. Based on the email, it appears as though someone had asked, on Clinton’s behalf, to answer the accusation that “Susan” had “made things up.” It also seems to imply that Clinton knew “the real story” (the terrorist nature of the attacks) from the start– although she immediately blamed the anti-Muslim video in a meeting with victims’ family members.

Seems Hillary wanted a ‘clean’ record so she could run for president.
