Democrats spent 6 months of research developing 'ultra-MAGA' barb, but it may backfire as Trump and Republicans embrace the supposed insult

Last October, an NBC Sports reporter attempted to go into damage control when a crowd was chanting "F*** Joe Biden" at a NASCAR race. The reporter claimed that the crowd was showing support for the winning driver, Brandon Brown, by shouting, "Let's go Brandon!"

The phrase "Let's go Brandon" instantly became a rallying call for detractors of President Joe Biden. "Let's go Brandon" has been chanted at sporting events, heard in rap songs, and seen on license plates, restaurant signs, shirts, flags, luggage, face masks, and even golf balls.

Democrats may have undertaken an extensive quest to discover their own version of the "Let's go Brandon" slogan.

The Washington Post reported this week that Democrats have spent six months attempting to develop a catchphrase to try to hurt Republicans heading into the 2022 midterm elections. The final result from the six months of research is "ultra-MAGA."

The "ultra-MAGA" term was the strategy developed by the liberal group Center for American Progress Action Fund – which is headed by top Biden aide Anita Dunn.

Polling and focus group testing done by the Hart Research and the Global Strategy Group indicated that potential voters saw the term "MAGA" more negatively than other labels such as "Trump Republicans."

"In battleground areas, more than twice as many voters said they would be less likely to vote for someone called a 'MAGA Republican' than would be more likely," the Washington Post reported. "The research also found that the description tapped into the broad agreement among voters that the Republican Party had become more extreme and power-hungry in recent years."

Navin Nayak – the president and executive director of CAP Action Fund – told the Washington Post that "ultra-MAGA" is a "versatile epithet" because "all of that extremism gets captured in that brand."

"We are not trying to create a new word," Nayak added. "This is how they define themselves."

President Joe Biden first employed the phrase on May 4, while speaking to reporters about deficit reduction at the White House. Biden said "ultra-MAGA" and "MAGA" on 10 different occasions – mostly used in an attack on Sen. Rick Scott's (R-Fla.) "Rescue America" plan.

"This MAGA crowd is really the most extreme political organization that's existed in American history, in recent American history," Biden told reporters.

While giving a statement on the economy on Tuesday, Biden used "ultra-MAGA" or "MAGA" five more times in reference to the popular campaign slogan of former President Donald Trump.

During a fundraising event in Chicago on Wednesday, President Biden uttered the focus group-approved lingo three more times.

"But we have to take on the — MAGA Republicans — 'Make America Great Again' Republicans. I think they’re the most extreme party," Biden said at the Democratic National Committee fundraiser. "And that’s what the Republican Party is now. Not everybody Republican believes that. But the fact of the matter is, they run the show — the MAGA Republicans."

Also on Wednesday, President Biden addressed the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 40th Annual Conference – where he recited the phrase five more times. Biden even called Trump "the great MAGA king."

"Under my predecessor, the great MAGA king, the deficit increased every single year he was president," Biden said of Trump. "The first year of my presidency — the first year, I reduced the deficit — literally reduced the deficit by $350 billion."

Ashley Parker – who wrote the Washington Post piece – noted, "Trump 'absolutely loved' co-opting Biden’s new nickname for him — 'the great MAGA king' — and has privately mocked Biden and Democrats’ 'ultra MAGA' taunt as coming from bad branders, who don’t understand the art of marketing."

Trump reacted to being called the "great MAGA king" by sharing a meme of him photoshopped on the cover of a "Lord of the Rings" movie on his Truth Social platform.

Trump also thanked Biden for the compliment, “The Great MAGA King is the name Joe Biden is now using to describe me. Thank you, Joe. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) also embraced the supposed barb, and declared, "I am ultra MAGA, and I'm proud of it."

Meanwhile, other Republicans are capitalizing on the Democrats trying to make the "MAGA" phrase great again.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is giving away 1,000 "ultra-MAGA" t-shirts away.

Trump's Save America Joint Fundraising Committee is offering...

Meet the Capitol Police’s New Spy Chief

Capitol police, acting as the Stasi of the Democratic Party, will collect dirt on Republicans under the pretense of national security then leak gossipy details to an always-compliant news media.

When most Americans hear the term “Capitol Police,” they likely conjure visions of uniformed officers manning metal detectors at the numerous congressional buildings or helping tourists navigate the sprawling Capitol grounds: a D.C. version of a mall cop.

That imagery, however, is in stark contrast to reality as Democrats have weaponized yet another federal agency to target their political enemies on the Right.

After January 6, 2021, Capitol Police officials announced plans to expand beyond the legislatively authorized purview of the agency and open offices in Florida and California, as well as in other states. Congress overwhelmingly supported a bill last year to fork over $2.1 billion in new funding to the Capitol Police. Now flush with cash and immune from any serious public oversight, the agency is returning the favor by spying on dissidents of the Biden regime.

According to Politico, Capitol Police investigators are preparing secret dossiers on lawmakers, congressional staff, donors, and even constituents who visit their representatives in public or in private.

“After the Jan. 6 insurrection (sic), the Capitol Police’s intelligence unit quietly started scrutinizing the backgrounds of people who meet with lawmakers,” reporters Betsy Woodruff Swan and Daniel Lippman wrote. “Several Capitol Police intelligence analysts have already raised concerns about the practice to the department’s inspector general,” one source told Politico.

Investigators are asked to scour social media accounts and even examine “tax and real estate records to find out who owned the properties that lawmakers visited.” In one example, Capitol Police analyzed a fundraiser held in a private home for Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.). Donors to House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), who was shot by a Bernie Sanders supporter in 2017, also are under Capitol police scrutiny.

Far from ensuring the safety of legislators and their staffs, the underlying political motive is obvious to anyone who’s been paying attention the past several years: the Capitol Police, acting as the Stasi of the Democratic Party, will collect dirt on Republicans under the pretense of national security then leak gossipy details to an always-compliant news media.

Journalists will then source the leaks to anonymous “intelligence officials” to legitimize any incriminating disclosures, which in turn will prompt Democrats to call for immediate investigations and criminal referrals—see the January 6 select committee for how this successful formula works.

In fact, an official from the Obama Administration, the birthplace of Russiagate and other political espionage efforts, is heading up the new endeavor.

“Major changes in the Capitol Police intelligence unit started in fall of 2020, when the department brought on former Department of Homeland Security official Julie Farnam to help run its intelligence unit, which is housed in its Intelligence and Interagency Coordination Division,” Politico confirmed.

Who is Julie Farnam? In October 2014, Farnam was hired by the Obama Administration to serve as...

Unredacted Fauci email proves he lied about funding Wuhan

Republican senators released proof that Dr. Fauci lied to Congress about the NIH funding the Wuhan lab just prior to the pandemic.
Senators Johnson, Paul, Lankford, Scott, and Hawley Demand Chairman Peters hand over the Fauci letters

On Thursday, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Ranking Member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, along with Senators Rand Paul (R-Ky.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Rick Scott (R-Fla.), and Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) wrote a letter to Sen. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) demanding the Fauci letters/emails.

In a May 19 letter, the senators requested all documents relating to coordination between the CDC, the American Federation of Teachers, and the National Education Association in drafting federal school reopening guidance. In the June 11 letter, the senators requested the HHS and the NIH produce unredacted copies of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails.

Since the government is redacting letters to hide information from the public and not for security reasons, the Senators released one such unredacted email.
The letter redacted:

This is the redacted paragraph:

This makes it quite clear that Dr. Fauci lied and did indeed fund the Wuhan lab as they worked on gain-of-function research. This is not a conspiracy theory.

Senator Rand Paul sent a criminal referral in on Fauci for lying to Congress, but...

Persecution: Capitol Protesters Held in Solitary Confinement '23 Hours a Day' - 513 People Charged

A group of Republicans are thankfully starting to pay attention to the people who were arrested in the wake of the events at the Capitol building on January 6, 2021.

A group of Republicans are thankfully starting to pay attention to the people who were arrested in the wake of the events at the Capitol building on January 6, 2021. As RAIR Foundation USA observed on January 9, 2021: “If citizens do not push back against these political arrests, they will only continue and get worse.”

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland dated June 7, 2021, U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Rick Scott (R-Fla.), and Ted Cruz (R-Texas) addressed the clear disparity in treatment of Capitol protesters versus Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters.

They write in part that the “potential unequal administration of justice with respect to certain protestors is particularly concerning.” There have been reports of “Stop the Steal” Rally protestors being held in solitary confinement 23 hours a day.

The Senators ask about the number of people “incarcerated for allegedly committing crimes associated with the Capitol breach,” and of those, how many “are or were placed in solitary confinement”. According to Insider, 513 people have been...

Growing Calls for Moving or Boycotting the Beijing Olympics

A growing number of Western lawmakers and human rights groups are calling for a boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, in response to burgeoning evidence of human rights abuses against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, a remote autonomous region in northwestern China. Human rights experts say that at least one million Muslims are being detained in hundreds of internment camps. • "We're dealing with a government of intolerance, dictatorial, brooks no dissent, arrests people at a drop of a hat. I think there's a very strong case to be made that China should not be rewarded for its astonishingly bad behavior." — British MP Sir Ian Duncan Smith, Co-chair, Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China.
  • "We therefore call on governments to boycott the Beijing 2022 Games — anything less will be seen as an endorsement of the Chinese Communist Party's authoritarian rule and blatant disregard for civil and human rights." — A coalition of more than 180 human rights groups, in a letter to the International Olympic Committee.
  • "The IOC's failure to publicly confront Beijing's serious human rights violations makes a mockery of its own commitments and claims that the Olympics are a 'force for good.'" — Sophie Richardson, China director at Human Rights Watch.
  • "We must boycott the 2022 Winter Olympics in China. It would be a terrible loss for our athletes, but that must be weighed against the genocide occurring in China and the prospect that empowering China will lead to even greater horrors down the road." — Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.
  • "To be clear, I do not support a boycott. Boycotting these games will only hurt athletes who have spent their lives training to represent their country on the international stage. Instead, it should be the position of all democratic nations that the IOC can and should move the 2022 Games to a nation that respects human rights." — U.S. Senator Rick Scott, in a letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
  • "This is not about 'opposing views' between countries. There is no room for a middle ground. Either you make yourself an accomplice by closing your eyes, or you stand up for the values that are close to your heart — such as freedom and democracy." — Glacier Kwong, a human rights activist from Hong Kong who is currently residing in Germany.

A growing number of Western lawmakers and human rights groups are calling for a boycott of the next Winter Olympics, set to take place in Beijing in February 2022.

The calls for a boycott have come in response to burgeoning evidence of human rights abuses against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, a remote autonomous region in northwestern China. Human rights experts say that at least one million Muslims are being detained in hundreds of internment camps, where they are subject to torture, mass rapes, forced labor and sterilizations.

Anger is also simmering over China's political repression in Hong Kong, Tibet and Inner Mongolia; its increased intimidation of Taiwan; its threats to its other neighbors; as well as its continued lack of transparency over the origins of the Coronavirus pandemic, which has resulted in the deaths of more than three million people around the world, according Johns Hopkins University.

Boycott options include: 1) moving the Winter Olympics to another country; 2) an athletic boycott — prohibiting athletes from participating in the Games; 3) a diplomatic boycott — barring senior political representatives from travelling to Beijing to attend the opening ceremony; 4) an economic boycott — pressuring multinational corporations to cancel multi-million dollar Olympic sponsorship deals; or 5) a media boycott — limiting television coverage of the Games, thus depriving China of an important propaganda tool in the West.

Regardless of what transpires, China's human rights record is sure to be the focus of increased scrutiny during the months leading...

Buttigieg wants a mileage tax placed on struggling Americans

Incoming Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg appears to think it’s a good idea to tax Americans for the number of miles they drive. It is a policy he endorsed as a Democratic presidential candidate.

The Biden Administration is actively searching for ways to fund its ambitious $1 trillion infrastructure plan. Buttigieg, the former ineffective mayor of South Bend, Ind., couldn’t even keep the potholes filled.

Why doesn’t each state pay for its infrastructure problems? This is another bailout. It’s not like the road projects of the 1950s. These are to shore up irresponsible states who don’t take care of their infrastructure.

This is as businesses, Americans, the tourist industry, and so on, are struggling. Democrats will tax anything that moves or doesn’t move. We are getting taxed from every angle for everything we do in every way possible and these politicians just keep spending with no sign of stopping.

The Democrats are talking about congestion taxing, raising tolls, and gas prices are going to go up as Biden’s team is crashing the energy sector.

‘It’s unacceptable’: Six Republican senators vote ‘no’ on monstrosity COVID bill negotiated in secret

Senators Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Ted Crux (R-Texas) ripped the process by which the just-passed $2.3 trillion spending and COVID relief measure was devised and written in justifying their opposition to it.

“Tonight, badly-needed #COVID19 relief was tied to a $1.4T end-of-year spending monstrosity because three times Democrats rejected good faith efforts to pass targeted legislation that would have helped Americans hurting as a result of the pandemic,” Cruz wrote Monday.

“Simply put, Democrats exploited the need for relief to advance their political agenda instead of working on standalone legislation months ago that would put our nation on the path to recovery,” Cruz, one of six GOP senators who voted against the pork-filled measure, wrote on Twitter Monday.

“That’s wrong and the exact opposite of what the American people need right now,” he added.

In addition to Lee and Cruz, Sens. Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.), Ron Johnson (Wis.), Rand Paul (Ky.), and Rick Scott (Fla.), all voted ‘no’ on the measure. Two other Republicans, Sens. Mike Enzi (Wyoming), and Mike Rounds (S.D.), did not vote.

The legislation combined a $1.4 trillion omnibus spending bill to fund the government for the fiscal year and $900 billion in new COVID-19 relief.

“This is the spending bill under consideration in Congress today,” Lee wrote in a Twitter thread Monday evening, just a few hours before Congress was scheduled to vote on it. “I received it just moments ago, and will likely be asked to vote on it late tonight. It’s 5,593 pages long.I know there are some good things in it. I’m equally confident that there are...

Democrats Spent $104.1 Million Losing to Lindsey Graham, Most Expensive Loss in Senate History

Democrat Jaime Harrison spent $104.1 million in his unsuccessful bid to unseat Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), the most expensive loss in the history of the U.S. Senate.

Harrison shattered fundraising records, as Democrats from across the nation poured money into the race in an effort to punish Graham for his role in confirming conservative Supreme Court justices.

Earlier on Election Day, Fox News summarized the numbers:
Harrison announced a record-breaking fundraising haul of $57 million on October 11 for the third quarter of the election cycle. The previous quarterly record — $38 million — was held by former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke in his losing 2018 Senate bid against Republican Sen. Ted Cruz.

Harrison has also now both raised and spent more than $100 million overall, by far the most of any Senate candidate in American history. He raked in $107.6 million in donations, but his campaign spent almost as much, doling out $104.1 million. The previous spending record was set in 2018 by Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., with $85 million, though much of that total was self-funded.
As Harrison appeared to inch closer to Graham, the three-term veteran became a ubiquitous presence on social media and conservative talk shows, warning (correctly) that liberals were raising massive sums of money to...

Nancy Pelosi Unveils $3 Trillion, 1,815-Page Leftist Coronavirus Bill

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) unveiled her $3 trillion phase four coronavirus bill on Tuesday that serves as a “policy wishlist” for Democrats and progressives.

Pelosi unveiled the Heroes Act, which is a 1,815-page bill that the House will likely vote on Tuesday.

The legislation was not negotiated with congressional Republicans or the Donald Trump administration, and even if it passes through the House, it will likely languish in the Senate.

Politico reported in May that the legislation serves as more of a wishlist for the House Democrat conference’s most progressive lawmakers.

Politico wrote:
Privately, several House Democrats concede their latest bill feels like little more than an effort to appease the most liberal members of the caucus, many of whom were chafed that their most important priorities were minimized or ignored entirely in previous coronavirus negotiations.
The Heroes Act reportedly contains many leftist provisions in the bill, including:

  • $755 million for the government for Washington, DC. The bill would also allow the D.C. government to participate in the Federal Reserve’s Municipal Liquidity (MLF) to support additional lending to the city.
  • $1 million for the National Science Foundation to study the spread of coronavirus-related “disinformation.”
  • $10 million for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) as well as $10 million fo the National Endowment for the Humanities.
  • Eliminates limitations on the federal deduction for the state and local taxes (SALT). Republicans limited this deduction through the Trump Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The SALT deduction primarily benefits wealthy, largely Democrat states.
  • Grants additional aid for State and local government bailouts. The bill contains $500 billion in funding for state government relief and $375 billion in aid to local governments. Senate Republicans such as Sens. Rick Scott (R-FL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) have contended this will particularly aid fiscally irresponsible blue states such as California, New York, and Illinois to the detriment of more fiscally responsible states such as Texas and Florida.
  • $25 million for migrant and seasonal farmworkers, including emergency support services through the Department of Labor.
  • $1.7 billion for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Serving Institutions, $20 million for Howard University, $11 million for Gallaudet University, $11 million for the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.
  • $15 million to maintain operations, rental assistance supportive services, and other actions to mitigate the impact on low-income people with HIV/AIDS through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
  • Create a two month special enrollment period for Obamacare. The bill also extends full premium subsidies to allow workers to maintain their health insurance coverage through COBRA.
  • Allows Attorney General William Barr to make grants to states to create state-run hate crime reporting hotlines.
  • Relief for up to $10,000 of up-front debt relief for all Department of Education loan borrowers.
  • Authorizes up to $50 million in Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) “environmental justice” grants to investigate or address the disproportionate impact of coronavirus in environmental communities.
  • $75 billion for housing assistance.
  • Mandatory early voting for every state and mandatory mail-in ballots for every state. Nate Madden, a press secretary for the House Oversight Committee Republicans, said it would be a “nightmare scenario for voter fraud.”
  • Allows wealthy people who make money from dividends and royalties to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit, which is designed for lower-income Americans.
  • Extends assistance designed for nonprofits to political action groups and chamber of commerce-style associations. Open Markets Institute fellow Matt Stoller called it a “corporate lobbyist bailout.”

Pelosi’s Heroes Act represents a staggering amount of spending.

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) noted that the bill has “70 appropriations in excess of a billion dollars each.”

Norman asked rhetorically, “When you walk out of secret negotiations with an 1800 page, $3 trillion bill that thas no chance of becoming law, why is that portrayed as...

Report: 6 Saudis Detained After Pensacola Shooting, Including 3 Who Filmed Attack

Six Saudi nationals, including three who allegedly filmed Friday’s attack on Naval Air Station Pensacola, were reportedly detained after the shooting.

Breitbart News reported that a gunman opened fire at the air station Friday morning, killing three and wounding numerous others.

The Associated Press reports that the Pensacola gunman was an aviation student from Saudi Arabia, and NBC News reports that the gunman’s name was Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani.

Now the New York Times reports that six other Saudis were detained after the shooting and three of those six allegedly filmed the shooting as it unfolded in Pensacola.

The shooter was reportedly at the Pensacola to train. Former Gov. Rick Scott, currently Sen. Scott (R-FL), expressed concern that the Saudi attacker was in Pensacola training on a U.S. base:

I'm very concerned that the shooter in Pensacola was a foreign national training on a US base.

Today, I’m calling for a full review of the US military programs to train foreign nationals on American soil. We shouldn't be providing military training to people who wish us harm.

The SITE Intelligence Group, which monitors jihadist media, identified the gunman as Mohammed al-Shamrani, saying he had posted a short manifesto on Twitter that read: “I’m against evil, and America as a whole has turned into a nation of evil.”
