PIERS MORGAN: Ricky Gervais delivered a glorious kick in the globes to Hollywood's woke virtue-signalling hypocrites - and exposed them as a bunch of shameless two-faced charlatans

They'd come to slap each other's backs and feel virtuous about themselves.

Very, very virtuous.

The world's biggest stars - not least in their own mirrors - flocked to Sunday night's Golden Globes to show us all how woke, worthy and wonderful they are. And, of course, to attack their go-to punchbag President Trump.

Meat was even banned from their dinner tables to illustrate just how much these kind-hearted celebrities care about the environment.

'See, we're saving the planet!' was the proud collective message, spoken by multi-millionaire actors and actresses who'd flown to Los Angeles in their private jets and been driven to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in stretch limousines.

Who cares about such massive gas-guzzling carbon footprints when they're making the ultimate sacrifice of swapping their steaks for 'vibrant chilled golden beet soup', 'King Oyster mushroom scallops risotto' and a vegan opera dome dessert'?

But these selfless do-gooders left three hours later feeling abused, insulted, broken and shell-shocked thanks to a host who couldn't give a damn about their hurt feelings.

They can't say they weren't warned.

'It's a room full of the biggest virtue-signalers and hypocrites in the world,' Ricky Gervais had said in a pre-Globes interview with the Spectator magazine, 'so I've got to go after that'.

And go after that he most definitely did, like a ravenous jackal gorging on the tortured entrails of freshly-slain rabbits stuck in headlights.

Gervais's opening monologue at last night's Globes in Los Angeles only lasted seven minutes and 42 seconds.

But that was more than long enough for him to punch a gigantic crater in the absurdly two-faced PC-crazed balloon that infests modern...

‘South Park’ Skewers LeBron James over China Controversy

South Park tore into NBA superstar LeBron James just days after the Los Angeles Lakers player criticized Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey’s as “uniformed” for his seven-word tweet showing support for the pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong.

The satire-heavy episode titled “Let Them Eat Goo” sees Cartman have a heart attack after he learns that the “sloppy Joe Day” lunch meal at South Park Elementary is actually fish. Turns out, “the girls” wanted “healthier options and food for those who don’t eat red meat.”

“Their protesting [of red meat] is ruining my lunch. Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you are not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself,” a wheelchair-bound Cartman says, echoing LeBron James’ China comments word for word. “They’re trying to change peoples’ lunch. They don’t realize it harms people financially, physically, emotionally, spiritually.”

The climate change and plant-based food phenomenon bashing episode skewers Burger King’s vegan “Impossible Burger.”

Since making his comments, LeBron James has been slammed by pundits on the right and on the left. The NBA champion endorsed Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign, has slammed President Donald Trump as a “bum” and the president’s supporters as “uneducated” but dodged direct questions on Tuesday about the human rights atrocities perpetuated by the Chinese government — James insisted that basketball player are “not politicians.”

Last week, the long-running Comedy Central show saw lead character Randy Marsh say “fuck the Chinese government” after the communist country banned South Park and...

UPDATE!: Thousands to attend BBQ outside home of vegan who sued neighbors over smelly meats

Thousands of people are roasting an Australian vegan who took her neighbors to court over the smell of meat and fish from their barbecue — by planning a massive cookout outside her home.

Cilla Carden made headlines this week for her legal beef, in which she claimed the odors from her neighbors’ barbecues had destroyed her quality of life, 9News reported.

Now more than 3,000 people are planning to attend a cookout outside her Perth home, organized on a Facebook page called “Community BBQ for Cilla Carden.”

“Don’t let Cilla destroy a good old Aussie tradition, join us for a community BBQ, and help Cilla Carden GET SOME PORK ON HER FORK,” the event description reads.

The barbecue is scheduled for Oct. 19 — and vegans are not welcome, the page says.

Carden’s legal battle with her neighbors began last year. Her complaint was tossed out of court earlier this year, and she filed an appeal. The appeal was also rejected in...

Unhappy Vegan demands neighbor stop cooking barbecues

A Perth vegan has taken her neighbours all the way to the Supreme Court, demanding they stop smoking, bouncing balls and even cooking barbecues in the backyard.

Cilla Carden, from Girrawheen, in Perth's northern suburbs said she's fed up with the smell of meat cooking on the barbecue next door.

"They've put it there so I smell fish, all I can smell is fish. I can't enjoy my backyard, I can't go out there."

Ms Carden, a massage therapist, is also furious at cigarette smoke wafting into her yard and the sound of children playing with basketballs next door.

"It's been devastating, it's been turmoil, it's been unrest, I haven't been able to sleep," she said.

But one neighbour invited 9News into the backyard, to show that he's removed the barbecue and told his children to stop playing basketball.

Ms Carden is so upset she
has taken her neighbours to the State Administrative Tribunal and the Supreme Court.

"It's deliberate, that's what I told the courts, its deliberate."
But a Supreme Court Judge and the State Administrative Tribunal have sided with her neighbours, dismissing her case.

Her request to appeal the decisions has also been refused.

Ms Carden says she won't give up on her fight and will...

#MeToo Cow insemination is rape, milking is sexual assault says researcher

A research paper currently being pushed by a researcher at the College of Brockport Gender Studies program wants society — feminists — to talk about the unseemly “sexual exploitation” of dairy cows in order to “fully fight gendered oppression.”

The author claims the dairy industry is rife with ‘sex-based discrimination’ (of cows), and compares insemination of the cattle to “rape.” The milking of cows is, of course, “sexual assault.”

This isn’t satire, so be careful, if you start buying into this, you too could be assimilated.

According to Campus Reform:

A paper currently being promoted by a New York University calls on society to consider the rampant “sexual exploitation” of dairy cows by the milk industry in order to “fully fight gendered oppression.”

Specifically, the author compares cattle insemination to “rape” and the milking of cows to “sexual abuse.” The researcher believes “the dairy industry is a host for sex-based discrimination.”

Titled “Readying the Rape Rack: Feminism and the Exploitation of Non-Human Reproductive Systems,” the paper was published Friday in a journal called Dissenting Voices, which is published and edited by the Women’s and Gender Studies program at the College at Brockport State University of New York.

The published piece aims at discussing the “sexual exploitation of non-human bodies, specifically dairy cows.” The author notes that “as a vegan and animal rights activist,” she feels compelled to reveal the “feminist aspects of animal agriculture,” a topic she says is unfortunately “under-researched,” but is nonetheless important because “the same way women’s health has been at stake for years, a dairy cow’s reproductive system has been poked and prodded.”

According to the publication, “the dairy industry is a host for sex-based discrimination,” and a “site where sexual assault and objectification based on...

CLEMSON QUARTERBACK TREVOR LAWRENCE RESPONDS TO FAKE VIRAL TWEET ABOUT WHITE HOUSE VISIT

Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence had to let people know there was a little fake news circulating about him online.

Following Lawrence’s trip Monday night to the White House with Clemson, a quote attributed to him and trashing liberals was making the rounds. According to CollegeFootballTalk, the now deleted tweet read, “President Trump got all our favorite foods, it was the best meal we ever had. Then we go and see the coastal elite media trashing it for not being organic vegan. We’re football players, not bloggers. This was a perfect blue collar party.”

Lawrence responded Tuesday afternoon on Twitter by stating, “I never said this by the way… I don’t know where it came from. However the trip to the White House was awesome!”

Seriously, how dumb do you have to be in order to believe Lawrence’s response to going to the White House was to trash the “coastal elite media” and talk about a blue collar party?

It’s like something I might fire up as quote after a handful of Miller Lites as a joke. In fact, I showed the fake quote to somebody last night, and their first response was to say that it sounded like something I had made up as a joke.

It’s so clearly fake that I don’t even know where to begin....

SALAD IS MURDER!!!!

Gardeners who talk to their plants are often dismissed as being a little potty,
but now there is evidence that the plants may actually be listening
  • Flowers can hear the buzz of approaching bees, researchers have found
  • Biologists at Tel Aviv University found flowers respond by making sweeter nectar
  • The study, published on the website BioRxiv, said it was the first evidence that plants can respond to sounds in ‘an ecologically relevant way'

Gardeners who talk to their plants are often dismissed as being a little potty, but now there is evidence that the plants may actually be listening.

Flowers not only hear the buzz of approaching bees, but respond by producing sweeter nectar, biologists at Tel Aviv University have found.

This entices the bees to visit more often, increasing the chance of the plant’s pollen being distributed.

When the scientists played recordings of flying bees to evening primrose flowers, the sugar concentration in the nectar rose by an average 20 per cent within three minutes....

Being Vegan Makes You Mentally Disabled, Warns Top Danish Doctor

“Such a diet may involve developing different brain symptoms."

The chief physician at a leading hospital in Denmark has warned that being vegan can cause mental disabilities and other disorders.

Dr. Allan Lund of Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen highlighted the risks of a vegan lifestyle for young people in an appearance last week on Danish TV.

“Such a diet may involve developing different brain symptoms, with muscle weakness, poor contact, and epilepsy,” he told TV4. "And in the long term mental retardation."

According to Lund, his hospital has recently treated a number of vegan kids with such problems.

The news program aired amid a national debate in Denmark over the growing phenomenon of parents putting their children on a plant-based diet.

Lunds' medical opinion will likely come as no surprise to some Americans. Last week, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, an animal rights group that advocates veganism, tweeted out a chart of common sayings that it deemed "anti-animal" and so forbidden.

Amid widespread mockery of the PETA's intellect, it followed-up by explicitly comparing animal rights to those of African-Americans and gays, effectively one-upping its attempt days earlier to co-opt feminism.

The United States also has its fair share of progressive parenting trends ― from empowering children to pick their gender to teaching them social media values ― that may or may not be good for American youth.

To be fair: Research suggests that Americans' animal-products-heavy diet is less than ideal for their health or the environment. Plus, there are the moral arguments that eating animals is wrong.

However, even most liberals ― who by the way, tend to look to Denmark as an example ― continue to acknowledge the virtues of meat and to reject...
