What If North Korea Did Not Hack Sony Pictures, And It Was China, Russia, Iran Or Syria...
North Korea has shown in the past that they have the cyber warfare capability to pull this off, but what if another country simply wanted to make it look like it was North Korea? There are plenty of countries that would like the attention turned away from them.
Russia certainly has a motive, they are having severe problems right now, Syria would be happy to split American attention away from them, Iran wants American attention to not be on their nuclear program and China has long fermented strife between North Korea and the U.S.. All of these countries have shown in the past they have cyber attack capabilities.
If this was not North Korea then the Feds already know it.
