Is Donald Trump Today’s ‘Citizen Kane’? ‘Citizen Trump’ Film Suggests Yes
Through the lens of the 1941 classic 'Citizen Kane,' a documentary filmmaker seeks to understand the life journey of President Trump and his successful venture into politics.
In a culture that follows President Donald Trump’s every move, word, and tweet, few of even his core supporters could name the film he considers most significant. Repeatedly, in separate interviews over the decades, the now-leader of the free world has named 1941 cinematic masterpiece “Citizen Kane” as his favorite movie.
Several observers have noted parallels between Trump’s public persona and the fictional plot: A man of great charisma rises from obscurity into wealth and power, first through popular media, then as a political candidate. Back in 2002, Trump commented on the classic film’s message. “I think you learn in ‘Kane’ that maybe wealth isn’t everything,” he said. “Because he had the wealth, but he didn’t have the happiness.”
On Sept. 7, filmmaker Robert Orlando releases “Citizen Trump,” a feature-length documentary that examines the life and rise of the man who today dominates national politics. “Since my years in film school, I’ve been trained to see nuances in this drama,” said Orlando in a phone interview. “Watching ‘Citizen Kane’ again this spring during the lockdown, it struck me how much the sequencing of this narrative matched up with the rise of Donald Trump.”
Several movies with a political bent have come out recently or are set to be released soon. “Unfit: The Psychology of Donald Trump” intends to rev up the leftist base, while “Trump 2024” and Dinesh D’souza’s “Trump Card” make the case for a second term. FRANCE’S ERIC ZEMMOUR ON MIGRANT CRISIS: ‘WE KNOW WHO THE SAVAGERY COMES FROM’ DESPITE MEDIA COVER-UP
In this RAIR exclusively translated video, French philosopher and journalist Eric Zemmour appeared on the program Face à l’Info to discusses the epidemic of migrants and their children who commit violent crimes:
We all know who commits these assaults. We all know who ran over the Gendarme Melanie. We all know who killed the bus driver in Bayonne. We know who breaks everything at amusement parks. We know who spoils the beaches of Marseille. We know who is forbidden in a swimming pool in Switzerland. We know all that. Unfortunately, for the French who are living with this type of violence and thuggery on a daily basis, reporting truthfully about increasingly brazen migrant crime is one of those areas where the mainstream media is absent, the government will prosecute you and your life will be threatened.
Zemmour has been physically threatened, attacked, had hauled into court many times in the recent past and has had to pay heavy fines for criticizing Islamic migration and the dangerous Islamization of France.
Zemmour, is an Algerian-born French Jew, a best-selling author, journalist, lecturer and the most famous conservative intellectual in France. Despite Zemmour having faced endless persecution by the French government for not only his views on Islam and immigration but, feminism, homosexuality, and the preservation of western civilization yet, he continues to speak out.

In Sweden Muslim immigrant criminals are as young as eight years old
According to information from the Swedish police, during Operation Rimfrost, 80 children between the ages of eight and fourteen were discovered to have committed robbery. The police initiative was launched to crackdown on gang-related crime.
Since 2019, when Operation Rimfrost was launched as a result of a national incident where a 15-year-old immigrant boy was murdered in Malmö at Möllevångstorget, the police in Malmö have tried to gain access to organised crime and gangs. But as a side aspect, it has also been possible to identify 80 children between the ages of 8 and 14 who had engaged in robberies in the Skåne region alone.
“It is younger people who, usually in groups, take a jacket, bicycle, moped or a mobile phone,” Stefan Sintéus, chief of police in Malmö, told P4 Malmöhus. “It is depressing that such young people are out there up to no good,” he added.
For many of the youngsters who eventually get caught up in the criminal world, it is from an early age that they start committing crimes. It is often glorified ghetto culture and the hatred of ethnic Swedes that drives them, as several studies have shown. In the eyes of many of the youthful criminals, it is also a fight against Swedes.
“When we are out on the town and stealing, we fight, we fight against the Swedes!” said immigrant boys interviewed by researcher Petra Åkesson in 2005. The phenomenon is not unknown, but is often ignored in the mainstream media and even played down by the police.
According to Erik Nord, area manager for the police in Gothenburg, it is, for example, “boredom” that causes immigrant gangs to humiliate young Swedes and rob them. “The perpetrators see it as an occupation, that they are bored and take the opportunity to rob and humiliate,” Erik Nord told TT.
But what starts as theft and robbery often escalates rapidly as more contacts are made with older criminals and once the road is paved, there remain but a few opportunities to break the trend.
“These are the initial crimes for eventually being allowed to sell drugs on behalf of someone else, or simply keep a weapon, become a transporter or an errand boy,” Sintéus told P4 Malmöhus.
Operation Rimfrost has sadly been a failure – the number of shootings and deaths during the first four months of the year have remained unchanged. At the start of the year, Stefan Hector, the national commander of the operation admitted at a media briefing in Malmö that gang crime was a problem “you can’t really solve because it’s composed of so many complex elements that the police do not influence”.

Party’s Over: Trump Orders Purge of ‘Critical Race Theory’ from Federal Agencies
At the direction of President Trump, the White House Office of Management and Budget will move to identify and eliminate any trace of “critical race theory” in the federal government.
Critical race theory is the leftist, racist doctrine that forms the intellectual underpinnings of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other radical organizations currently engaged in unrest on America’s streets.
It alleges, among other things, that the United States is a white supremacist country, and that all white people are guilty of racism, whether they intend it or not.
President Trump has brought the issue of far-left indoctrination to the forefront of the national conversation in recent months. It was a major theme of the President’s Independence Day speech at Mt. Rushmore, in which he condemned far-left theories that “defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children.”
Russ Vought, director of the Office of Management and Budget, announced on Twitter that the Trump administration will bring any dabbling in such theories by the federal government to a swift end.
“The days of taxpayer funded indoctrination trainings that sow division and racism are over,” said Vought. “Under the direction of [President Trump], we are directing agencies to halt critical race theory trainings immediately.”
