Joy Reid: Not Only Are Conservatives Terrorists, But They Want to Kill Your Kids with Covid

On Wednesday night’s ReidOut, MSNBC’s Joy Reid decided to double down on her poisonous narrative that not only are right-of-center Americans bad people, but they’re murderous terrorists. Along with a series of like-minded guests, Reid insisted these conspiracy theory-laden savages want to overthrow the government while having their Covid-infected children flood schools.

This came after a deranged Tuesday episode that posited that Governors Greg Abbott (R-TX) and Ron DeSantis (R-FL) are purposefully killing their citizens with Covid.

Reid’s A-block touched on the three year anniversary of the deadly events in Charlottesville, Virginia, but the actions of those individuals were quickly branded as representing the core of the American right and the 74 million Americans that voted for Donald Trump in 2020.

She told Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and MSNBC contributor Malcolm Nance that the GOP’s “harboring” an “insurgency and it is a white nationalist insurgency, let's just be blunt.”

After a clip smearing Tucker Carlson, Reid asked Swalwell if he “feel[s] comfortable and safe working with” Republicans “who at minimum are willing to live with that kind of fascism and white nationalism.” For the record, the House Republican caucus was 212 (and 210 if you take out Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger).

Swalwell took the divisive and dangerous route, telling viewers that the presence of people with an R next to their name make him feel unsafe and that’s why he won’t be “working with them.” He also went onto accuse the GOP writ large of believing that vaccines are ineffective and thus promulgating murder.

Reid agreed, saying the GOP “is an insurgency and is housing an insurgency” while the Democrats make up “a normal political party.”

Reid then gave the floor to Nance, who validated what conservative author and podcast host Ben Shapiro told him on HBO, which was that the far-left partisan has a penchant for ascribing the worst possible motives to tens of millions of...

If You Build It, They Will Come: Apple Has Opened the Backdoor to Increased Surveillance and Censorship Around the World

Apple’s new program for scanning images sent on iMessage steps back from the company’s prior support for the privacy and security of encrypted messages. The program, initially limited to the United States, narrows the understanding of end-to-end encryption to allow for client-side scanning. While Apple aims at the scourge of child exploitation and abuse, the company has created an infrastructure that is all too easy to redirect to greater surveillance and censorship. The program will undermine Apple’s defense that it can’t comply with the broader demands.

For years, countries around the world have asked for access to and control over encrypted messages, asking technology companies to “nerd harder” when faced with the pushback that access to messages in the clear was incompatible with strong encryption. The Apple child safety message scanning program is currently being rolled out only in the United States.

The United States has not been shy about seeking access to encrypted communications, pressuring the companies to make it easier to obtain data with warrants and to voluntarily turn over data. However, the U.S. faces serious constitutional issues if it wanted to pass a law that required warrantless screening and reporting of content. Even if conducted by a private party, a search ordered by the government is subject to the Fourth Amendment’s protections. Any “warrant” issued for suspicionless mass surveillance would be an unconstitutional general warrant. As the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has explained, "Search warrants . . . are fundamentally offensive to the underlying principles of the Fourth Amendment when they are so bountiful and expansive in their language that they constitute a virtual, all-encompassing dragnet[.]" With this new program, Apple has failed to hold a strong policy line against U.S. laws undermining encryption, but there remains a constitutional backstop to some of the worst excesses. But U.S constitutional protection may not necessarily be replicated in...

DHS Uses Small Texas Airport to Disperse Illegal Immigrants Released from Detention

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is quietly using a small regional airport in central Texas to disperse large groups of illegal immigrants throughout the U.S. after releasing them from detention facilities in other parts of the state, city and federal sources confirm. Local authorities in the city where this is occurring, Abilene, are being kept in the dark and a federal lawmaker is demanding an end to the “reckless and irresponsible practice” as well as answers from DHS after a series of local news reports exposed the covert operation.

Abilene is located about 180 miles west of Dallas and has a population of around 120,000. The area’s airport is run by the city and its transportation director reveals in a news story that local officials are not aware of what exactly is going on with the illegal immigrant flights. The airport is only given 24 to 48 hours of notice before flights arrive, according to Abilene Director of Transportation Don Green, who verifies the planes are private charters from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the DHS agency in charge. The Texas news conglomerate, which also publishes reports in Spanish, writes that it “shot video of strange activity at the airport” and includes the footage on its website. It shows immigrants exiting unmarked planes, getting frisked, then boarding buses. Some footage includes buses arriving at the airport where immigrants are seen getting off and boarding planes to different parts of the U.S.

Republican Jodey Arrington, who represents the area in the U.S. House, says the flights have been coming into Abilene Airport for some time and his office has contacted ICE for more information but the agency has essentially blown him off. The congressman also reveals that he has called numerous local officials and not one has been notified by the federal government of the covert ICE operations at Abilene Airport. That includes county commissioners, judges, city mayors and state legislators who are being kept in the dark by ICE and DHS about the activity. In response to the news organization’s inquiry, ICE issued a statement saying that Abilene Airport is used to facilitate detainee transfers in accordance with operational needs and assures the agency is “committed to ensuring that all those in our custody reside in safe, secure, and humane environments and under appropriate conditions of...

Hunter Biden claimed Russians stole another one of his laptops for blackmail while he was close to overdosing in a Las Vegas hotel room, DailyMail.com can reveal.

The alleged incident would mean Hunter lost a total of three computers - the first abandoned at a Delaware computer store and the second seized by federal agents - each likely to hold sensitive information on President Joe Biden and the embarrassing pictures, videos and communications of his son.

The third laptop still appears to be missing – and was taken by Russian drug dealers after they partied with Hunter in Vegas, he told a prostitute in a conversation caught on camera.

After filming himself having sex with the woman using his laptop in January 2019, Hunter left the camera rolling as he recounted a Vegas bender in which he spent '18 days going round from penthouse suite to penthouse suite,' sometimes costing $10,000 a night.

'I spent f***ing crazy amounts of money,' Hunter said. 'I was with these guys. The one guy was, not like you anyway… each night he'd be like 'there's going to be so many people here, crazy f***ing party' and each night it's nobody.'

Silenced! What’s Happening Now in Cuba?

Are they still protesting in Cuba?

I don’t know.

The Cuban government has shut off the Cuban people’s internet.

The big demonstrations began four weeks ago, sparked, curiously, by a rap song. The key lyric is: “Freedom! No more Doctrine!”

“Doctrine” refers to the “constant cycle of propaganda” from the government, explains Cuban emigre Alian Collazo in my newest video.

Sadly, silly TV reporters in America claimed the protests were about “hunger, pandemic restrictions and the lack of COVID vaccinations,” or, according to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, “food and fuel shortages.”

“Nonsense!” says Collazo. The cause is clear. “The protesters were yelling, ‘Down with communism!’ and ‘Libertad! Liberty!'”

Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed: “They are protesting the lack of materials during the pandemic, particularly the lack of medical supplies.”

Collazo is bewildered.

“She speaks Spanish! Can she not listen to what the Cuban people are saying? ‘Libertad’ means ‘freedom’!”

It’s true that Cubans want food, she says, “but if you don’t have liberty, you don’t have food.”

Some people say Cubans lack food because of what Ocasio-Cortez calls America’s “absurdly cruel” embargo.

The embargo is absurd and counterproductive.

But that misses the point.

“Do research on what the embargo is! Medicine, food, and all of that can be traded,” says Collazo.

Yes, they can. America exempts food and medicine from its embargo.

Also, at least 80 other countries do trade with Cuba.

The real reason for shortages and suffering in Cuba is communism.

“When the government controls your business,” says Collazo, “people don’t have food. All resources end up in the hands of the state.”

Other American “useful idiots,” like Michael Moore, praise Cuba’s “free” services.

In his documentary “Sicko,” Moore took a group of Americans to a Cuban hospital and celebrated how they were given free health care.

But Collazo points out that “free” is misleading. “Go to a hospital in Cuba—they don’t even have aspirin! Yeah, [health care’s] free. [But] it’s horrible.”

When the recent protests began, a reporter asked President Joe Biden’s press secretary, Jen Psaki, “Do you think that people are leaving Cuba because they don’t like communism?” She responded, “They are opposed to the oppression [and] mismanagement of the government.”

She wouldn’t condemn communism by name.

Fortunately, a few days later, her boss did. “Communism is a failed system, a universally failed system,” said Biden. “I don’t see socialism as a very useful...
