Customs and Border Protection To Host ‘Unconscious Bias’ Seminar During Immigration Crisis

Amid an immigration crisis, Customs and Border Protection this month is offering a seminar on "unconscious bias" for all staff.

According to an internal memo obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, CBP will on Dec. 10 host a "virtual discussion" between a senior Border Patrol official and Susan Fleming, a self-described expert in "gender bias," on the topic of "the impact of stereotypes and unconscious biases in the workplace." Attendance is optional for all staff.

The discussion "will draw on academic research, business experience, and unique perspectives to explore the complex web of beliefs and biases that influence our interactions with colleagues, as well as discussing strategies for individuals and organizations to start overcoming unconscious biases," the memo reads.

The emphasis on diversity and equity throughout the Department of Homeland Security began shortly after the last presidential election, with the agency on Dec. 31, 2020, releasing its "Inclusive Diversity Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2021-2024." The Free Beacon last month reported on an internal memo from DHS that outlines the department's priorities for the 2022 fiscal year. Chief among those was "diversity, equity, and inclusion" (DEI), which ranked above "customer experience" and "cybersecurity."

Staff within the agency say political appointees have a near obsession with new DEI initiatives, even as the country sees an all-time high number of illegal immigrants attempting to enter the country. The 2021 fiscal year saw more migrants apprehended at the southern border than any year on record.

"CBP doesn't have the people to properly patrol our nation's borders but we do have the time to step away from work hours to have a conversation on ‘unconscious bias,'" a senior DHS official told the Free Beacon.

The official noted the planned attendance of CBP acting commissioner Troy Miller as evidence of how the embrace of DEI initiatives comes from the most senior levels of the agency. Miller will be soon replaced by former Tucson police chief Chris Magnus, a champion of softer policing tactics and more liberal immigration policies such as "sanctuary cities."

VAERS Data Indicates the Covid Vaccines Have Killed A Minimum Of 140,000 Americans...

To get an idea of just how dangerous the current Covid vaccines are, we only need to look at the numbers in the government authorized VAERS database.

As you may know, VAERS is an acronym for Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. This system is co-maintained by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This is how the FDA describes this facility on its website:

“VAERS is an early warning system used to monitor adverse events that happen after vaccination. VAERS is the frontline system of a comprehensive vaccine safety monitoring program in the United States… VAERS gives vaccine safety experts valuable information so they can assess possible vaccine safety concerns, including the new COVID-19 vaccines. It is especially useful for detecting unusual or unexpected patterns of health problems (also called “adverse events”) that might indicate a possible safety problem with a vaccine.”

Established in 1990, the idea behind VAERS is to capture as many adverse reactions to vaccines as possible in order to alert health experts to potential issues and problems.

The graph below traces the number of deaths that have been reported to VAERS every year since its inception. As you can see, the yearly levels have held relatively steady from 1990 until 2020 and were generally under 400 cases. The cumulative total of all reported deaths during those years comes to 5,178 (see VAERS analysis here).

This, however, changed dramatically toward the end of 2020 when the Covid vaccines were introduced. At that point we see a rapid explosion in reported deaths. So exponential was the increase that the graph line shoots up almost vertically.

As of November 26, 2021, the number of deaths reported to VAERS in connection with the Covid vaccines was 19,532. It is both astonishing and revealing that in the last 11 months there were more reports of vaccine deaths related to Covid shots than to all other vaccines combined during the previous three decades.

This should raise all kinds of red flags, because it is a good indication that there may be something seriously wrong with the Covid vaccines, and that these hastily authorized pharmaceuticals are causing death on an unprecedented scale.

The 19,532 tally does not, however, give us an accurate picture of the situation. To get a sense of the true state affairs, this number needs to be adjusted for two very important factors. The first concerns the nature of VAERS data itself, while the second relates to the way in which it is collected.

Adjustment for causality

To begin with, we need to recognize that not all deaths reported to VAERS are due to the vaccines. To see why, we need understand the difference between a temporal and causal connection. Even though the bulk of reported deaths normally occur within a relatively short time of vaccination – usually from days to weeks – it does not necessarily mean that all those who have died after having taken the vaccine perished because of it. In some cases, people who appear among VAERS entries died of causes unrelated to the vaccine, and they just happened to receive their injections in temporal proximity of their passing.

In order not to overstate the case when considering VAERS data, it is, therefore, important to keep in mind that reported cases do not necessarily imply causality. The question, then, becomes in what proportion of VAERS entries a causal link can be established.

To help us make this assessment we use the findings of a peer-reviewed study which examined this issue. The title of the study is “Causality Assessment of Adverse Events Reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).” The study was published in 2012 and you can view it at this link at the National Library of Medicine.

“Ended up in the emergency room on Wednesday night after taking the 2nd Pfizer shot,” he wrote. “Diagnosed with Pericarditis. The Dr. said this is now common after the Pfizer shot, especially with teenage boys and young males.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, pericarditis is a condition defined by “swelling and irritation of the thin, saclike tissue surrounding your heart.” Symptoms can include chest pain, coughing, localized swelling and shortness of breath.

Madgen played five seasons in the NBL between 2011 and 2020, according to Basketball Reference. He averaged 14.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game during his NBL career.

By the time Barack Obama left office, every branch of the military was smaller than it had been on September 11. But the change in size concealed the true impact of America’s most left-wing president in undermining our national security and weakening us in the face of our enemies.

"I've got a pen, and I've got a phone,” Obama famously boasted. He used the pen to unleash a blizzard of executive orders and memorandums. Some led to outraged protests, but some of his most devastating penned assaults on our nation’s military flew under the radar.

One of those took place during the end of his last year in office. His memorandum, “Promoting Diversity and Inclusion in the National Security Workforce”, created the woke military of the Biden administration by putting identity politics, diversity quotas, and political indoctrination at the heart of the military’s mission.

Obama had always resented the military. Even former General McChrystal, an Obama loyalist fired for describing his boss a little too aptly in the presence of a Rolling Stone reporter, described him as “uncomfortable and intimidated” by generals. But Obama’s parting shot at the military cut the generals down to size by transforming them into community organizers.

His order redefined diversity as the military’s “greatest asset” and reinvented national security as a system for maximizing employment diversity by race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and every identity politics metric, but not the military metrics that truly mattered, readiness, competence, and a willingness to wage war in defense of the homeland.

Along with transforming the military into another quota-based federal employment agency in which skills and capability mattered much less than being a disabled transgender Eskimo, the order also demanded that national security agencies should make "implicit or unconscious bias" training mandatory for "senior leadership and management positions". Divisions that didn't earn sufficiently high IQ (Inclusion Quotient) scores would also be hit with bias training.

Implicit bias training is a form of political indoctrination which asserts that all white people are racist. Its sessions force participants into accepting its radical racial worldview or be treated as obstacles to the new organizational mission. Implicit bias training has succeeded in forcing out talented executives from corporations and officers from the military, replacing them with political activists and bootlickers cowardly enough to repeat Marxist dogma for the sake of their careers.

Obama’s memorandum led to the expansion of implicit bias within the military such as Army Secretary Eric Fanning’s infamous Directive 2017-06 ordering mandatory implicit bias training for “soldiers and employees in senior leadership and management positions” that was protested by chaplains for infringing on religious freedom. While the Trump administration later ordered a ban on such abusive training in the military, by then Obama’s order had long since been circulating in its cultural and organizational bloodstream, and was quickly restarted by Biden.

Biden’s first executive orders not only rescinded the ban, but doubled down on making the military more woke, more racist towards white Americans, and more incapable than ever.
