He's a fool, but perhaps he has a point. Not that immigrants have more of a stake in their adopted country, but that those who embrace it are often more fervently patriotic than those who have known no other life. Than those who have not travelled to see how much better is life in US than anywhere, Canada better than Western Europe, and any Anglophone nation better than the rest. God grant we preserve it.
