The Murmuration
Ok, this is a very short film so there is no excuse not to watch it. Watch the murmuration, how can you have any pudding if you don't watch the murmuration?
I'm serious, this is absolutely magical, don't miss it.
I grew up on Long Island and in the early '60s I remember how these large flocks of starlings would migrate through and revisit their historical spots for spending the night in a flock. I remember several spots where the droppings were so thick that the road surface below the trees was heavily covered with droppings, nearly obscuring the pavement. I also remember a controversy over ow dangerous spots like that were after a light rains where the avian open air cess pool turned into a slick hazard for unwary drivers as they slid into the large trunks of the very old trees. Many people were agitating for starling genocide!
