Molly Tibbitts, One Of 5000 Americans Murdered By Illegal Aliens Every Year....
That would mean more than half of all murder victims in the United States are killed by illegal aliens. Forgive me if I don't believe it. First of all, only about 20% of all homicide victims in the U.S. are "legit" victims, i.e., victims who are not themselves criminals. ("Today's offender is tomorrow's victim.") Mollie Tibbetts is one of that 20 percent. Since more than half of all homicides are never cleared by arrest (so the killer's identity remains unknown), and more than half of the remainder are killed in drug- or gang-related homicides, that doesn't leave five thousand murder victims at all, let alone victims of illegal aliens. (A certain number of the gang- and drug-related murders are committed by illegal aliens, but not several thousand.) Even if you include victims of traffic accidents in your definition of "murdered," the numbers won't hold up. The illegal alien problem is serious. Making spurious statistical claims cheapens it and insults its victims. And spell her name right. It's "Tibbetts," not "Tibbitts."

It's also "Mollie," not "Molly." Doesn't she deserve better than to have both her names misspelled?
