Masks Encourage The Fomite Or Infected Transmission Of Covid Particles From Hand To Face....

The problem with the virus size argument is that they're carried on water droplets or something similar, not free-floating tiny bits of virus. The masks DO stop virus-laden droplets. Ear-loop surgical masks help keep the droplets from spreading out, but don't do much to keep it from getting in.(Kind of like a sneeze guard at the salad bar, but better.) A properly fitting N95 or similar mask keeps the virus away from the wearer -- the virus plus what its carried on is larger than what those masks can screen.
Was given the same opinion by a friend who was a doctor way back when Asian tourists started to show up wearing cheap face masks. It may make certain people feel like they are doing something to control their own fate; but not only is this a false promise, there are potential negatives...
But those who pretend to be in charge would never let the "science" get in the way of pandering to the nagging nellies of the "any risk is still to much" persuasion.
