Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe said Tuesday night that he will not yet concede the election as major news outlets have called the election for Republican Glenn Youngkin.
Major news outlets have reported that political outsider Youngkin will defeat McAuliffe in the Virginia gubernatorial election, marking a drastic transformation for Republicans ahead of the pivotal 2022 midterm elections.
However, even though Youngkin is poised to win the election, McAuliffe said Virginia should count all of the votes before declaring a winner.
“So, we still got a lot of votes to count, we have about 18 percent of the vote out,” McAuliffe said.
He emphasized that “every single Virginian should have their vote counted.” McAuliffe wrote in a statement:

There is a very strong likelihood he won't have to surrender just because he lost. Biden and many others didn't haven't to surrender either. Will have to wait to see if he will be allowed to steal the election as well. Same with the other election. I guess some people haven't realized yet that elections aren't an actual result of who voted, legitimacy, or such. If if ends up losing, it will be because someone other than the electorate decided he would lose. This has nothing to do with votes.
Hoping that his ballot order was printed in China and sitting on a ship off of Long Beach.
It doesn't matter how they vote, it matters who counts the votes.......

How this translates is: "We got caught flat footed and only thought that we needed to cheat 30% to win, but now that we know we need 40% we're cranking out some 'late' ballots, so this thing isn't over yet!"
