I admire the guy trying to help his companion. It's amazing devotion. I love my wee dog and would go in harms way for him but he's a dog. That may require me to make tough decisions on his behalf as his life draws to a close or he should suffer misfortune but I don't think I could do what this guy is doing. My wife and I sometimes talk about where we would draw the line with pets. She's softer than me but has the luxury of a tough skinned softie like me to do what needs to be done.
