Never forget Colorado Congresswoman Pat Schroeder who passed away yesterday at the age of 82. She was "educated" at U of Minnesota, and Harvard law school. Years ago the forest service announced that 300 cattle guards in Colorado were no longer needed, and so were being retired, and Schroeder, being a "democrat, for the people", pushed back hard. She publicly proclaimed that if the forest service was going to retire the cattle guards, that the forest service was then going to have to provide vocational re-education so the guards could find other employment. What the dimwit city slicker, leftist and professional sponge didn't know-in spite of representing a constituency in the heart of cattle country-was that "cattle guards" are not people-that cattle guards are the devices that make all the racket when you drive over them and that keep cattle from straying down the road because the cattle are scared to walk on/over them. Exactly what one expects from a moron communist.
I lived in Denver for the entirety of Patty's 24 year stretch in the House. Hard to believe but when I moved to Denver in 1970, it had a solid Republican Congressman.
As bad as she was and there were some whoppers, her successor Diana DeGette is dumber. In fact I'll go so far a to say she's the dumbest white person in Congress.
Now I'm in WA and Derek Kilmer is my rep. I can't fookin' win.
