I counted down the days of Inactive Reserve after I retired the USAF. I stayed 21 years going for E-8 but it was out of my grasp. The last 4 years were misrable as I realized how inept my officers were. I am so glad I didn't make E-8.
Years ago my boss came in at lunch with an 'Impossible' Whopper (Plant Based) and was raved about it. I just said "I am not a cow, I eat cow" and he shut up.
