It's been a constant source of debate, but there's no question that fluorapatite (when the fluoride ion is available in the proper quantity to the developing fetus' tooth enamel) is more resistant to decay acids than hydroxyapatite; this is true of the rest of the bone structure as well. Many reasonably reliable studies (in naturally-occurring fluoride water) show that there are no detrimental side effects to proper levels of fluoride in water. I apologize for going on like this, but this is a particular sorepoint with me as a dentist (retired). It's about the same level as discussing wearing masks (or the clot shot) to the prevent transmission of the COVID virus with the typical, room-temperature, ovine Liberal.
