Barbara O'Neil says some important stuff there in #6 but never says what I consider the really important thing about exercise.
People seem to have the idea that exercise is just to burn some calories, lose a few pounds and look better. No. That's a side effect. The purpose of doing those things is to keep that lung capacity, the flexibility and other aspects of feeling good. Keeping a low resting pulse rate, good blood oxygenation levels and all those other biomarkers is another way of saying, "feeling good." "Exercise" is just another way to say, do things you don't do all the time.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen memes about not being able to put on pants or "since I've bent over, what else do I need to do while I'm down here?" No. Why live like that?
Yeah, sometimes moving hurts. Thing is, if you stop moving, that makes it hurt even worse.
Check out Gary Brecka's morning routine. What he says is the most important aspect is grounding yourself in sunshine while doing deep breathing. Believe me it gets your day off to a killer start. There are a couple other things as well and man, what difference it'll make.
