There’s a pretty good chance that Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is not the famed Zodiac Killer, as some have theorized (we know that is Bernie Sanders) — but could he be the lead singer of ’80s Christian metal band Stryper?
That’s the theory circulating around social media this week after one Facebook user, author Michael Boulerice, posted a side-by-side photo comparison of the Texas senator and Stryper lead singer Michael Sweet.
The photo comparison quickly went viral, prompting a tongue-in-cheek response from Sweet himself:

Dissident billionaire outlines Beijing's four-pronged influence strategy
China is conducting an aggressive disinformation and influence campaign designed to block the re-election of President Trump in 2020, according to a dissident Chinese billionaire who until recently was close to senior Beijing leaders.
Guo Wengui, an exiled Chinese real estate tycoon-turned-anti-communist critic, said in an interview that details of the influence operation were disclosed recently by Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan in Beijing.
The campaign has been underway since the 2018 mid-term election and involves enlisting pro-China elements inside the United States to end the Trump administration after four years.
"China has been protesting western powers trying to interfere in the domestic politics of China but in fact China is not only trying interfere in the domestic politics of the United States, they are interfering publicly with U.S. elections," Guo told the Washington Free Beacon.
According to Guo, who has known current Chinese President Xi Jinping for more than 10 years, the anti-Trump influence operation is being directed by Xi and Wang through the Communist Party of China (CCP) National Security Commission, a high-level body created in 2013 that since then has tightened control over all other security organs.
"For the 2020 U.S. presidential election, the security committee has given very clear instructions that it is not permissible for Trump to win the 2020 election," Guo said speaking through an interpreter.
By deploying its intelligence and influence resources in the United States, the CCP is working to exploit the harsh political divisions between Democrats and Republicans in seeking to unseat the Trump administration.
"President Trump has already caused a lot of damage to the CCP, so they have declared he will not be allowed to have another four years in power," the dissident said.
Chinese interference into American politics was first disclosed by Trump in September and a month later in a speech by Vice President Mike Pence.
Pence stated that the Beijing political interference employs a whole-of-government approach involving political, economic, military tools, and propaganda to interfere in both policy and politics.
"To put it bluntly, President Trump’s leadership is working; and China wants a different American president," Pence said in a speech Oct. 4.
China's technology theft, estimated by the White House to be as much as $600 billion annually, along with other practices and behaviors by China have emerged as a key issue in the coming presidential campaign with Democrats voicing increasing opposition to past conciliatory policies toward Beijing.
Guo said interference during the mid-term elections targeted farms states in the Midwest and sought to turn them against Trump's tougher trade policies toward Beijing.

FBI apprehends terrorists as they tried to board flight at Tucson International Airport.
Two Somali refugees were arrested after the FBI uncovered a plot for them to join ISIS abroad or conduct an attack inside the United States.
“Ahmed Mahad Mohamed and Abdi Yemani Hussein, were arrested for conspiring to provide material support and resources to ISIS, a designated foreign terrorist organization,” reports the DOJ.
Mohamed had obtained lawful permanent residency within the U.S. and Hussein remained a refugee.
The suspects had been in communication with an undercover FBI agent whom they thought was an ISIS supporter and had purchased airline tickets to travel to Egypt, with the intention to travel on to Sinai and join ISIS.
If they were unable to travel for any reason, the pair had planned to carry out an attack inside the United States.
FBI agents arrested the suspects right before they tried to board a flight at Tucson International Airport in Arizona.

The new president of Britain's National Union of Students has said that she wanted to “oppress white people” and have an “Islamic takeover”.
According to Zamzam Ibrahim, 24, from Greater Manchester, the government’s counter-extremism strategy is “disastrous” and “racist”. Ibrahim was elected as NUS president at their annual conference, the union’s third female Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic president in a row. Her parents were Somali refugees to the UK.

Around 600 students’ unions are affiliated, accounting for more than 95 percent of all higher and further education unions in the UK. Judges Seated by Trump Begin to Transform ‘9th Circus’
The Trump administration gained a rare victory this summer in the most unlikely of venues—the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, which is widely viewed as the most liberal federal appeals court.
One big reason: President Donald Trump’s appointments to the 9th Circuit have moved it closer to ideological balance.
The court, long known for being both liberal and among the most overturned circuits, has been a thorn in Trump’s side, ruling against the president multiple times, mostly on immigration policies.
The confirmation of Trump nominee Daniel Bress in July gave the president his seventh judge on the court. It also brought the once lopsided appeals court to 16 Democrat appointees and 12 Republican appointees, with one remaining vacancy.
The administration won a 3-0 victory in June regarding a Department of Health and Human Services policy to restrict funding for family planning clinics that perform abortions.
While Trump hasn’t flipped the majority on the entire 9th Circuit, his progress increases the likelihood that randomly drawn three-judge panels will have more originalists, said Travis Weber, vice president for government affairs at the Family Research Council.
“The new judges will increase the credibility of this court,” Weber told The Daily Signal, noting that it long has been derided by conservatives as the “9th Circus.”
“We should have judges that interpret the Constitution rather than activists trying to legislate from the bench, which we’ve seen from the 9th Circuit,” he said.
Weber noted that most recently, the 9th Circuit has been the go-to venue for liberal activists seeking to block the agenda of the Trump administration.
This includes policies denying federal funds to “sanctuary cities,” which are local jurisdictions that refuse to assist federal immigration agents.
The court also has thwarted the administration’s “extreme vetting” policy designed to prevent migrants from failed states, including several majority Muslim countries, from coming to the United States.
The California-based 9th Circuit is the nation’s largest appeals court, encompassing California, Alaska, Arizona, Montana, Nevada, Hawaii, and Oregon. It now has more Trump-appointed judges than any other...
