In Düsseldorf, the German police arrested four foreign men who allegedly raped a 22-year-old woman. The incident had already occurred on Tuesday, according to the police.
The alleged rapists allegedly approached the woman on the street on Tuesday evening and said they wanted to take her home. Together they went to the Volksgarten, a park, where they allegedly sexually abused their victim. A witness alerted the police, who arrested a 32-year-old foreigner on the spot.
The investigation in recent days led to the arrest of more suspects. According to Düsseldorf police, one is an 18-year-old coloured Brazilian, a 21-year-old African from Angola and a 34-year-old Moroccan.
In recent weeks, similar cases made headlines. Last Saturday an Iranian and a Bulgarian sexually abused a 17-year-old girl in Chemnitz. In Ulm, the prosecutor is investigating five asylum seekers from Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran, who allegedly gang-raped in a 14-year-old girl.
In Paderborn, a city in the west of Germany, because of massive problems with foreigners, the two outdoor pools have had to be closed several times in the past summer. The city in North Rhine-Westphalia has however deliberately kept the incidents from the public and has only now admitted to the forced evictions, reported Radio Hochstift.
The Social Affairs Officer Wolfgang Walter spoke about it at the youth welfare committee: Scenes of violence, unhealthy situations and unsightly acts. There were almost daily incidents in the baths. They ranged from irreverent behavior towards security personnel to violent brawls.
According to city administration, there is a connection between the situation in the outdoor pools and the free admission for “young people” living on social welfare. The offer should be canceled and in the future only children under the age of 14 should receive free admission to the two bathing establishments.
Last summer, the Düsseldorf Rheinbad was cleared because of riots by mostly foreign youths. This case and similar situations in other swimming pools had triggered a debate on safety in bathing establishments.
Meanwhile, the series of rapes by foreigners has continued in southern Thuringia. Over the weekend, an Iranian attacked a 16-year-old girl in Meiningen. The police said on Monday, the victim was on her way home from a private party.
There, the girl and the Iranian had met shortly before. The man tried to physically approach the 16-year-old on the street, but she rejected him. “He did not let go of his plan, attacked her, pushed the girl to the ground and sexually abused her,” the police said...
