New York Woman Gets 13 Years For Funding ISIS With Bitcoin

Zoobia Shahnaz was sentenced to 13 years’ imprisonment by United States District Judge Joanna Seybert for providing material support to a foreign terrorist organization, specifically more than $150,000 to the Islamic State, and attempting to travel to Syria to join ISIS. Shahnaz pleaded guilty in November 2018.

Between March 2017 and July 2017, Shahnaz defrauded numerous financial institutions to obtain money for ISIS, including a loan for approximately $22,500. Shahnaz also fraudulently obtained more than a dozen credit cards and used them to purchase approximately $62,000 in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies online. Shahnaz then made multiple wire transfers totaling more than $150,000 to individuals and entities in Pakistan, China and Turkey that were fronts for ISIS.

Shahnaz accessed ISIS violent jihad-related websites and message boards, and social media and messaging pages of known ISIS recruiters, facilitators and financiers. She also performed numerous internet searches for information that would facilitate her entry into Syria. Court-authorized search warrants executed at Shahnaz’s residence on Long Island resulted in the seizure of terrorist and jihad-related propaganda, including a photograph of a suicide belt of explosives and a night vision scope.

Greta Thunberg Condemns Coronavirus For Causing Apocalypse 10 Years Early

STOCKHOLM—Greta Thunberg has come out to condemn the coronavirus outbreak, saying the virus callously ended the world ten years before climate change even had the chance to.

As Thunberg is known for her fiery speeches and doomsday predictions about climate change, she began to worry that the spread of this virus would take the spotlight off her and her brave efforts and instead cause the world to worry about an actual, immediate crisis.

Finland’s left-wing, feminist-led government has expressed an intention to subvert Greece’s sovereignty and support the invasion of Europe by helping illegal migrants from Turkey claim asylum.

When Turkish PM Recep Erdogan announced at the end of last month that his country would facilitate the passage of potentially hundreds of thousands of migrants into Europe, the situation on the Greek border quickly flared into a crisis. Mainstream reports have revealed the Turkish military is offering transportation to migrants, as well as arming them and even attacking Greek border guards.

With tens of thousands of Muslim migrants massing at the border to Europe and attempting to force entry, promising a repeat of the disastrous refugee crisis of 2015-2016, even the EU was forced to contend with the situation and sent border patrol reinforcement to Greece. Patriotic Eastern European nations, in particular Poland and Austria, also sent muscular support with the intention of helping Greece keep defend their borders.

However, the feminist-led government of Finland has taken a different approach, stating that its own personnel, rather than turning people away, will help them claim asylum, in a series of confusing statements given by its cabinet ministers.

Maria Ohisalo, the Interior Minister and Green Party member, said that Finland would “support Greece” by “abiding by international obligations” which include both secure borders and a “right to apply for asylum,” despite ostensibly recognizing “Turkey’s attempts to use people as political pawns.”
