White South Africans will be resilient to the end. Their only regret is the speed with which it now comes.

Coming from a one-man mountain with more shrapnel scars than most, things must be looking bleak in South Africa.
And it’s worse than any of us can imagine. Eighty-four farm attacks since lockdown began, twelve white farmers slaughtered from their land. The footage of the aftermath of one of the attacks circulating on Telegram and sent to me — too brutal to share. Only monsters could do such things to the elderly in their own homes.
As many of us celebrated the 4th of July this weekend, there were three murders in two days, one of them so unspeakably cruel that even those hardened to the news of torture of farmers by black gangs have found themselves white-knuckled at the speed of the horror.
When these massive men like Jess feel it, we need to stop and listen. They are the first people I would run to if I needed protecting: strong, sturdy, unflinching. These strong South Africans are part of the land, they have it coursing throughout their blood just as the sunshine and water spills through the crops and trees on their soil.
Hearing the horrible news I want to grab my little daysack — sitting ready with my passport and power plugs — pull on my boots and go. I am desperate to head back to their country, somehow leap into the struggle and to help the murdered be heard. For now I share their pictures with you, hopelessly trying to reanimate them as individuals, instead of more bodies on a pile.

Academics Try To Get Own Study Canned After It Finds Inconvenient Truth About Race & Police Shootings

Being the authors of a widely cited academic study ordinarily would be a good thing. But not for Joseph Cesario and David Johnson, apparently. They’ve asked for that widely cited paper to be retracted — not because of any errors in it, mind you, but because of who’s citing it.
You probably would be less surprised if I told you the study was called “Officer characteristics and racial disparities in fatal officer-involved shootings.” Cesario and Johnson — from Michigan State University and the University of Maryland, respectively — were among the authors of a study that looked at whether there were any distinct patterns of racial bias in fatal police shootings.
Their conclusion, as reported by Retraction Watch, was that originally there was “no evidence of anti-Black or anti-Hispanic disparities across shootings, and White officers are not more likely to shoot minority civilians than non-White officers.”
Well, whoops. That’s impolitic. The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences in 2019 and been a political football once conservatives started using it to hit back on...

The Left’s lame “Boycott Goya” campaign to bully and silence Goya Food CEO Robert Unanue for praising President Trump has backfired in epic fashion after scores of Trump supporters launched their own counter-boycott called “Goya Buy-cott.”
The resulting “Buy-cott” campaign caused countless Trump supporters to go to their local stores and buy up Goya olives, seasonings, and canned beans like it’s like Christmas.
In fact, Goya couldn’t have had a better marketing effort if it had paid millions of dollars for ads.
President Trump kicked things off by tweeting, “I love Goya Foods!”
Philanthropist Foster Friess tweeted: “Over the past few days, there has been an effort to Boycott Goya, so let’s turn this into something good:

Swedish parents of 11-year-old confront suspected migrant rapist
Two parents in Upplands Väsby in Sweden detained a 16-year-old migrant who is suspected of the attempted rape of their 11-year-old son. The Somali citizen is also suspected of raping a 12-year-old and was earlier sentenced to juvenile custody for other crimes.
Last November a 16-year-old with Somali citizenship was detained by an 11-year-old boy’s parents after a rape attempt on the boy in Upplands Väsby, a locality in Stockholm County, Swedish daily Expressen reported.
A month before the assault on the 11-year-old, the 16-year-old was suspected of raping a 12-year-old boy during a similar assault. Only when the boy offered him his weekly allowance, the migrant let him go.
The 16-year-old has already been suspected of committing 35 crimes during the past year, including assault, unlawful threats, harassment, and burglary. At the time of the assault, he was taken into custody after having been sentenced to juvenile custody.
The mother of the 11-year-old boy told Expressen that her son had come home and said that he had been threatened with a knife and subjected to an attempted rape.
“My son cried; he was hysterical, and said that the boy had a knife. My son was terrified that he would hurt us. I said that we had to find him so that he can’t do this to another child,” the mother told Expressen.
