Feds Start Charging Portland Rioters For Crimes Against State Officers

The feds have started bringing alleged Portland rioters up on federal "civil disorder" charges for crimes against state officers who "have been cross-deputized by the federal government," Andy Ngo reported Wednesday.

From The Oregonian, "Feds start leveling rare civil disorder charges against demonstrators for alleged violence at Portland protests":

Two men and a woman appeared before a federal judge Wednesday in Portland, becoming the first in Oregon to face the rare federal charge of civil disorder for alleged violence during this summer's turbulent protests.
A Seattle man is accused of launching a ball bearing with a slingshot during a downtown demonstration in July and striking a Portland Fire Bureau medic.
A Portland woman is accused of throwing a helmet that struck a police sergeant in the head last...

BARR: Soros And Cohorts Pumping Billions Into Mail-In Vote Effort

Americans justifiably are concerned about foreign entities working to influence the outcome of our 2020 elections. There is, however, one party with just such a plan already well underway and well-funded that is far closer to Main Street, USA than any foreign entity — George Soros.

Soros and a handful of fellow far-left true believers are well on their way to investing billions of dollars to ensure that tens of millions of mailed-in ballots decide who will be our next president.

On the surface, their plan appears benign and wholly in the public interest, with nary a hint of the leftist agenda for which Soros is well known. For example, a recent story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution described an effort by a pair of nonprofit organizations to mail more than two million applications for absentee ballots to voters across Georgia. The article noted that the organizations – the Center for Voter Information and the Voter Participation Center – plan to follow this initial tranche of absentee voter applications with additional mail drops in the coming weeks.

These mass mailings are designed to ensure that as many voters as possible receive absentee ballots, ostensibly to protect them from the “dangers” posed by the coronavirus were they forced to vote in person. It is revealing, however, that the applications are not being sent to voters generally, but only to those described as “irregular voters,” who traditionally or historically do not vote.

The term coined by the Voter Participation Center for this class of preferred voters is the “Rising American Electorate,” a fancy name for what the organization has determined based on polling are voters most likely to vote against Donald Trump — single women, people of color, and younger voters. The goal has nothing to do with the “public service” of increasing voter participation in our democracy or protecting them from the coronavirus; it has everything to do with defeating President Trump.

The primary vehicle nationally for the massive mail-in ballot drive as represented by the Voter Participation Center’s work in Georgia and a handful of other “battleground” states, appears to be the New York City based Brennan Center for Justice. This law and public policy institute has long been heavily subsidized by Soros, and this year reportedly is set to...

‘She just started hitting me’: Colorado woman reportedly assaults 12-year-old boy with Trump sign

A 12-year-old Colorado boy was allegedly assaulted by a grown woman while he was riding his bike because of a sign supporting President Donald Trump.

Police in Boulder are reportedly seeking the woman in the alleged incident which took place Monday afternoon as the young boy rode his bicycle. The woman, who was described as someone in her 20s or 30s, was riding a moped as she passed the boy, made a u-turn and came back to attack him, according to a police report.

According to Boulder police spokeswoman Shannon Aulabaugh, the woman reportedly told the unidentified boy, “you want something to look at?” the Denver Post reported.

She then allegedly hit him on the head with a closed fist before striking him a few more times. Once he had fallen off his bike to the ground, the woman reportedly scratched him as well and, as the boy related to police, she unsuccessfully tried to steal his pro-Trump sign as he used it to defend himself.

The boy’s father, Jesse Rosales, reportedly gave police the details about the incident as reported by his son who noted that the scratch inflicted by the woman “burned,” according to...

Facebook Announces More Restrictions On Political Advertising, Promises To Weed Out 'False Victory' Claims

Mark Zuckerberg, the Facebook CEO who turned out to be the only Silicon Valley CEO to have the temerity to stand up to both the "woke mob" demanding Facebook run every conservative-leaning group off its platform, and the #RussiaHoax fanatics who insist Zuckerberg was duped by Putin into helping Trump rig the election - a fanciful narrative with no basis in fact.

But that hasn't stopped Democratic pols and, well, pretty much everybody to slam Facebook as an agent of chaos in our society, an example of corporate scapegoating at its finest.

In the face of an advertiser boycott and mounting political pressure (few have more to lose if Biden triumphs than Zuckerberg), the company has once again caved, and ceded to its critics yet another draining concession via its advertising business. Of course, this isn't the first time.

In a statement to the press Thursday morning, Zuckerberg said Facebook would block new political ads during the final week of the election, and also develop a process for suppressing 'premature' claims of victory on the platform.

"This election is not going to be business as usual," he said, acknowledging the difficulties of voting during a pandemic.

"I’m worried that with our nation so divided and election results potentially taking days or even weeks to be finalized, there could be an increased risk of civil unrest across the country," he said in the statement, adding that "our democracy is strong enough to withstand this challenge and deliver a free and fair election."

As for expectations that the results of the election likely won't be known on election night, Zuckerberg said "it’s important that we prepare for this possibility in advance and understand that there could be a period of intense claims and counterclaims as the final results are counted."

To ensure that no fraudulent claims of victory are propagated on Facebook - a luducrious notion that has been propagated by the press and the intelligence community without, as the liberals like to say , "a shred of evidence" - Facebook will partner with Reuters, the financial newswire service, to ensure the integrity of its election night results.

The ban on new political ads during the final week of the campaign is intended to stop campaigns from spreading "misinformation" just as voters are heading to the polls.

Finally, Facebook will also take steps to "protect election officials" from threats of violence during the vote-counting process. Meanwhile, Facebook will continue to swiftly remove any "misinformation" about the voting process - like, for example:
