Report: Audit Finds Over 10,000 Potential Non-Citizens Registered to Vote in Texas
A new report says that an audit of the Texas voter rolls has found that there could be almost 10,000 non-citizens registered to vote.
The report in the Epoch Times said that the number was gleaned from a release of an audit of the 2020 election performed by the office of the Texas Secretary of State.
The office investigated four counties – Dallas and Harris, which have a history of voting Democratic, and Collin and Tarrant, which have a history of voting Republican, though Tarrant County flipped to blue in the 2020 election.
The four counties represent about a third of the state’s population.
The Epoch Times report stressed that the audit showed nothing that would have altered the results in elections in any of the four counties audited.

Sam Taylor, assistant secretary of state for communications, told the publication the bottom line was that no major problems were found with the 2020 election.
“Generally speaking, nothing was found on such a large scale that could have altered any election,” he said.
However, the audit did find that statewide 11,737 potential non-citizens were on the rolls at the time it was conducted, the Epoch Times reported. That does not mean those individuals had actually voted — only that they were registered.
The audit stated:
“Beginning in September of 2021, the SOS implemented a comparative process utilizing DPS citizenship data pursuant to a 2019 settlement agreement. Since that time, 11,737 possible non-U.S. citizen voter records have been sent to county registrars for review statewide. Of the 11,737 records, 278 voting records have been cancelled due to confirmation of non-U.S. citizenship by the county. Additionally, 2,049 voter records have been cancelled for failure to respond to...

Two symbolic events in the struggle for human freedom over oppressive government transpired last month with barely any notice from the American media. The first was the thirty-year anniversary of the collapse of the Soviet Union. The second was the Chinese Communist Party's removal of monuments commemorating the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre that occupied sacred ground on Hong Kong university campuses, including a replica of the famed "Goddess of Democracy" statue that was erected in the square just before Chinese military forces killed, kidnapped, or crippled thousands of students and workers pleading for individual liberty.
It is a sad testament to how far the United States has fallen as a nation once synonymous with freedom that neither event caused much of a stir among the pampered princelings of D.C. I suppose it seemed disjointed to the creatures of our swamp leviathan to celebrate victory in the Cold War over an evil empire that stifled speech, micromanaged economic relations, and disappeared its political enemies into the bowels of gulag hell when it is now also perversely engaged in shutting down free speech, squeezing domestic markets into political compliance through mandates and regulations, and tossing election protesters into dungeons where complaints of physical and psychological torture are rife and constitutional due process looks beaten if not dead.
Likewise, how can the lords and ladies (and all their non-binary, "woke," communist-leaning comrades) ruling the American continent from their taxpayer-funded "safe spaces" rail against China's attempts to erase from history its bloody massacre of peaceful demonstrators nearly thirty-three years ago when D.C. is in the midst of an enormous propaganda campaign of its own to transform the overwhelmingly peaceful demonstrations that occurred last January 6 into an "insurrection" that somehow threatened the feds grip on total power? China, how dare you rewrite history to turn "democracy protesters" into "domestic terrorists" at the exact same time we're trying to rewrite history by turning "democracy protesters" into "domestic terrorists" ourselves? Have you no shame? It is clear that when it comes to "shame," both the Chinese and American governments have already purged that word from their respective lexicons.
So here we are in America, facing the conundrum that our political "leaders" have so much in common with the Soviet and Chinese communists of thirty years ago that they are rendered speechless and left incapable of defending the moral imperative of freedom against those who work to destroy it. Cover-Up Continues? Police in Rape Gangs Hotspot Not Recording Ethnicity of Abusers
Police in Rotherham, where the authorities failed to tackle South Asian heritage “grooming” gangs due to political correctness for years, failed to record most abusers’ ethnicity in the year to December 2019.
Despite national and regional inquiries all concluding that victims had been failed and claiming lessons had been learned after the grooming gangs scandal was finally exposed at scale, an investigation by The Times has found that every police district in South Yorkshire, a major centre of abuse, still “routinely failed to log the ethnicity of those suspected of sexually abusing minors”.
Rotherham, which along with Rochdale was arguably ground zero for the scandal breaking nationwide, was the district most reluctant to log predators’ ethnic background, failing to record the ethnicity of an astonishing 67 per cent of suspects.
Independent investigations strongly suggest that a highly disproportionate number of grooming gang abusers are men of South Asian, mostly Pakistani Muslim heritage, and their victims largely white working-class girls and young women, but members of the media are still generally unable to describe suspects as anything other than “Asian” — to the chagrin of British Sikhs, among others — because the authorities almost never release information on their national and religious background.
“I reviewed these historic failings and, like this investigation by The Times, found that data collection on offenders is still poor, which is why I am making it mandatory for police forces to record the ethnicity of those arrested and held in custody as a result of their suspected involvement in grooming gangs,” commented Home Secretary Priti Patel of the situation, not explaining why she did not implement such a measure before the newspapers highlighted police failings if she was already aware of them.
The Tory MP, whose department has broad responsibility for policing, border control, deportations, and national security in the Boris Johnson administration — and is performing rather poorly across the board — added that “community and cultural factors are clearly relevant to understanding why people offend”, although to date police, prosecutors, and judges have remained unwilling to concede that the systematic abuse of mostly white non-Muslim girls and women by mostly South Asian Muslim men is racially or religiously...

Even before COVID or BLM riots, crime rates began to rise under leftist district attorneys who refuse to put criminals in jail.
We still debate the reasons that crime fell in the 1990s. Better policing? Longer jail sentences? An aging population? Removal of lead from the atmosphere? They all may have played a role, along with other factors we are probably missing.
That debate is now academic. Crime has been rising for several years now. The new concern is why, and how we can get it to stop. Again, there are many factors, but the rise of leftist prosecutors who are soft on crime must be at the head of the list.
In my hometown of Philadelphia, crime as a general matter has been getting worse for years, and there are statistics to prove it. Philadelphia, like many big American cities, is experiencing more violent crime than at any point in its history.
Murder rates are a good proxy for violent crime generally, not only because it is the most horrific crime, but because it is harder to obscure statistically. Whether the authorities want to report it or not, whether or not the police get called, it is hard to hide the fact that someone was killed. Looking at that statistic gives us a fair impression of the level of violence in the city more generally.
The trend is discouraging, to say the least. In 2021, Philadelphia shattered the previous record in murders, which was 500 in 1990. As of December 31, a total of 559 people have lost their lives this year in the City of Brotherly Love. After some of the safest years in decades, the murder rate has climbed steeply since 2016. This year now has more than double the murders of just five years ago.
