The left’s assault on conservative news network One America News
Where government cannot censor for constitutional reasons, Silicon Valley does
Is it any wonder that one of the few issues that brings Republicans, Democrats, conservatives and liberals together these days is hostility to Silicon Valley’s overwhelming reach into almost everything that goes on in this country?
Conservatives are outraged as what they see as Big Tech’s hostility to conservative views and the subtle and less than subtle ways Facebook, Google, Twitter and the rest are making it more difficult for conservatives to communicate. For the longest time the mandarins of the ether denied any intention of silencing those with whom they disagreed, but that time has passed.
Canceling or “de-platforming” views not widely shared within their community has become not just a now-and-then occurrence they can blame on “algorithms.” The crusade against anyone who disagrees with the liberal politicians they support is now too obvious to deny.
The government itself isn’t constitutionally capable of closing down media outlets for political reasons.
The First Amendment is a bar that many liberals would like to rewrite, and they have managed to persuade those who haven’t given the matter much thought that the world would be easier to live in if those with whom they disagree can somehow be shut up or made to simply go away.
Where government cannot censor, Silicon Valley does. Corporate big wigs can do what the Bill of Rights forbids of the Biden White House, the FCC or Chuck Schumer and his friends.
Except under extraordinary circumstances, private entities are free to censor political speech. Unless the business refuses to bake a cake for a gay marriage ceremony, they can usually decide whom they will or won’t serve or sell to. That doesn’t matter much if, say, a tavern owner tells his customers that if those who disagree with him want to discuss politics they should drink elsewhere. Some of his customers may find that obnoxious, but it’s his right and doesn’t seriously threaten the free discussion of ideas so important to the maintenance of a democratic society. Besides more tolerant taverns are not hard to find.
However, when the owners of large platforms supposedly open to public discussion become the way millions of Americans share and debate political issues, denying access to those the owners of such platforms don’t like has profound consequences and threatens the very foundations of a free society. And that is precisely what the “woke” corporate owners of such platforms are doing. It began with Facebook, Google and Twitter, but now the satellite carriers of cable news are ridding themselves of customers whose views they find abhorrent.
Questioning the government and prevailing liberal views on COVID-19 to election integrity or police reform will in today’s world get one labeled an “extremist,” “conspiracy theorist” or a purveyor of “misinformation” and “fake news.” The owners of these huge corporations are persuaded that theirs is the one true faith and like the organizers of the Spanish Inquisition are dedicated to quashing dissenters.
Their latest target is One America News, a conservative news network based in California. OAN’s contract with DirecTV runs out in April, and the carrier has announced there will be no new contract. Since a huge percentage of the infantile but growing network’s revenues come through viewers who gain access to OAN via DirecTV, the carrier is throwing out a conservative news outlet simply because DirecTV’s owners disagree with OAN’s content.
DirecTV and CNN are both owned by AT&T. CNN is safe because DirecTV’s owners agree with the “news” the network spouts, which is hostility toward conservative issues and an unbending hostility toward anyone who has anything good to say about former President Donald Trump. OAN’s many sins include a bias against the Biden administration and big government. That Mr. Trump has tweeted that OAN is his favorite network couldn’t have helped, as the keepers of the gates at DirecTV discussed letting the tiny network...
Biden's ICE Cancels Deportation Order for Illegal Immigrant Accused of Killing Teen Girl in Drunken Hit-and-Run
Deportation is no longer in the cards for an illegal immigrant accused of the hit-and-run death of a 19-year-old Texas woman.
Adrienne Sophia Exum died in a north Houston crash in November 2020 when the car she was driving was hit by a pickup truck driver, Heriberto Fuerte-Padilla, according to KTRK-TV. She was ejected from her car and died at the scene.
Police said Fuerte-Padilla was drunk at the time of the crash and tried to run away from police after the accident.
In the closing days of the Trump administration, Fuerte-Padilla, who was in the country illegally, was marked for deportation.
But now, as the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement implement new Biden administration rules designed to reduce the number of deportations, Fuerte-Padilla is no longer...
A Farming Insider Has Warned Me That The Coming Food Shortages Are Going To Be FAR WORSE Than We Are Being Told
The information that I am about to share with you is extremely alarming, but I have always endeavored to never sugarcoat things for my readers. Right now, there are shortages of certain items in grocery stores across the United States, and food supplies have gotten very tight all over the globe. I have repeatedly warned that this is just the beginning, but I didn’t realize how dire things have already gotten until I received an email from a farming insider that I have corresponded with over the years. I asked him if I could publicly share some of the information that he was sharing with me, and he said that would be okay as long as I kept his name out of it.
According to this farming insider, dramatically increased costs for fertilizer will make it impossible for many farmers to profitably plant corn this year. The following is an excerpt from an email that he recently sent me…
In response, he expanded on his comments in a subsequent email…
As for the farming, I see it getting bad. Things like fertilizer and liquid nitrogen have tripled and quadrupled in price. Yes commodity prices are up, but that certainly wont cover the new increased input costs. We are in NC, so while certainly not like the midwest, we still grow grain. The midwest of course will have these same higher input costs as well.
Corn is one of the foundational pillars of our food supply.
If you go to the grocery store and start reading through the ingredients of various products, you will quickly discover that corn is in just about everything in one form or another.
So what is our country going to look like if a severe corn shortage actually happens?
I don’t even want to think about that.
Of course fertilizer prices are not just going through the roof here in the United States.
In South America, high fertilizer prices are going to dramatically affect coffee production…
Over in Africa, fertilizer prices could result in...
According to this farming insider, dramatically increased costs for fertilizer will make it impossible for many farmers to profitably plant corn this year. The following is an excerpt from an email that he recently sent me…
“Things for 2022 are interesting (and scary). Input costs for things like fertilizer, liquid nitrogen and seeds are like triple and quadruple the old prices. It will not be profitable to plant this year. Let me repeat, the economics will NOT work. Our plan, is to drop about 700 acres of corn off and convert to soybeans (they use less fertilizer, and we also have chicken manure from that operation). Guess what? We are not the only ones with those plans. Already there is a shortage of soybean seeds, so we will see how that will work out. The way I see it, there will be a major grain shortage later in the year, especially with corn. I mean, we are small with that. What about these people in the midwest who have like 10,000 acres of corn? This will not be good.”Once I received that message, I wrote him back with some questions that I had.
In response, he expanded on his comments in a subsequent email…

Corn for example, typically takes about 600 pounds of fertilizer per acre, plus 50 gallons of liquid nitrogen. Times that by many acres and thats a lot of money. Soybeans take much less. The plan for us, and most others around here, is to drastically cut corn acres and switch to soybeans. Problem is, there is apparently a soybean seed shortage because others have this plan as well. We were lucky enough to pre buy enough to do it. However, most people, especially younger farmers, or farmers where that is all they do, probably don’t have the money to front like that.I was stunned when I first read that.
The way I see it, a corn shortage will come. I guess there could possibly be a glut of soybeans, but remember that could depend on the seed being available. I guess there are other alternatives, maybe milo, oats, or barley. Of course the corn market is much larger. Think animal feed and ethanol. I mean for animals, soybeans are used too, but its a mix. What happens to the animal producers who depend on reasonably priced corn? I just don’t see how it can end well. I mean, even if we end up with plenty of soybeans, even a glut, then you have a busted market for that. I don’t know. There just isnt much history to base any of this on. I just see it hurting both grain farmers, and animal farmers, and also translating to more shortages and price increases for consumers who buy the end products.

In South America, high fertilizer prices are going to dramatically affect coffee production…
Christina Ribeiro do Valle, who comes from a long line of coffee growers in Brazil, is this year paying three times what she paid last year for the fertilizer she needs. Coupled with a recent drought that hit her crop hard, it means Ms. do Valle, 75, will produce a fraction of her Ribeiro do Valle brand of coffee, some of which is exported. If you love to drink coffee in the morning, you will soon be paying much more for that privilege.
There is also a shortage of fertilizer. “This year, you pay, then put your name on a waiting list, and the supplier delivers it when he has it,” she said.
Over in Africa, fertilizer prices could result in...

One Hispanic Man Was Responsible for a 344% Increase in Anti-Asian Hate Crimes
What happens when you don’t prosecute criminals and lie about crime.
From inside a dirty tent that might once have been green came a stream of deranged profanity.
A significant portion of the attacks on Asian people, often elderly, that triggered the proliferation of #StopAAPIHate hashtags was generated by the mentally unstable drug addicts who populate streets like this with the benevolent permission of California’s Democrat overlords.
Those same politicians then hold press conferences which blame attacks on elderly Asians on Trump supporters and offer “solidarity” in place of law enforcement and police protection.
“San Francisco says anti-Asian and Pacific Islander hate crimes up 567% in early data,” media headlines declare. That’s a pretty big number, but it just means that they rose from 9 to 60.
Of those 60, 31 or 344% are being blamed in some reports on one man: Derik Barreto.
In one of the most San Francisco hate crimes imaginable, Barreto allegedly rode around on a scooter, using a slingshot to smash the windows of Asian businesses for five months.
At which point he was released again.
Barreto didn’t just smash the windows of Asian businesses, but of different types of businesses, and he also robbed some of the businesses he attacked, but apparently he told the police that he didn’t like Asian people.
Soros DA Chesa Boudin tried to impress an angry Asian community furious at him for enabling a crime wave by throwing the book at Barreto and hitting him with hate crime enhancements, but it was a very small book. And there were complaints that Barreto was still on the loose.
But then so is every criminal who hasn’t actually committed mass murder in broad daylight.
Records appear to show a man going by the name of Derik L. Barreto had been arrested in 2015 for "Assault w/Deadly Weapon Or Assault w/Force Likely To Produce GBI", "Threats Of Violence", and "Vandalism $5000 Or More". Next year he was busted for driving with a suspended license. In 2020, there was another arrest for burglary and vandalism. In the summer of 2021, there were multiple arrests for burglary, vandalism, possession of burglar's tools, carrying a concealed weapon and use of a deadly or dangerous weapon.
And the added hate crimes enhancements.
“We absolutely do not tolerate violence or hate in San Francisco. Chinese-owned businesses should be able to operate without fear of being racially targeted by vandalism, burglary, or harassment,” Chesa Boudin bragged in August. “We stand with San Francisco’s AAPI community against hate and will do everything in our power to make sure everyone is and feels safe.”
In December 2021, after all that, a Derik L. Barreto was once again charged with burglary and vandalism, suggesting that he had committed yet another similar crime after being set loose.
So much for Boudin’s promise of public safety for Asians targeted by racists. Or anyone else.
This crime spree took place in the Bay Area across the span of six years. The pattern of the alleged crimes is fairly consistent. So is the failure of the authorities to do anything about it.
There are, roughly speaking, two types of hate crimes. The stereotypical one, like a cross burning, is carried out specifically to terrorize or intimidate a minority group. It has no criminal motive beyond the bigotry it seeks to express. But the far more common form of hate crime experienced by Asians, Jews, and many others, including white people, is simply crime.
Assaults, muggings, and robberies committed for criminal motives by thugs who also happen to be bigots. These bigots, often members of minority groups, may single out targets from a particular race, religion or ethnicity, but their primary motive is criminal. They’re not engaging in hate crimes to express their hate, they’re expressing hate as part of their...
Penzey’s Spice Company Called All Republicans Racist, Then Lost 40,000 Customers in Two Weeks
Republicans ‘raced out to buy a crapload of guns because maybe they were finally going to get their chance to shoot a Black person,’ Penzey’s Spices CEO wrote in a customer email.
Just two weeks after a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based spice company held a “Republicans are Racist” sale over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, it is dealing with a massive loss of business and openly begging for new customers.
Penzey’s Spices CEO Bill Penzey, who routinely uses his company’s email list to send anti-Republican screeds, sent a newsletter earlier this month in which he accused GOP voters of fantasizing about killing African Americans.
“Remember how Republicans, going against a mountain of evidence to the contrary, once again lied and said BLM [Black Lives Matter] wasn’t a peaceful movement but instead terrorists inciting violence throughout the country and then raced out to buy a crapload of guns because maybe they were finally going to get their chance to shoot a Black person?” he wrote. “What a bunch of racists.”
In a follow-up email Friday, Penzey acknowledged this allegation had cost his business a substantial number of newsletter subscribers.
“After starting the year with All Republicans are Republicans and following up with Republicans are Racists we’ve set a nice little Boycott Penzeys! surge in motion,” he admitted. “It certainly wasn’t unexpected, but if it’s within your means, you picking up a small stack of Gift Cards would help.”
Penzey informed supporters that his “Republicans are Racists” email cost his newsletter 40,005 subscribers—approximately 3 percent of its total. While this was offset by 30,000 new fans, he explained, he still needs to make up for the lost business and is offering a deal on Penzey’s Spices gift cards to lure them in “with the hope this might make it a bit easier for you to share some and possibly get a few good new customers to replace the...
