Canvasser accused of falsely registering a voter during the presidential election

A canvasser who worked for a non-partisan voting registration group was arrested Thursday for registering a non-citizen to vote during the fall presidential election.

Manuel Alejandro Angulo Barrientos, 29, was charged with the third-degree felony of false swearing under oath and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional facility on Thursday. His bond was set at $5,000.

The Miami-Dade state attorney’s office said Barrientos registered a man named Nelson Alles without his knowledge or his “agreement or consent.”

Law enforcement was alerted to the violation, state attorney Spokesman Ed Griffith said, when the voting registration group GRSG Company tried, but was unable to, verify the registration. When they reached Alles, he denied registering to vote for the November election.

So GRSG contacted the department of elections, which contacted the state attorney.

“The guy says I never registered. I’m not even a citizen,” Griffith said.

In October, two women were arrested for voter fraud in Miami-Dade. Temporary elections worker Gladys Coego, 74, was accused of illegally marking ballots in the local mayoral election for Raquel Regalado. And Tamika Curgil, 33, was charged with filling out five forms without voters consent on behalf of United for Care, the campaign that fought to...

Poll: Only 30 Percent Believe H-1B Workers Are Needed

A minority of registered voters believe the foreign guest worker H-1B visa program is necessary, according to a new poll by POLITICO and Morning Consult.

The poll found that only 30 percent of Americans say the H-1B visa program allows foreign workers to fill jobs that American workers are not able to perform. Some 44 percent said those foreign workers take jobs away from Americans.

The vast majority of Americans also said the number of H-1B visas allotted every year to companies should either be decreased, 22 percent, or kept at the current levels, 38 percent. Only 23 percent of Americans said the number of H-1B visas given out should be raised.

Americans are split on the issue of the overall impact of legal immigrants on the U.S. A total of 43 percent of Americans say immigrants “strengthen” the country, while 43 percent said they are a “burden” because of their presumed strain on social services like health care and housing.

A plurality of Americans said they disagreed with increasing the levels of low-skilled immigrants entering the U.S., which currently make up the majority of...

Belgian Police: Moroccan Migrant Raped up to 230 Women Since 2015

A serial rapist from Morocco — who also robbed and drugged his victims — could have assaulted as many as 230 people since 2015, Belgian investigators say.

The revelation about the 36-year-old migrant, who La Dernière Heure reports has been in prison for the last five months serving time for crimes including rape, assault, embezzlement, theft, and breach of trust, was made by Belgian police last week.

As the count of known victims of the Moroccan rose from 19 to 22, police disclosed the man known to the press as Fouad K. had contact with 230 women in 11 months based on his mobile phone records. The rapist used internet profiles to lure women to meet up with him, and investigators are appealing for other victims to come forward.

On the dating sites Badoo and Twoo, Fouad K. presented himself as an Italian going by the names of Raf, Rafke, Rafaello, Roberto, and Raphael Bastiaans. Using a picture of a cyclist to ensnare women, the Moroccan claimed to be an IT technician working at...

Democrat Propaganda Group Shareblue Has Ties To Chinese Government, Host Of Foreign Special Interests

As the American press has shone a spotlight upon alleged Russian involvement both in the U.S. presidential election and its aftermath, Disobedient Media has identified a number of foreign public and private sector groups using DNC operations to peddle influence in American politics.

An investigation into a shadowy world of shell companies and chains of influence stretching all over the globe has revealed that Democratic propaganda figure David Brock’s organization Shareblue appears to be a apparent front group being used by a number of Chinese, Middle Eastern, British, Israeli, Mexican and American special interests to spread anti-Trump and anti-democratic rhetoric both during the presidential election as well as in its aftermath.

David Brock is a one-time Republican turned Democrat operative once labeled by Time Magazine as one of the most influential players in the DNC. Brock has a long history working for the Democrat Party in media promotion and propaganda, starting with his organization Media Matters.

During the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Brock ran the group Correct the Record, which paid an army of online trolls to “harass, censor Trump supporters and spread their own propaganda” across various forums and social media outlets online. In the aftermath of the election, Brock has returned to...
