The Senate Ups Judicial Confirmations Despite Democrats’ Obstruction
The Senate adjourned for the August recess last week, but not before confirming another 13 judges to the U.S. District Court.
Now is a good time to evaluate what the Senate has accomplished with respect to President Donald Trump’s judicial nominees. The Heritage Foundation’s Judicial Appointment Tracker shows some of the good news, as well as the bad.
The Senate has confirmed a total of 146 judges to life-tenured federal courts since Trump took office, which is on par with previous presidents. This includes 75% of the nominees Trump has sent to the Senate, a figure that until recently lagged behind past presidents.
This shows that the Senate has picked up the confirmation pace in the last few months.
In fact, during the period May through July, the Senate confirmed judges in the double digits for three consecutive months—only the second time the Senate has achieved that in history.

Gasoline Prices Under the Green New Deal Would Reach $13 per Gallon
Many of the Democrats running for President in 2020 support the Green New Deal that was introduced by Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Senator Markey of Massachusetts. The Green New Deal, however, would require a $10 tax increase on a single gallon of gas, according to a study by the CO2 Coalition. Key to the Green New Deal is the goal of eliminating gasoline-powered vehicles in favor of electric vehicles. But in order to make electric cars desirable to consumers gasoline prices would have to increase to $13 per gallon. Such a tax would undoubtedly harm consumers and the U.S. economy.
CO2 Coalition Study
The CO2 Coalition study entitled “The Social Cost of Carbon and Carbon Taxes” examines the social cost of carbon (SCC), which is an estimate of the discounted future costs to the world economy due to the atmospheric warming caused by a metric ton of carbon dioxide emissions, and the level of carbon taxes needed to encourage a major change in technology. To make decisions in the energy sector, the Obama administration established its own social cost of carbon. The Obama administration’s decision to look at costs to the world economy was contrary to official U.S. policy at the time because those estimates were supposed to be made only on the basis of the U.S. economy. This deviation allowed a much higher predicted cost of carbon than if they had followed protocol. The SCC used by the Obama administration was $42 per metric ton, while the SCC used by the Trump administration in regulatory rulemaking has been below $10.
Carbon dioxide is a benign gas and is the byproduct of the conversion of fossil fuels into energy. There are many natural sources of carbon dioxide, which account for about 96 percent of annual contributions to the atmosphere. A gasoline-powered car emits about a metric ton of carbon dioxide every 2,500 miles. The SCC is often suggested as the logical starting point for a “carbon tax” to encourage the use of alternative sources of energy, such as transitioning from gasoline-powered vehicles to electric vehicles.
The CO2 Coalition, as well as others, found that the government’s SCC is so sensitive to input assumptions that small and reasonable variations can produce almost any carbon tax. As a result, it is not a suitable tool for guiding public policy, including taxes on energy.

The authors of the study find that a carbon tax of about $1,000 per metric ton of carbon dioxide or roughly $10 per gallon of gasoline would be needed for electric cars to compete with conventional ICE vehicles based on the full cost of ownership and operation of the vehicle. They estimate that it costs about $2,700 more per year to use an electric car instead of a conventional car, which would save about 2,700 kilograms of carbon dioxide. As a result, each metric ton of carbon dioxide not emitted costs about $1,000.

Parents Catch FBI in Plot to Force Mentally Ill Son to Be a Right Wing Terrorist
It’s become a near-weekly occurrence. Somewhere in some state, the FBI will announce that they’ve foiled yet another terrorist plot and saved lives. However, as the data shows, the majority of these cases involve psychologically diminished patsies who’ve been entirely groomed, armed, and entrapped by FBI agents. Simply put, the FBI manufactures terror threats and then takes credit for stopping them.
While many of these cases have garnered attention and been exposed in the alternative media, a recent case out of Oklahoma sets a new low for FBI and exposes how insidious these plots can be.
Through the hundreds of ‘foiled terror plots’ the FBI has ‘busted’ over the years, many of them have been focused on people of Middle Eastern descent or people associated with ISIS or Al Qaeda. This time, in the case of Jerry Drake Varnell, the 23-year-old diagnosed schizophrenic, accused of attempting to bomb a bank, the FBI fomented terror from a right wing dialogue.

Underneath his condition, he is a sweet-hearted person and we are extremely shocked that this event has happened. However, what truly has us flabbergasted is the fact that the FBI knew he was schizophrenic.The State of Oklahoma found him mentally incompetent and we, his parents have legal guardianship over him by the Court. These documents are sealed from the public, which is why no news media outlet has been able to obtain them. The FBI clearly knew that he was schizophrenic because they have gathered every ounce of information on him.”

Knowing a sane person would likely never attempt to blow up a bank, the FBI deliberately targeted a severely delusional and mentally ill person. This is wrong on so many levels. Will the next mass murderer they groom come directly from a mental institution?
David Steele, a 20-year Marine Corps intelligence officer, the second-highest-ranking civilian in the U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence, and former CIA clandestine services case officer, had this to say about these most unscrupulous operations:
“Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are created by our own security services. In the United States, every single terrorist incident we have had has been a false flag, or has been an informant pushed on by the FBI. He has no job, no money, no vehicle, and no driver’s license, due to the fact that he is schizophrenic and we; his parents do everything we can possible to keep him safe and functional….. He has suffered through countless serious full-blown schizophrenic delusional episodes and he has been put in numerous mental hospitals since he was 16 years old. The FBI came and picked him up from our home, they gave him a vehicle, gave him a fake bomb, and every means to make this happen none of which he had access to on his own.

Little Marco Rubio Joins the Senate Legion of Doom in Pushing for Gun Confiscation
Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) urging them to consider his bipartisan “red flag” bill (S.7), during the committee’s next business meeting.
Rubio introduced this bill in March 2018, following the Parkland Massacre of February 2018.

That same year, Florida enacted its own red flag gun confiscation order, becoming one of the first red states to fold to anti-gun pressure.

Castro’s Stunt Outing Trump Supporters Backfired Major, Could Cost His Seat
But not only did Rep. Castro get attacked by many for doing what he did, he made another mistake and it could cost him his next election, The Washington Examiner reported.
Edward Steves, owner of a manufacturing firm that he said is the oldest company in San Antonio, told the Washington Examiner that he once hosted a fundraiser at his house that raised over $300,000 for Julián Castro’s mayoral campaign.
But Joaquin’s tweet and follow-up statements chastising local Trump donors may backfire for his own reelection races, Steves said.
“He’s probably got 44 people that are going to contribute heavily to whoever might run against him in the primaries,” Steves said.
Donald Kuyrkendall, president of a San Antonio commercial real estate company, shared concern about his family’s safety and wondered what the Castro brothers hoped to gain by the Twitter outing of Trump donors.
“Were his intentions to incite people to picket Bill Miller’s barbecue or to come to Don Kuyrkendall’s house, you know, assault my wife, make nasty comments?” Kuyrkendall said.

Democrats Propose Creation Of National Trump Voter Registry
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressional Democrats recently noticed a problem in our nation: many of the people who voted for Donald Trump have yet to be beaten up.
Our Democratic leaders in Washington decided it was time to solve this problem because they are really good at identifying problems we didn't even know we had and then solving them.
Presidential candidate Joaquin Castro, who spearheaded the program, explained, "The solution is simple and cost-effective: a national Trump Voter Registry, forcing anyone who voted for Trump to register so people around them will be able to be cautious and vigilant while living among such reckless hate."
Anyone who voted for Trump will have to sign up on the national registry's website. Then, their name and address will automatically appear on a map of the country so that their neighbors can avoid them and hopefully beat them up.
The bill also contains many other requirements for Trump voters:
- They cannot live within 1,000 feet of a school, park, or civilized Democrat.
- They must knock on all doors of other people in their neighborhood when they move in and identify themselves as a Trump voter.
- They are required to wear their MAGA hats at all times so they can easily be identified as a legitimate target of harassment.
- They must hire a crier to go before them and shout "SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!" whenever they go outside.
- They are not allowed to get a job or conduct commerce unless they agree to get the Mark of Obama on their hand and forehead.
