A1 wasn't invented in America......
Yes, but the 1862 date refers to the founding date of the distribution company that brought it to the US, though it wasn't actually distributed until 1906. The sauce itself was first sold in the UK in 1831.
If your steak needs A1, it wasn’t cooked right.
