Yes, there was a time when Democrats loved America and believed her worthy of defense. Indeed, if you go back far enough, you can even find Democrats who believed in individual freedom and Constitutionally limited government. But I'll bet those Democrats aren't getting a lot of mentions in "our" "public" schools.
