Apple Employees Demand Company Stand With Palestinian Muslims

Company relies on Muslim slave labor

group of Muslim employees at Apple is pushing the tech giant to publicly condemn Israel's "illegal occupation" of the Gaza Strip following a recent spate of violence caused by the terrorist group Hamas.

In a letter to CEO Tim Cook, members of the Apple Muslim Association on Monday expressed their "sadness, anger, frustration, and disappointment" about "the struggle and pain of the Palestinian people, and their decades-long existence under military occupation." The letter calls on Apple to support the Palestinian cause, noting that the company "has led the way not only on products, but on human rights issues."

The employees, however, have yet to speak out about the treatment of Uyghur Muslims in China, where Apple’s supply chain is largely located. Up to one million Uyghurs are imprisoned in "reeducation camps" in the western province of Xinjiang. A recent report found photo and documentary evidence that seven Apple suppliers use Uyghur forced labor to make iPhone parts.

More than 1,000 Apple employees have signed the letter, which boasts that Apple employees "reached out to support and will continue to support our Asian communities in the face of anti-Asian hate and attacks." The letter also notes that Apple employees "will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our Black and Brown communities in their fight for justice and equity."

The signatories demand Apple not use the words "conflict" or "clash" to describe the fighting in Gaza, "as those words imply a power symmetry that simply does not exist." The letter similarly demands Apple refrain from commenting on "both sides" of the conflict in Gaza, "as doing so would feel to us as the equivalent of ‘all lives matter’—a minimization of the disproportionately larger pain and suffering of the Palestinian people."

Workers at other tech companies have also called on their employers to formally condemn Israel. On Wednesday, a group of "Jewish and allied" Google employees called on the company to formally terminate its contracts with the Israel Defense Forces.

Christ, this is a Zionist blog, an advocate of the enterprise of mass theft and genocide going on in Palestine! I hadn't realized. Well, I'll stop looking at it.

Fuck all that noise, and Bruce, those who start shit (Hamas et al) should not be surprised that there is a response. Give Palestine back whatever Palestine started with! That is jack and shit. There was no nation of Palestine prior to the UN creation of the state of Israel, and the Islamists have been doing their utmost to destroy the jewish state since it's creation. Terrorism, sneak attacks you name it. Fuck all that, Israel has earned it's right to exist. Let the rest of the middle east take in the Palis and solve the problem.

Gromit. Bruce was being sarcastic. I do appreciate your comment though.

Palestine is not and has never been a nation, it has always been only a general geographic area, like New England, or the South Pacific.

So, a "Palestinian" is like me... a "New Englander".

Where are the protests in the street for me?

The "Palestinians" were spread across the region, but did not have a legitimate country. They were best described as a tribe or culture and every where they went they created convict in the host country. They wore out their welcome in Jordan and Syria, the only place they go in Egypt is the Gaza region, and their own leadership demand they remain in the "refugee" camps because it makes PLO and PA huge amounts of aid money, yet refuses to negotiate in honest good faith with anybody. The acts of terror committed by these groups prevent any resolution of this issue.
The country of Palestine was created in 132 AD so Hadrian could expel the Jewish population so they actually if you roll back the pages of time are the real "colonizer/invaders"
I do not have a manor issue with the policies used by Israel in defence of its people, during my lifetime there have been 12 US presidents, multiple Israeli government turn overs, and up until his death Yassir Arafat who was the only constant in the negotiating process, and when offered everything but the destruction of Israel refused to accept it and closed negotiations.
I do not have a dog in this fight, but have seen how well Rhodesia turned out when handed over to the "Underdog", South Africa appears to be heading the same direction, and if Israel falls to BDS, and the crop of chic protester/malcontents it will be driven off the same cliff quite possibly even faster than either of the other failed.
